Batista Goes On Twitter Rant About WWE Fans Being Negative

went on a bit of a rant today on Twitter, criticizing WWE fans for their inability to differentiate between “show” and “reality.” Here are his tweets on the matter:

  • Buzzard Follower

Batista has the right to be frustrated. He came back at the wrong freaking time and has gotten alot of undeserved crap about it. Still a douche bag but he just needs to clear it out

  • Noah

Batista has every right to be angry.F the negative people!!.

  • SomeInternetGuy

    STOP BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL!!!

Someone in OVW should’ve pointed to him and said, “look Dave, the fourth wall. Don’t break it.”

    • 9 year old boy

      Manz on that dough.

    • MSK_B.O.Y

if CM Punk does it, its a pipebomb but if Batista does it all the complaining starts… Batista is an amazing heel with impressive intimidating physique… he oozes power and arrogance… wwe needs natural heels like him

      • Poltak

I’m surprised at how his douchebag gimmick worked very well lol. I missed his last heel run before he quit WWE the first time, was taking a break from watching wrestling, but it seems like most people like it.

        • raVen

people LOVED it..dunno why he was a cry baby who took up 20minutes of tv time crying and sitting in a chair.

    • Obsessed_Fan

It’s still real to me, damnit!!

  • Luis Hernandez

I respect Batista as a person and wrestler. He’s a great athlete, give him a break

    • wrastlin fan

^this. I’m a pretty big fan of Batista. The only reason why hes been acting like a “douchebag” is because of all the undeserved crap hes gotten since his return. Should he of won the royal rumble? No. But ever since then, the majority of people have been so butthurt by it. Batistas great at what he does, just let him perform.

  • Devon

Rightfully so, “die-hards” are asking for every match to be a 5-star classic, every promo to be a 1999 Rock promo, every top star to put over someone, and etc. And even if they get it all, if their favorite wrestler isn’t on the winning end of it, they complain about how it was poor booking and it sucked. Funny how the adults are the ones who are the crybabies with keyboards now, while the children are happy with what’s given and probably enjoy the show a lot more. Goes to show that sometimes ignorance is bliss, because a lot of smarks seem to love to hate on the show, and act like they’re show critiques and know more than actual bookers. It’s funny really, lol.

    • Ned

      Bang on!

    • Sparkplug

      TESTIFY!!

    • MSK_B.O.Y

couldnt have said it any better! now GO GET THE TABLES!

      • CT3

And if your not down with that we got 2 words for ya…

    • Shyam A

Even if their favorite wrestler wins, they start complaining after a while. Just look at the number of Bryan haters. Hating seems to be the cool thing to do these days.

      • Vince McMahon

forreal, this time last year there was only a handful of Bryan haters in the enitre IWC. Now since WM, more and more smarks want to complain about how Bryan is boring and his mic skills suck. We got what we wanted, there is absolutely no need to complain anymore. And now that we have the fresher product we begged 6 years for, why can’t we all just enjoy what we have until there really is something to complain about.

        • Ayaz

I just imagined all of this being in Mr McMahon’s voice…trippy

          • BeastxxxxMode

            Vince says forreal? Doubt it.

    • bobtamhopp

Sounds like you listen to Busted Open on Siriusxm. All they do is complain about everything and OH how they hate Cena no matter what he does!

    • ObsessiveFanBoy

      Preach!

    • captaindaddy72

Best comment I read in a long time lol

    • MMM

      Nailed it!

    • QuiteFrankly2k

Aye yo, can he get an Amen?

    • essinodub

      Amen

    • Michael Carter

While I agree with what you say, Batista is off with his comments. He really thinks all his backlash is because of storyline hate. As of 2 months ago the plans were for Batista to be champ at this very moment. Would have been an insane decision. He didn’t come back to a period where business was in some slump and they needed stars. They have several guys that have worked hard, got over, and quite frankly became a bigger star than Batista. He wants to blame the responses on fans that can’t separate fact from fiction.

      • Noah

Several guys better then Batista?.I don’t know about that.Batista has a way better WWE career then alot of guys on the roster and still a bigger star then most guys on the roster.Batista has the right to be mad. Some fans b*tch and complain about everything and everyone. If it’s not 100% of there liking,They b*tch and cry about it.

        • GhostOfRonnieMcDonnie

          Preach on bro

        • Toki

It’s not about his past it’s about present and at least half of the roster won’t get gassed ten minutes into a match

    • Terri

      Great comment!

    • Patrick

Technology has shown us how negative people truly are.

