Backstage News On Kane Planning To Retire From WWE In The Near Future

WWE Superstar Kane has started a new insurance company with his wife in Knoxville, Tennessee called “The Jacobs Agency.” The company offers auto, home, motorcycle, RV, boat, life and commercial insurance, along with retirement planning.

Kane has reportedly been telling friends that he has been planning to retire from pro wrestling for a while now, but that he has trouble walking away from the money. Apparently his plan is to continue to wrestle as long as he can still make the big money.

The feeling locally in the political world is that Kane has expressed interest in running for public office as a Libertarian party candidate at some point.

Kane had a great career. There’s no reason for him to get any Championships in the near future. What he needs to do right now is to put over new talents. Health-wise, I think he has little left in the tank judging by the way he was relegated to just an on-scree character with less matches. Kane is a future HOF. Great guy both in and outside the ring. Not only people backstage have something good to say about Glenn Jacobs but fans who have met him have nothing but praise to the guy.

      • Stephen

He has been wrestling less as of late probably because that’s the storyline they came up with. Its tough to stay relevant for this many years, even more so when you are a monster. Kane is doing what he can to stay relevant and not get boring.

    • omega riddler

Kane as a politician, scary thought.

      • Bodacious Bob

He’s actually an extremely intelligent person.

        • omega riddler

          But very intimidating

          • Bodacious Bob

Oh def, I’d vote for him. I’d like to see him choke slam Congress lol

    • Jeremy-County Roberts

noooo nooo noo noo noo. Give him one l@st heel run with the 90’s big red machine.

    • Yofiel Malachi Yacov

A libertarian slave to the money? say it ain’t so. Ah, the irony.

    • WCWJobber

Kane is 46 and he still wrestles the same as he did in the early 2000s its amazing

      • WarPigsLukesWall

One of the many reasons he’s a legend.

        • Nobby

          Shut up turd

          • WarPigsLukesWall

      • SomeInternetGuy

He will certainly be missed. I think most people appreciate all he’s done to put people over.

      • SOBI

Yes Kane is the hardest worker and the most unappreciated guy in the wwe he has put over many young guys and has the ability to be Instant Heel or Face
A definite future Hall of Famer and One of the best big guys of all times

        • ibeBrave

Yea amen to him putting over people….he puts DB over like crazy…..kane is smart as hell too if he wanted to he probably would be able to run wwe better than triple h could

          • bob

            A men to that

          • Brian

            You’re definitely correct.

      • Pozessed

The most amazing thing is that he isn’t just that age and wrestles at the same level, he is a 7 ft 300+ lb guy who can still compete like he did back then.

The guy has cut some of the most recently memorable promos in WWE for me.

You see, many people say about unmasking him was the worst choice, but I disagree, it opened up his character and made it so interesting, I’ve always been a Kane fan the guy is straight up one of the all time greats.

      • _Bruce Wayne_

Not to mention he’s won a ton of championships in his career. WWE Champ, World Heavyweight champ, ECW champ, Hardcore, IC, WWE Tag, World Tag, WCW tag, Money in the Bank. Definitely will be leaving a legacy behind. Kane 4 Mayor!!

        • S.P. LaFontaine

It always bothered me that he never won a Rumble, since he would usually dominate them.

        • Anonymouse

          Glen Jacobs for Senator

        phenomenal talent ill miss kane

    • QuiteFrankly2k

Hall of Fame worthy career. He has nothing more to prove.

    • llllNinjastarllll

Just like most wrestlers , they all stay for the over paid money

      • Bodacious Bob

Football players make 1000X the amount of an average WWE wrestler. And that is for 16 games a year. If anything they are underpaid given the amount of work and risk of injury.

      • Y2J

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

      • Harry Be

Lol who wouldn’t take more money? Easy to say that when you aren’t in their shoes…this is also how they feed their more power to them ain’t like WWE is in TNA condition

    • FOLEY_is_GOD

“Backstage News on Kane Planning to Retire in the Near Future.”
      He’s not retiring anytime soon.

    • Mai

Kane vs Undertaker = Kanes last run

    • Adam-Michael

I love Kane… he has been going in WWE for what, 15, 16 years? and he has never once missed a step, the guy just knows how to deliver in the ring. He may not be the greatest of all time or be 1 of the most loved but he has left a great legacy and everyone knows who he is and I have never once heard or read anyone in the business to ever have a problem with him nor does any fan have a bad word to say about him…. he is good in the ring, has a great character and will be remembered by fans all around the world.
I will miss him if he leaves.

      • A Realist

Try longer. He first entered the WWE in 1995 as Dr. Issac Yankem.

        • 16 year old ginger dude

He is the second longest tenured wrestler (1995) in WWE as of right now. Only behind the undertaker who has been tenured in WWE since 1990.

    • 9 year old boy

Kane please retire only after you have one last long run with the WWE championship.

      • SOBI

Yes definitely and If not a long run then definitely at a big event like WM or SS

        • S.P. LaFontaine

Would be cool to see Kane and Undertaker have their last match against each other at WM.

