Big Angles Discussed For Monday’s RAW, Interesting Statistic On WWE’s Young Viewers

- The Vince McMahon vs. Paul Heyman fight next week on RAW is likely going to be used as a setup for the Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania. It’s possible we’ll see run-ins from the WrestleMania opponents.

- If The Undertaker does commit to wrestle at WrestleMania, Monday’s RAW from Dallas, Texas is a logical opportunity for him to return. One scenario we’ve heard would be The Undertaker costing CM Punk his match with John Cena (and a shot at The Rock at WrestleMania), setting up the match between them.

- An interesting statistic about the age of WWE’s audience. Many people think that WWE’s current PG product means that a very large portion of their audience must be children. Currently, only 21% of WWE’s US audience is under the age of 18. Compare that to the Attitude Era, when that number was almost 40%. Back then, 4.5 million kids under 18 were watching WWE TV each week, compared to only 1.5 million now.

      Attitude Era had guys come out and demand a title shot or whatever by beating it out of their future opponent…
      Now, we have guys like the Miz and CM Bunk who whine and cry and throw hissy fits until they get what they want…
      I miss the old style wrestlers who actually can cut a promo (not many out there like The Rock, Cena, ‘Taker) in WWF/E. Most of TNA’s guys can cut a promo without the crap and that’s probably why I lean towards that show more.

    Linda’s failed campaigns era is over, PG era should be gone soon…The Rock has been bringing back some of the Attitude Era content. Refreshing.

    Cursing and blood doesn’t make WWE cool, good storyline writing and better acting is what does. The only thing I have against John Cena is his atrociously bad acting. I cringe every time I see angry face or his bad attempts at humor (and I don’t know if that’s him or the writers). Being a heel isn’t going to make Cena any better. Learning to cut a promo from the likes of Raven, Roddy Piper, Mick Foley, Arn, Flair those guys could cut promos, Cena just needs to find a better go to schtick than yelling and making potty jokes.

    Having the Undertaker ‘cost’ CM Punk the match? I’m not sure that’s the best way to go about doing this angle. I’m wondering if this will end up like every other Undertaker interruption, with the lights shutting out and you hear the gong. But, then what? Perhaps the lights are shut out and there’s no gong – they want us to think it’s The Shield who cost Punk the match. I can’t say I have a fool-proof plan of how this should run its course, I just don’t think it should be based off the nostalgia of an Undertaker return for no credible reason other than Punk needs an opponent so the WWE Title picture can move forward without him going into WM. I guess if anyone could sell me on a feud, it would be Punk.

      If Punk is about to win, yeah. Considering how he was put over against Rock, he’ll be taken as a serious opponent for Taker.
      And I don’t see the point in Shield costing Punk. Makes no sense if the plan is to set up a match between Taker and Punk

    Why don’t people finally understand that WWE for many years now has had many new sponsors that they didn’t have the opportunity to have before. It could had something to do with Linda’s campaign but the majority of the reason of the PG product being that way is because that WWE is trying to become a bigger company globally and financially I really miss the Attitude Era but people stop bitching about bringing that era back when it’s never going to return Use your common sense
