Backstage News On Daniel Bryan’s Push, CM Punk/Shield Situation On RAW

– One of the most frustrating things about WWE over the past few months has been the handling of Daniel Bryan’s character. According to a backstage source in WWE, source, when it comes to Daniel Bryan’s push, it’s not that the WWE creative team didn’t want him to get revenge, win the WWE title or even gain some sort of symbolic win – it’s that no one on the creative team has the type of influence that Vince McMahon or Triple H have, who ultimately make the final call.

Well then i don’t know whats wrong with HHH seeing how every fan in every arena they go to chant for Bryan,Orton is still his little pet

And those 2 dont like the small guy. That pretty much sums up why I dislike those 2 a lot. It made absolutely no sense to bring big show in the storyline. I feel bad for the dude cause he’s a lightning rod in the ring. No one can turn an average match into a magnificent match like this dude can so I feel so bad for him. He’s the real best in the world

  • Bro88

I swear how dumb do you have to be. You have a red hot superstar that is unbelievably over with the audience. He’s a guy that has the dedication and intensity to make any match look great. He is decent on the mic, not spectacular but decent enough, and he has great in ring presence. How can you not push this guy as champ??? Because he’s short? Rey was shorter and weighed way less. Because he isnt as muscular as Cena? Plenty of former WWE champs arent build like that. Because he came from the indy circuit and wasn’t a WWE cookie cutter creation? Pretty sure the biggest names in wrestling wrestled somewhere other than WWE before they made it to the big show.

Only reason they wont push him: they are RET@RDED

    • just saying

      right on!

    • Bad News Buzzard Follower

i agree with you 100% bryan is still the hottest superstar in the wwe theres still a chance if bryan can win the rumble

      • Bro88

He needs to. I mean they still chant his name during the Title segments every chance they get. He is more relevant than either world champ and that is sad.

        • Bad News Buzzard Follower

i think punk deserves the rumble win too but one could be champ and we all get the match we want punk bryan wm the new shawn vs bret without the hate

          • Bro88

Problem with Punk winning it is hes in pretty bad shape right now with injuries and if he is gonna be in the Main Event spotlight for that long hes only gonna get worse and wont be able to give us the 5* match hes capable of giving even if hes facing Bryan. Not that I wouldn’t like to see them face each other but itd be tough to work out right now, not impossible but tough.

          • Bad News Buzzard Follower

i see what youre saying maybe thats why its best if this match where to happen bryan takes the workload (title)and punk wins the rumble and just cruises to mania with out a rivalry or a small one like cena and kane had before the rock cena match at wm 28

          • Bro88

Id say have Bryan win the Rumble against the odds that HHH stacks against him. Have him defend his WM match spot at EC and win against HHH(and gets some revenge) and goes on to Mania. Have Punk take off due to being badly beaten by the Shield at TLC(makes The Shield look good and Punk gets time off). Have him return at the Rumble and be the final two against Bryan but Punk loses. Have Punk want the title match at EC the next night on Raw but HHH is against it because its bad for business but Punk convinces him to have a number one contenders match but its featuring 3 others in a fatal four way. Punk beats the odds and pisses off HHH. HHH changes the title match from Punk vs Champ to EC for the title with Punk entering first. Punk wins with some help from Bryan to stop HHH from interfering. Punk Vs Bryan for the title at Mania and they spend the next month defending each other and their title match but being very competitive with each other. Punk gets his Main Event and Bryan wins the title finally and for real this time.

          • Bad News Buzzard Follower

i got one w/o punk. hhh screws orton and cena to win title/s bryan wins rumble hunter defends titles in 3 way at rumble then ec at ec. bryan vs hhh wrestlemania bryan wins payback on the grand stage. i may be in the minority idk but i’d rather hhh be champ over orton and cena

          • Bro88

You certainly are. I do not ant HHH to win it. He doesnt need it and it adds nothing to the storyline IMO. He needs to just stay as the bad guy boss and maybe have someone else win it that he hand picks because Orton has been a disappointment and he dislikes Cena even more.

    • Johnson

When you have the WWE fans in arenas all around wearing your gear, chanting YES YES YES and “DANIEL BRYAN” even in matches and in skits where Bryan isn’t even there… you’re pretty much made! Push him? Push him where? He’s already pushed. He’s already a top name. He’s got people chanting for him everywhere when he’s not there. “YES!” has replaced “WHAT?” He’s a top dog. He was the only guy to ever beat Cena in a one on one clean match over the title at a big name ppv ever (since 2005) with no BS and no extra stipulations. And he’s about to marry a chick he’s crazy about. All that other stuff you mentioned, about being short and not as big… I’m sure doesn’t even cross Danielson’s mind at all.

      • Bro88

I wasnt talking about what went thru Bryan’s mind. I was talking about Vince and HHH. They are the ones that think hes too small, has the wrong look, etc. He’s OVER not being PUSHED. They are 2 very diff words with very diff meanings. The fans chanting for him constantly means he’s over. If he was in Main event feuds consistently then yes hed be getting pushed but instead of winning and moving up to other challenges he got pushed back down to a mid card feud with the Wyatts where he is getting his ass handed to him in group attacks, same thing happened to him during the Orton feud where he always ended the show laid out. That is not pushing crap thats burying. And they set up that match with the built in idea that Cena was already injured so he was weakened and thats why Bryan beat him. They never said it straight out but mentioned it as a possible factor in leading up to the match.