      Great comment by the way!

You hit the nail right on the head!!

    • Patrick Treanor

Whilst alot of that might be true it’s nothing to do with why I dislike Batista.

  • jboi

He is right ppl sometimes forget its a show that is scripted…

    • raVen

isn’t the whole point as a wrestler, especially a heel wrestler, is to make people forget that what they are watching is scripted?

  • Bushwald Sexyface

If ya don’t want the negativity, get the f*** off of Twitter. Simple.

    • Angelo

He can’t all wwe superstars have to have a twitter account

      • Bushwald Sexyface

Ok..he may have to “have” one but that doesn’t mean he can’t ignore the negative tweets directed at him like 90% of the roster does.

      • Tom Wing

        Where is Undertaker’s?

        • GhostOfRonnieMcDonnie

          Upstairs

        • Bushwald Sexyface

No broadband in Death Valley :(

    • Zeeeder

He means the idiotic “fans” who bash anything or anyone on the show that isn’t 100% perfect and up to their liking.

      • Bushwald Sexyface

I know what he means. And he’s getting that reaction from what he’s reading on his Twitter account.

      • bobtamhopp

You must mean Busted Open on Siriusxm

  • Jeremy-County Roberts

“Also noticed that most critical fans dont have pics of themselves posted or need to take a good look in the mirror! People in glass houses” i have pics of myself posted and i talk smack :D hey Dave, sux mi dix!

    • ryanbr25

Yea you but u are still a clown!

    • https://twitter.com/StrangeDeranged Pozessed

Yeah everyone has seen your pics bro, you were famous for being the guy who weren’t a wrestler but still never wore a shirt, haha.

  • steven harris

    I wouldn’t call that a rant.

  • Big Stevie Cool

F-Batista he needs to worry about how he dresses rather than his thousands and thousands of fans.

  • HughMan

I think his pants are too tight.

  • Mr. Beardsly

    Regarding “critical” fans; I used to rail against the overly picky, petulant Internet “smarks” as well. But I’ve come to realize a couple of things;

First of all, sometimes people have legitimate gripes. As fans, and people who’ve watched and supported the product for in some cases many years, it’s annoying to watch an angle get started and then fizzle out, or to follow a storyline and have it come to a completely unsatisfying ending. It’s frustrating to watch a talent who you enjoy start to get a push, and then suddenly get buried for no apparent reason, while at the same time a stale wrestler who completely bores you keeps getting shoved down your throat. There are often reasons why these things happen that we as fans don’t see, but that doesn’t make it any less exasperating from our perspective.

Secondly, I’ve come to realize that, for some people, being an amateur critic is just fun. A few people actually get paid for it; for the rest, it’s just a hobby they enjoy. That’s just the level at which they enjoy wrestling. They like rating matches. They like to think about how they would run things if they were the booker. They like to get online and tell everyone what they want to see and how they’d do things differently.

Of course, this isn’t the level that fans are supposed to watch wrestling on. We are just supposed to sit back, suspend disbelief, and get sucked into the matches and storylines as if they were real. But that’s difficult to do in today’s world with kayfabe being so destroyed, and, really, what does WWE care? They’re still watching, aren’t they?

    • Jamie

      Well said.

  • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

Funny, I always thought this guy had issues with separating the show from reality…

  • Ayatollah of rock N rolla

I personally like the fact that he doesn’t bite his tongue about it. Could he go about the situation in a different way? Sure, but at least he acknowledges it

  • Deal wit it

From what I hear, on the show batista is a self important douche and in reality he’s the same, except he’s a douche who cheated on his cancer ridden wife.

  • Coltcabunny

Batista goes on a Twitter rant? In other news water is wet. More at 11…

  • Matt Gallagher

Fans need to realize to stop b*tchin. Every match on Raw can’t be 5 stars. If every match was 5 stars then they wouldn’t sell ppvs. Everyone expects a promo to be this great amazing thing, not all of them are. Do you know how hard it is to be in the middle of 15,000 people in an arena every week? I can barely talk in front of a classroom of 30 so stop complaining and enjoy what you’re given

    • justmenoname

If someone can’t talk well in front of 15,000 people then you know, don’t put them in there in the first place.

  • GN-0015

Dave, fans who pay for the product will always voice their opinions about anything, positive or negative. Deal with it.

  • heterosexual

is this about his skinny jeans again

  • askbillmitchell

This coming from the man who was negative on the direction the WWE was going so he took his thespian talents to Hollywood. Isn’t hypocrisy great?

