Dolph Ziggler Takes Dig At The Rock, Nikki Ends Losing Streak

– Dolph Ziggler took a passive aggressive shot at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson over The Great One’s limited schedule with WWE via Twitter.

A Twitter user wrote to the WWE Superstar this week, “Couldn’t decide which flexforce WWE figure to buy between your action figure and @therock ‘s.. chose the rock in the end!” Ziggler responded, “Typical, just make sure you only play with it 4-5 times a year….”

– After backing Team Teddy at WrestleMania XXVIII, Nikki Bella was put in a match against Beth Phoenix on Friday’s SmackDown while her sister Brie was given the night off. Kelly Kelly distracted The Glamazon at ringside, causing her to lose concentration. Nikki capitalized on the situation by hitting Phoenix with the Bella Buster for the pinfall victory. The victory ends her six match losing streak in televised singles bouts: she last won a singles match on the November 23, 2010 episode of NXT. It was also her first singles victory on either Raw, SmackDown or a pay-per-view event.

Following SmackDown, Nikki wrote on Twitter, “Johnny @GMSmackDown thought he could get a quick one on me but NOPE! Thanks to my girl @RealKellyKelly!” She added Saturday, “So I’m thinking…. #Nikki4DivasChampion.”

    The stars of today make themselves look stupid by making stupid remarks like that. Some of them need to brush up on their wrestling history and research who The Rock is/was to the wrestling industry. Because if they knew, then they would know exactly why Rock doesn’t have to be there every week.

    I like Ziggler as a performer, but he’s making himself look like a douche and a follower by getting in on all the Rock hate.

    I would love to see some of the “stars” of today try some of this shit with Lesnar, because Lesnar does his talking with his fists.

      i agree lesnar can bury someone with an F5 rock will verbally bury him and rock bottom his ass if he want’s but maybe rock is taking it easy promo wise guys on today’s stars , today’s roster , it’s like you know when your that good you really don’t have to go all out to prove anyone i think that’s the rock but lesnar he has major unfinished buisness in the wwe he has to shut people up , remember rock and brock are buddies , hell brock was the only mid card rookie to spent the night at rock’s house and weekend because it was rock’s daughter’s B-day bacc in 2002 i read this in brock’s book plus rock was teaching lesnar about the buisness giving him good advice , i guess rock saw lesnar as the guy to be a stone cold , hogan and rock but in his own way not ripping out guy’s materials or character’s like some other people

      I think you are taking this a little too seriously. Like the other guy said, Ziggler is a heel and is going to take shots at top stars to get noticed. You’ll do whatever you have to do in order to grab attention. Ziggler succeeded with his comments.

    Like others have said, wrestlers are going to take jabs at the Rock to get noticed. Go after the biggest guy in the locker room and you’ll get your attention. This isn’t going to make me dislike Ziggler whatsoever and whoever gets offended by his comment need to wake up. He’s a heel and will continue taking shots at other stars to get noticed.

      This seems a little strange to me. Ziggler was one of the guys that was very optimistic about Rock being in the main event of Mania, and suddenly he’s taking jabs at The Rock? I’d say he was trying to get a possible feud with him, which would be great but highly unlikely. Either that or, like you said, he’s simply trying to get attention. It’s sad when a guy with his level of talent has to reach out for attention.

         Exactly, he’s trying to get noticed. He’s doing what others should do and that’s take advantage of these big stars who’re returning to the company. I still understand some of these guys frustrations since it does seem WWE is putting more focus on them and Cena as oppose to others. Ziggler, Rhodes, Barrett and others need to start to be used more often and booked better. I just think these Rock fans are really taking these jabs to heart.

    Shoot or not, I would love to see a little feud between Ziggler and The Rock, plus of anyone in the roster right now who is solid in the ring, growing in character and could use the spotlight to shine against the Rock, plus help make both guys look good like he always does, it’s our boy Ziggler :D .  Creative make it happen!!

            2 Months & 3 PPVs is laughable considering how much work Ziggler put in, which is what makes his joke funny. Also, I like how you avoided the part about how Rock will indeed be handed the WWE title despite his lackluster amount of appearances, and the point I was trying to make was at least Cena works a full schedule as does Ziggler so saying that the Rock’s amount of appearances = 5 seconds is pretty accurate, compared to the amount of work put in by full time workers. Honestly, why does it matter if Cena loses cleanly or not =| The average WWE fan doesn’t really ponder on the fact if a Face loses cleanly or not, therefore it really has no effect on the product whats so ever other than that you’re bitter because he is who he is. I suppose in your world, your top draw jobs to everyone?     I like Ziggler. He’s a hell of a worker. But this whole backstage uprising stuff? Not going to help his career. He should focus on doing what he says, stealing the show. It’s not an “if” but “when” Ziggler reaches the top of the heap. And he can have a match with Rock and blow the house down.These young guys need to stay focused and stop worrying so much about other guys on the roster.