        • Puppet H

Vince is the one that think he’s too small, not HHH. If HHH is in that matter, then NXT will suck so bad, Brad Maddox would be fired. Shawn won’t have been his best friend. Come on we both know Vince loves his big buys and will do anything to push them. And Bryan is being pushed, Zack Ryder was OVER not being pushed, Bryan was over and pushed but currently down to mid-card as it seems. As long as he gets top midcard or main event status, that means he’s being pushed. And burying Bryan, I don’t think so! And I’m not being sarcastic! 3MB, JTG, Alex Riley, Evan Bourne, Mason Ryan are what you call burying

          • Bro88

No HHH thinks he is too because thats part of why he doesnt want The American Wolves, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards. Brad Maddox is only doing so well because he can talk quite well considering how short hes been on tv and has fallen into a part he plays well. They gave Bryan a chance for one reason and thats because how over he was but in that push he was made to get beat down at every turn, ridiculed for being different looking(Be A Star), and then shoved off to the side because they wanted “big guys” to be in the spotlight which is why Show got a push. Now he is getting beat down by a mid card faction weak in and weak out when he could have at the very least teamed with Punk to help build the tag division like theyve said they plan to do. Instead he’s in a storyline that makes no sense what so ever just to get him out of the spotlight and will probably lead to him being a heel just so they can kill all of his buzz. Theres multiple levels of burial. The low card version known as being a jobbers, Bryan is the hottest thing in WWE and they are trying to kill that, thus buried.

          • Cujo999

HHH didn’t want the American Wolves because they already had similar talents in NXT, and despite that, he’s still giving them an opportunity on the advice of those around him. If HHH only wanted big guys, he would not be replacing Mystico with Hunico in the Sin Cara gimmick, which is his creation, and giving him a major push. As far as Bryan being buried, seriously? Ridiculing and gang beating babyfaces is what heels do, for pete’s sake. The reason they are gang beating Bryan is to keep him from looking weak. If he was being buried, then he’d be getting beat down and/or jobbing to individuals on a regular basis. For another, the Wyatt’s are one of the hottest heel entities in WWE right now, and working with them helps build them and keep Bryan relevant. How does the storyline make no sense? Triple H, in character, doesn’t want Bryan in the title picture, so he’s getting the Wyatt Family to do his dirty work for him.

          • Puppet H

Still think HHH is burying Daniel Bryan? Past event and 12-16-13 has proven your biased statement as hatred to HHH with all that burial crap. Just because a star faces a mid-card doesn’t mean it’s a burial. Geez, you read too much LordsofPain HHH bashing that you even come up with the assumption that there are “multiple levels of burial”.

          • Bro88

You are a complete moron. You must not have even understood what I said. Plus just cause he got a title match doesnt mean they will give him a hair’s chance at actually beating him. Hardcore Holly got a title match against Brock Lesnar back when they were both full time superstars doesnt mean he was being pushed. They just had a story and a ppv to fill. I am not biased against HHH at all. Has he done great things? Hell yes. I just dislike how he is treating someone who is as over as DBry. You push guys who are over, who are great in ring, and who are good on the mic. Not push them aside because you dislike how they look. That’s stupid. Yet the only reason they keep giving him some tiny ray of spotlight is because regardless of what they do to get him out of it the fans love the guy. And what the ever loving hell is LordsofPain?? I have never heard of it whatever it is, no joke.

Watch WWE turn Bryan heel just like they did with Punk.

That is the best way to stop all momentum. And WWE did it when Punk was white hot after the “pipebomb”.

      • Bro88

Oh I all but guarantee they will. They can’t stand when someone gets over and its not who they pick. THey do it every single time. They give them a “push” that makes them look weak as hell and then when they don’t draw they blame the wrestler they pushed instead of the build. Its mind numbingly stupid.

    • lunchbox87

The thing is,Orton is buddy buddy with HHH he has been since he won the WHC thats how he got the push

      • Bro88

Its been longer than that, HHH pick him to be in Evolution(legitimately) but they should think long term not who’s my buddy and how can I boost them up.

    • mrchopper

I think they’re keeping him just below the title picture until WM. There’s a number of different ways they could go with it right now (still think Punk should get charge of either Smackdown or RAW and start bringing up NXT guys to “challenge the stale state of affairs the fans have been forced to put up with”), one of which would include Cena putting over his good buddy as the Unified (urgh) Champion on the grandest stage of them all…

      • Bro88

The problem is with all the ways they could go they will go with the least interesting and most predictable.

      Stine cold steve Austin.

    • https://twitter.com/StrangeDeranged Pozessed

I reckon they are doing this on purpose cause like come on, if you saw Bryan win the championship on the next PPV you’d give a HUUUUGE reaction right? A lot of the excitement will be built from him being so close but never actually getting it, just let time take it’s cause… I predict a Royal Rumble win or something else to lead up to him wrestling for the WWE championship or Undisputed championship (if it comes to that) at Wrestlemania.