    • Sigma ?

      Strong. Really strong.

    • adztheman

I remember the night he quit in the middle of the ring…it was one of his better promo efforts..and it should stayed his last…

  • https://twitter.com/StrangeDeranged Pozessed

This sort of negativity is carried throughout life with people too. They don’t let life unfold and see the beauty of it all.

  • Beefy Levinson

After these tweets, Batista was utterly gassed and had to sit down and catch his breath for a few minutes.

    • Tyson Black

      stfup

      • toki

        scary

    • toki

      Classic

  • uDie

Some ppl are just miserable and negative. Tbats life. DEAL WITH IT! LLS

    • uDie

      Thats+

  • Sigma ?

He sucked when he came back to the shows. Reality is he knew he sucked at MMA real bad and bailed out of it real fast after knowing how embarrassing he was. Perhaps the only saving grace he might probably have is acting in Guardians of the Galaxy but that ain’t gonna say much either.

  • Ethan

If all these fans who are always complaining about something are adults, then maybe they should stop watching WWE!!! Wrestling is fake and scripted anyway unless someone makes a mistake. Time to grow up and stop trying to live in the past. There are other things to do with your time than to complain about what you’re watching on t.v. Obviously the wresting that we see on t.v. is not for the more mature viewers anymore. Just about the only thing adult viewers can appreciate out of the WWE is the divas in their outfits.

  • raVen

it’s easy to separate reality from the show.
Dave is a douche bag and he plays a lesser douche on tv.

  • The One, The Only, The Ellis!

That’s the Internet Police, King Batista. Nearly all of the Internet Police looks like Rosie O Donald or Whoopi Goldberg, so they DEFINITELY won’t be posting their pics! RISE ABOVE HATE, INTERNET POLICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • essinodub

I agree with everything that he said. It’s almost getting to the point where some fans are ruining the show for me

  • Sophilly

Can’t wait for day u leave and don’t come bac

  • guest

LOL the same people backing his statement are the ones who were giving him stick not too long ago haha

  • Reese

    I’ve* I’m* Why* Can’t *
You’re a grown man Dave, so please use your big boy words.

    • Rhodes2WrestleMania

Twitter restricts your characters to only 140 so it’s very likely he did that to save space and get his entire thoughts into the tweet. Nitpicking much?

  • Michael Carter

I don’t think Batista gets it. He thinks the crowd rejects certain things because they can’t differentiate between a show and reality? Nope, no, no way, Bats.

People reject and cheer certain things/people because of REAL LIFE situations, politics, etc. Apparently Batista can’t take several years off and be placed right into the top spot in the company. He’s finding out he wasn’t over enough to come back to that spot after such a long lay off, at least not while new there are fairly new wrestlers doing amazing things and earning their spot.

Dave just doesn’t get it. Either that, or it’s just easier to say to yourself “these fans are just marks that can’t tell the difference between a tv show and real life.” Not the case, Dave.

    • G.I.R.L.

      Thank you.

  • Trey

Great point Devon. I’d like to add..Look at all of the great things the wwe universe does for their fans. Support the troops, make-a-wish, etc. How many Hollywood celebrities, that are worshipped by the masses, dedicate as much time? My kid’s love John Cena, & it breaks their hearts when fan’s chant “Cena sucks.” Message to those fans, next time you chant “Cena sucks” look at the child next to u so you can see how your negativity affects him/her. Last time I checked, Cena was tops in Make-a-Wish requests.

    • irv

I’m sorry but who gives a damn! I don’t care that your kids get so-oh-upset when they hear “Cena sucks,” get over it. Even more so teach them to get over it. News flash everyone has different likes, how about instead of perpetuating the idea that having a different view point is bad, teach them to be open minded. I don’t want to sound mean but it really gets under my skin. Dude cool Cena does a bunch of MAW stuff, that doesn’t mean I have to like him as a wrestler. Frankly I don’t know him as a person, therefore i can’t make a judgement on him personally. However, his character on screen I’ll stick to hating him because he annoys me. I don’t have to like a character because of the person playing them.

  • Fantasma Del Guapo

The second tweet’s hilarious, it’d be awesome if the BroMans would then retweet it and fave it to the moon.

  • BeastxxxxMode

    Hey Batista DEAL WITH IT!

  • Patrick

    His pink shirt is negative!

  • bonuslovethruster

he needs to return to his deacon days. deacon bautista was the most dangerous man.

  • Suke Mahpeen

Dave has Moobs now, you can milk Batista.