          • SOBI

Yes but Kane has already lost to him twice so I would be happy if it was a Last man standing match and both men don’t get up in the end. It’ll be a sort of Tribute to their whole storyline.

    • payton

      He’s probably making between 600,000 – 1,000,000

    • Y2J

Gonna miss Kane when the time comes, he’s been around for so long it’s kinda hard to imagine WWE without him.

    • Nightmare

The title should be Kane not leaving anyime soon, I thought he was retiring when i read the header. Anything to get views and the comment section into a frenzy I suppose right?

    • captaindaddy72

Not gonna lie, I’ll miss Kane when he retires, he’s a future hall of famer and a true legend

    • Harry Be

Kane will always one of my favorites, has been for over 10 years now..

    • Feelmemore

Kane is a beast in strength and smarts, I’ll be sad for sure to see him retire.

    • Buzzard Follower

man kane is one of my all time favorites and i wish him the very best if he does retire soon. credit to wwe memes for this pic

      • Progressed_Now

whoever said farts don’t light obviously never met MVP………or me.

      • Brian

What is this “wwe memes” you speak of?

    • brad

He’s a true legend and the wwe will not be the same without him, I just hope that they give him one more nice run and wrestlemania moment. I always wanted to see the rubber match between him and taker at mania.

      • Justin

It’s only a rubber match when you split the first two.

    • Josh Knepshield

Good for him. He is a legend and will be missed when he hangs ’em up. I just wonder what his campaign slogan would be? “See No Evil” or “Embrace the Hate.” Lets just hope he’s not sworn in to office on May 19th…..ok I’m done. Lol

    • JaffaJoose

… Kane selling life insurance. What the factual uck.

      • Bodacious Bob

He sells you choke slam and tombstone insurance lol.

    • Black Berry

Kane will provide excellent customer service selling insurance to potential customers, for those refuse to buy, Chokeslam it.

    • Marko

If Undertaker vs Sting doesn’t happen at Wrestlemania 31, then it should be Taker vs Kane one last time. If HHH can have 3 matches with Taker, so can Kane because Kane is someone who is synonimous with The Undertaker character and it opened up new depths and horizonts for both of their characters.

    • Michael Williams

he’s not going anywhere trust me on that….

      • S.P. LaFontaine

Would love to see him become the new Pat Patterson backstage. Hopefully not the touching boys part, but the helping young talent part.

        • RUSSO

He could easily be a road agent or a trainer, or maybe helping young talent, just like Malenko, Brinco, Patterson or Rotunda do right now backstage.

    • The Shock Master

It’s not time yet for him to hang up his boots. But when he does maybe in a few years or so, i think that the right way for him to retire is to have a Career v Streak match at Mania with Taker. Both are old, but can still put on a good show. The shear amount of history they have had makes this to me a no brainer.

    • Mr_DJ

Wow, didn’t think that was real.

    • wwe

im done watching if hes gone for good hes the only one left from the Attitude Era that Wrestles

      • Guardian Star Lord

Big Show, Mark Henry, HHH, Undertaker, Road Dog, Billy Gun.

        • RUSSO

          Don’t forget Michael Cole xD

          • TacoAssassin

            Oh god lol

          • The One, The Only, The Ellis!

Thanks for including Michael Cole, Mr. Russo. He’s my favorite announcer in WWE history :)

    • SilentDcM

It’s his time. Money really is the only reason to stay, he’s done it and is definitely a HOFer imo. Growing up as a wrestling fan I would’ve never thought of “The Big Red Monster” as a politician haha. It seems to fit him though, all and all great career and wrestler.

    • PUM

Kane to end takers streak next year!!

    • Wwe’s greatest fan

Kane is one of the best wrestlers I’ve ever seen wrestle

    • Kevin

The same man that set JR on fire and tried to kill his brother on multiple occasions now has an insurance agency and is planning on running for office. WTF

    • silverblackjack

Kane is overrated…I never cared for him much, I always thought he was a jerkoff

    • Pfc Mark Kevin Apalisok

nah he needs to retire soon and at Wrestlemania match somebody should put his career on the line!

    • Dvdestrd

Kane retires… Dr. Isaak Yankem D.D.S. Makes his return.

    • Porteramigo2

If Kane is retiring soon his last match should also double as takers last defence of the streak at WM

    • Nobby

He was a star but now just a slop

    • gimmegimmekevin

I’d like to see him get a formal retirement match. Not necessarily a big farewell RAW episode, coz that would be weird with all the “bad stuff” his character has done. At least have a retirement match against Undertaker or Daniel Bryan at some point and a fond farewell moment with fans. Could headline a B PPV like Payback, MiTB, Night of Champions, etc.

    • xyz

he can be in Office in November!

    • Paul Jones

Mr. Jacobs, “KANE”, Please don’t retire just yet!…You have a lot of unfinished business to take care of!…Namely, the Authority!!!
