3-Hour RAW Statistics, WWE Keeping Talent Busy During WM29 Weekend & More

– With other wrestling promotions (including TNA) running shows in the New York area over WrestleMania 29 weekend, WWE is making a concerted effort to keep their talent busy and away from TNA stars.

– F4wonline.com has released some interesting statistics regarding RAW’s expansion to 3 hours last summer. The extra hour of RAW has resuted in 33% more matches per show and matches going 33% longer. The amount of in-ring wrestling per show has doubled to 78%.

Wrestlers who have benefited from the additional TV time include John Cena, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Primo and Epico.

Wrestlers who have had less television time since RAW’s expansion are Zack Ryder, Tensai, David Otunga, The Great Khali and Santino Marella.

    WWE is making a concerted effort to keep their talent busy and away from TNA stars. In othe lr words, WWE is trying to avoid another lawsuit. BTW the people who doesn’t get airtime you mentioned are the ones no one cares for the most part.

    Of all the talent mentioned above that have less TV time since the 3-hour expansion I don’t care of except Tensai. I always thought they could have made something big with this guy but turned him back into a joke just like they did in the old days when he was Albert. A-Train was his most serious persona but also a weak heel; I remember when he wrestled every main eventer or upper mid-carder everyone would kick out of his finisher ”The Derailer”. Me and my brother would joke about that often but at times it did piss me off.

    I’m not sure Cody, Primo or Epico have actually benefited from the extra hour. At least lately, Cody has been squashed when he’s on Raw. As for Primo and Epico, they might be better off being off TV than jobbing as a team to Khali or the Ryback.