Can’t ignore the crowd forever. They just need to keep chanting for Bryan during PPV main events, or better yet just LEAVE the arena during the TLC main event. Do you know how f’d up that would be? To just have people LEAVING a show they paid for in the main event out of sheer discontent for the participating parties? Of course, the likelihood of something that drastic happening isn’t very high, but something like that would send a huge message to WWE management.

    • Archimedes_Slim

That would be pretty awesome, tho I doubt it would actually happen. A much more likely scenario will be constant Daniel Bryan chants during that main event, or they might start chanting for everyone but the two guys competing like that Orton match after Mania. Mike Chioda was more over with the crowd, but I still don’t think they got it.

      • Bad News Buzzard Follower

cole: listen to this crowd erupt for cena.
crowd: we want bryan clap clap clap we want bryan

      • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

would be great. i hope the crowd turns on both of them. WWE needs a wake up call.

  • Bodacious Bob

I wish Shane O Mac would buy TNA, steal the Shield, Cesaro, Punk, Bryan, Wyatt, and Ziggler, and bury his old man.

  • Bodacious Bob

Vince should be lucky to have a guy like Byran. I figured WWE would be dead by now but guys like Punk and DB have renewed many fans interest in the product. You need a new generation of great pro wrestlers for the future, and DB is one of them.

  • Only God Says YES!

ok so this is bull….so its not all creative its vince and trips? well it seems like they wanna be broke lol if i were them i would read these “internet fans” comments and take into consideration at least what we want! smh i love wwe but theyre stuck in their old ways. no one wants to see nothing but but jacked up guys in every top spot. we wanna see Cesaro, Ziggler, Punk, Bryan, Seth. Ambrose, hell even Kofi and Zack Ryder are pretty over (or were) and the list goes on as we all know. i just give it time and hope that vince and others see where the dollars lie and stop being so stubborn.

  • oppa

He didn’t know at 10:00 p.m who Punk should face? The older Vince gets, the more WWE is sounding like WCW.

    • TheOneTheyChose

who Punk should face on smackdown not on raw that night.

  • Michael Carter

If someone is as white hot as Bryan, why not give him the Ball And Let Him run With it, at least for 3-4 weeks? Is it because they are putting out such compelling television at the moment? Sure, why not? Wwe, your product is so hot right now that I’m sure you can’t afford to rock the boat.

  • Adam-Michael

The only saving grace would be if Bryan won the Rumble… went on to Mania and won the title there… otherwise they have completely F’ed up

    • G.I.R.L.

My hope is that Randy unifies the title and loses cleanly to Bryan at WM.

  • syn kara

Giving Daniel a title win would just be pandering to the audience. Sometimes the crowd favorite doesn’t get the big win. They also saturated Night of Champions/Battle Ground/Hell In A Cell right on top of each other and that probably contributed to a relatively low number of PPV sales. But its certainly clear almost NO ONE wanted Cena back so soon, and definitely a bad idea to just automatically give him the World Title. If he somehow loses the unified match, he will probably just win the Rumble or Chamber match and be right back in the title match main event of WM30, while the real current stars Punk and Bryan will have something lame like a tag match against Tons of Funk with the Divas as Lumber-Jills !

.. Man , its moments like these that i see not much of a future for WWE , DANIEL BRYAN was the hottest thing going around , and what does VINCE and his doofus sidekick HHH do ? what they do with most talented superstars , bury them the fuckk away .. even after all these years , VINCE is still a muscle bulged up 7 foot giant lover egotistical maniac !! .. i thought HHH joining the ranks would be better , but as time passed by , he did nothing but to follow VINCE ‘s footsteps .. bullshittt !! .. but WWE UNIVERSE is with BRYAN , and as long as they are with him , WWE cannot hold him back !! ..

    • Bushwald Sexyface

Hunter doesn’t own the company. He really has no choice but to go along with whatever Vince says when it’s all said and done.

  • number1bigdaddy

    vince is the boss

  • Q

Vince McMahon and Triple H Suck!!!!!!!!

  • Ares

My only hope for this is if Daniel wins the Royal Rumble then win the title at Wrestlemania.

I don’t want to stress too much about this (I love the WWE, but I’m not going to waste my time stressing over it. I choose just to not watch it sometimes lol).

  • Hershey Maxwell Barber

    “Best for business.”

  • Bushwald Sexyface

Like I said in a previous post, all final decisions are made by Vince. We can all thank him for the horrible product the WWE has produced since Summerslam.

  • Jack
  • Abz

Why don’t they just give Dean Ambrose to punk. How hard is it to have Bryan run with the title up until wrestlemania and later have punk win the belt from him.

  • Scott Dorian Dancer

daniel will keep himself over regardless of who he is facing. when someone gets injured or drops the ball they will come crying to him asking him to wear the strap. on a scary note: get that alcohol ready. we may have to deal with the roman reigns title run soon. mabey throw in some Advil too.

  • Vincent Kennedy McMahon

John Cena makes the money, Daniel Bryan doesn’t.
