Well I see why WWE would put them on halfway through the show. It helps the main event as the crowd has time to build back the energy. I feel sorry for the matches in between as the crowd would probably be dead.

    • Randy James Crawford

not if Kharma returns to destroy The Bella Twins.

  • Jeremy-County Roberts

This match should be the pre show match rofl. Put miz and wade ON THE SHOW. Not the shitty pre show. No respect at all.

    • cenasucks

A lot of people look forward to Ryback/Henry more than the IC title match. Let’s see how it turns out…

      • Darth

As long as it’s not like that Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar match.

    • GMpunk

The miz is ass. Wade Barrett and Jericho should of got a match instead.

    • Chris Berg

Miz doesn’t deserve respect, he sucks…and he almost broke Punks neck a few months back…he shoud be glad he still somehow has a job…

      • Jeremy-County Roberts

I’m talking about respect for Wade, the guy with the title, the guy who 8 times out of 10 does not even get a TV entrance these days.

  • GMpunk

The description for Payback could be used for any pay-per-view. I’m not sure what’s special or “riveting” about it..

  • Mike Mc Grath-Bryan

Well, at least I can go to sleep early after the main event.

  • Nelson Carvalho

i have no doubt that the taker punk match is the one that will steal the show.shame that are rumours that the match will be around half of the should close the show.but vince loves their favourite wrestlers to end a show.

    • jccox01

You guys are really stupid at times, whenever CM Punk was the WWE champion you guys wanted the wwe title to go on last, now the main event is the wwe championship match. Undertaker’s matches were never on last and i have no problem with it. His match always goes on 3 or 4 before last which gives the fans time to catch their breath.

      • Nelson Carvalho

im not saying that the wwe championship match shouldnt go on last.but the build up between cena and rock for this years match doesnt compare to taker and punk and thats why i feel the taker punk match should go on last.oh and the reason why the wwe championship match is on last its because or either cena or rock are on it.

        • EMPunk

You’re all wrong. The reason Rock and Cena go on last on this or any PPV is because they’re the guys people PAID to see, and are the guys selling the PPV.
Punk, as great in the ring/mic/character, ain’t selling off PPVs like that because of his overall inability to connect beyond wrestling (not as a fault) and because the guys actually main eventing are tried and true mainstays.

          • Forceton Banfodder

Really it’s just that Vince doesn’t have the balls to try something new because he doesn’t want to lose a few dollars now to make new money later.

          • Nelson Carvalho

i think vince doesnt let punk go beyond his character.vince is too damn protective by having a barrier in front of his wrestlers.

      • Forceton Banfodder

You’re a little stupid. The title IS going on last, but when CM Punk was champion he rarely closed out the show unless he was up against Cena. That’s why people wanted Punk’s championship matches to main event. As WWE champion the WWE held a double standard with Punk by putting other matches over him. But if Cena and Rock are champions or not, they automatically main event.

The OC’s comment was little more than wishful thinking, but your comment was just retarded.

        • Kenneth Anderson Jr.

Still just because of the double standard doesn’t mean that you can have Taker v Punk last. And there is no double standard. Its WWE. man, and in the buisness which ever match has the most drawing power is usually last. Thats why Cena v Rock will be last. Punk and Taker simply do not have the drawing power of Rock and Cena and if they do ther reason why they are getting the middle match is so fans can rest for a moment afterwards.

          • Forceton Banfodder

I never advocated for Taker/Punk last. Read my comment, I said OC’s comment was little more than wishful thinking. You wrote that entire comment out for nothing.

  • Nelson Carvalho

for those that just bitch moan and complain about the segment of taker punk just change the channel, even some attitude era fans said it was tasteless.well youre the ones that are tasteless because the segment was what attitude is. and some people said that are not going to see the match bcause of what happened.pure stupidity from these people that doesnt know what is real and whats not.people cant enjoy watching wrestling without complaining.

    • Bushwald Sexyface

I agree about the bitching part because it can’t be changed. But they went the wrong direction in that feud. It was a major letdown to me. They did not have to involve Bearer in it at all to sell it.

      • Nelson Carvalho

tecnically its not taker or punk’s fault that bearer is’s wwe’s fault.

        • Bushwald Sexyface

Never said it was Taker or Punk’s fault. “They” refers to WWE.

          • Nelson Carvalho

  • jb16

how does antonio cesaro not have a match yet

    • Dickie

He’s still a first year competitor, not over. Keep complaining about it IWC fanboy. Barrett barely made the preshow.

  • RomBuster

So you have a guy that just came back from a career threatening injury facing off a guy who can’t pull of his finisher right if the guy ways more than 360 pounds. What can go wrong?

    • WCWPunk

Exactly. Ryback botched shell shocked with Paul Heyman. And he couldn’t get Tensai on his back to execute his move. I say he better consider an alternate finisher or he’s doomed.

  • jackhandy

The main world title between Rock/Cena will defffinetly be last, it’s for the The most esteemed title and that’s how it should. BUT with the amazing controversial build-up and the fact that majority of fans are invested in it, also involving the Streak, Taker/Punk should be the second last match, they’d be retarded not doing this. HHH/Lesnar should be on halfway into the show instead.

  • jdbrown

Taker vs. Punk in the middle is about right. Cena vs. Rock should go on last because its for the WWE Championship. HHH vs. Brock should also go on later because HHH is the boss, and Lesnar is a bigger star (mainly because of UFC) than either Punk or Taker right now. I know that is not a popular opinion because Punk is an internet wrestling community darling, but its the truth. Now I don’t agree with cutting their match time in order to have P Diddy perform. Even though I don’t like Punk and think he’s overrated, I still don’t think that’s a good business decision.

  • BrahmaBullRKO

Is anyone actually expecting Ryback vs Henry to be good? I mean, I’m excited for it because it’s a cool matchup IMO, but they’re both bulky and neither are very good in the ring.

I don’t mind Punk/Taker in the middle of the show. The only way it should close the show is if Punk was ending the Streak, and lol to that.

    • Bushwald Sexyface

It will only be good if Ryback is inducted into the Hall of Pain.

  • Bushwald Sexyface

I’d put Henry and Ryback before Taker and Punk and Hunter and Lesnar after Taker and Punk with Cena and Rock to close the show. Or flip the Taker/Punk and Lesnar/Hunter matches. I’d like to see 2 strong matches in a row close the show.

    • Forceton Banfodder

I’d put Taker/Punk on after Lesnar/HHH only because Lesnar and HHH’s last match was so fucking pathetic that I really don’t see them suddenly having some magical chemistry together if they haven’t been training together. And I don’t think that’s been happening considering Triple H has been so immersed in the day to day operations of the company.

      • Progress_Now

        I’d put Cena on the pre-show :)

  • Maddocks JohnGotti Tanrien

just hope Ryback v Henry isn’t gonna be another Lesner v Goldberg coz dat was totally awful.
