2012 Slammy Awards To Air On Raw Next Week, Fans To Determine The Winners

WWE announced prior to tonight’s Raw that the 2012 Slammy Awards will air live on next week’s show at 8/7 CT on USA Network. And for the first time ever, fans will determine the winner of each “Slammy” exclusively via the WWE App and WWE’s second screen experience, “WWE Active.”

WWE fans can also use the hashtags below to nominate candidates for each category.

    CM Punk will most likely get the superstar of the year award since he’s been champion for over a year. Daniel Bryan should win the breakout star award; i’m hoping Ryback doesn’t get it.

      Well I prefer D-Bry over Ryback but I think Ryback with the whole Undfeated streak and back to back PPV Main Events with another on the way has had more of a breakout year. D-Bry should have gotten breakout star last year though. IMO anyway. As for Punk yeah he should get superstar of the year but if fans vote then naturally they will lean towards Cena. Even if the voting is a hoax like most WWE “Fan Voting” is then they will also lean towards Cena to add fuel to the fire of the whole “Respect” thing with Punk.

    Breakout star of the year is obviously Dolph Ziggler. (The guy that said Daniel Bryan? I don’t think he’s been paying attention)
    Superstar of the year is CM Punk,
    Comeback of the Year is probably Wade Barrett,
    Kiss of the year is probably AJ and Kane,
    Shocking moment is either going to be AJ being announced as the RAW GM (most likely) or CM Punk giving the Rock a GTS at RAW 1000.
    LOL moment of the year = that Diner scene with Kane and Daniel Bryan.
    And finally MATCH OF THE YEAR! I’m not certain, but it’s most likely Cena vs. Rock at WM 28.

      I think Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler are both pretty good choices for Breakout Star of the Year…Daniel’s done pretty good this year with his WHC run (although the ending was turd) and has done brilliantly with getting over with the Yes and No chants and his work with Kane is just awesome…Dolph Ziggler has had phenomenal matches and has shown he’s pretty good on the mic and he’s really proved that he deserves to be the WHC and I’m really hoping he cashes in this Sunday…so I think both you and pwnez (the guy who said D-Bry should get the award) are right, it should be either one of the other of the 2…=)

      How is Ziggler a breakout star? He debuted over two years ago (and even sooner if you count Spirit Squad). Don’t get me wrong I love Ziggler and think he’s one of the best there is currently, but calling him a breakout star is like calling Roman Reigns a grizzled veteran.

    Well Hopefully somebody returns next week as i remember last year it was kane that returned in the slammys last year Hopefully its Mark henry or christian . but im not liking this fans vote for every slammy idea because we have to remember there are stupid little kids and females that if they see cena for any category they are going to choose him. I for one know that next week might be a win or a huge fail for WWE .. Andy why the heck there is no FEUD OF THE YEAR ? even if the only good one was d bryan vs cm punk . ( this is my opinion lol i hope aj and punk win kiss of the year but cause of cena its not going to happen .

    Ever since RawActive started i never believed it . but i wonder how this ship called the slammys will sink because i can tell who is going to win every category just but looking at it . I kno that AJ kissing Kane will be the shocking moment of the year . or maybe even cm punk gts on the rock either one will win . Match of year will be rock vs cena . but deep down i kno it was d bryan vs cm punk heck even the triple threat with Kane in no way out was awesome . i hope superstar of the year is not Cena Anybody but him .. People may be surprised by this but I Think AJ Lee will win breakout star of the year. i know Dainel bryan derserves it but it just makes sense Unless its rybotch .

    I’ll probably feel disappointed by this year’s slammy. Even last year had a disappointment when HHH won the shocker of the year and not Cm Punk.
    I guess Punk can have a Superstar of the Year but… well you never know, WWE will be like “hey, we must give something to Sheamus too, don’t forget that”.

    I love how they are going hardcore with the “Raw Active” not two weeks after they sabotaged it, when the fans clearly voted for Daniel Bryan over Kane, and they still put Kane in the match. Good job idiots. Sabotage your live voting gimmick, then lean on it heavier than you ever have.

    1) Who cares? Slammy shows are pretty lame.
    2) DVRing instead of watching live… Thinking Cake Boss/Next Great Baker will be more entertaining to watch live. This way, I can fast forward through all of the pointless crap.
    3) Commercial-free SmackDown should be pretty interesting… Hope they can pull that off!

Honestly, i know a lot of people are going “huh?!” but the reality is he suffered a really bad injury which is what caused him to leave the Nexus in the first place. His return as Ryback from such an injury and to return in the spot he did is nothing short of incredible.

    - Kiss of the Year – Don’t really give a shit.

    - “Tell me I did NOT just see that” – Debut of The Shield

    - LOL Moment of the Year – The Cobra vs. Mr. Socko from last year’s Royal Rumble.
