Elimination Chamber PPV Synopsis & PPV Poster Featuring The Rock

Pay-per-view provider iNDEMAND has released their official synopsis and promotional poster for February’s WWE Elimination Chamber 2013 PPV. We’ve known that The Rock has been confirmed for the show – and from the looks of the poster, it looks like the People’s Champ will be participating in his first Elimination Chamber match.

On the Road to WrestleMania, the path to greatness travels through many formidable roadblocks. Watch as The Rock, John Cena, CM Punk, Ryback, Sheamus, and all your favorite WWE Superstars lay it all on the line at WWE Elimination Chamber, Sunday, February 17, at 8PM ET/5PM PT, live on pay-per-view.

          What other reason would he be at a elimination chamber. It’s a chamber match. Remember when HBK came back after his summerslam match and won the 1st ever in 2002? It’s possible he’ll be in it.

        No need to be a smartass. Posters is for promotional purposes, they can actually be incorrect. Match cards is also subject to change. Barack Obama was wearing a referee shirt on Capitol Punishments poster but we didn’t see him referee, did we?

        no, he’ll lose at royal rumble due to interference from the shield, this way the rock still looks strong, and punk stays the champ. then at elimination chamber punk will be eliminated before Rock gets in. this way punk and The Rock and Punk did NOT had a clean/legit match, and Punk gets his rematch at Wrestlemania so one of them (we all know who that is :( ) can win from the another clean for the first time since their feud.

        With the right opponent Sheamus can have a great match. He’s had some great matches with Ziggler, Sandow, and Bryan last year.

        But on the mic, he’s corny as hell, probably more corny than Cena (if that’s possible).

            How would it not work? If they’re from SD then I think they’d be an obvious choice to be in SD chamber match. RAW will be stacked with Punk, Ryback, Cena, Punk and possibly Rock. I think someone like Kane will be in to fill the last spot or knowing how WWE thinks maybe Big E to further his feud with Cena.

    The studios will be having a heart attack over the next couple of months with the amount of matches The Rock is set to compete in during the first half of 2013 alone.

    It will be really cool to see The Rock in a Chamber match. Hopefully the Road to WrestleMania won’t disappoint.

    let me ask you guys a question is rock competing for the wwe title at the Elimination Chamber or is he going to defend it since everyone saying he’s going to take the title of cm punk at the royal rumble or is rock going to fight for the number 1 contender spot to earn a title shot at WM 29 think of the possibility i think its the number 1 contender spot i think punk might go over at RR , knowing Rock he would lie down for a younger talent but cena , im juss guessing

    This may be an obvious observation to most of you, but it seems some people on this site didn’t notice it as they’re thinking all guys are going to be in the same match. There are TWO Elimination Chamber matches every year now. Big Show and Sheamus are already ruled out of the WWE championship equation, as they are Smackdown superstars, and most likely, one of them will be WHC going into the PPV. The three superstars at the top are competing for the WWE championship (with three added superstars) and the three featured at the bottom will compete for the WHC (I include Ryback in the WHC match only because of the rumors of him having a “Wrestlemania moment” with Big Show) I think Ryback will go back to being a “Smackdown superstar” (Whatever that means. Wade Barrett is supposed to be a “Smackdown superstar” but holds the minor championship for the RAW brand) after he loses to Punk for the third time and capture the WHC at Wrestlemania. Although I could be wrong about Ryback, I’m pretty sure everyone on the poster isn’t going to be in ONE Elimination Chamber match unless the plan is to unify the titles….. Which I personally think would be awesome, but not yet.

    They should replace big show with lesnar and have lesnar be one of the last two guys in the match. And than just before lesnar is about to win have a bell toll to distract him and the other guy wins. That way it can set up the taker vs. lesnar match at wrestlemania that has been building since that ufc 121, just a thought.

    It will be awesome to see Rock in his first elimination chamber match barring an injury between now and then.

    The more I look at it, the more I am drawn to the 2 guys with the most intensity in it: Rock and Ryback. Too bad Lesnar’s not on it.

    I also don’t want to forget that Rock could always be doing a singles match there as well.

      Thank you for not hating Ryback just because everyone else does, these people just anyone who get big that doesnt wrestle like daniel bryan or comes from the indies. Its like they forget this shit is scripted if you can work the crowd and do they moves safely then you’re fine by me.

        Eh, I don’t think Ryback is great in the ring. His intensity is though. He’s still very green in my opinion and can be a danger. But that doesn’t mean I dislike him. Just think he needs more time to develop, wrestling wise.

          i would say that too i just dont get why people go all out and bash him just because daniel bryan hasnt had as many WWE championship opportunities (and this is from a D-bryan fan) also want to point out tha cm punks reign as Champ is boring as hellllllll, but i think it’ll pick after rock returns.

          Rybacks intesity=A+ more superstars need to go 100% like him also ambrose and rollins have great intesity too

    I believe Ryback will win the RR and choose Big Show to face him for the WHC belt at WM. At WM, Big Show will probably knock him out. Then ZIGGLER will proceed to run down the long WM entrance way faster than Lil’ Naitch Charles Robinson at WM 24. Ryback will get up slowly and stumble from that Big Show punch. The briefcase will then be cashed in but not before Ryback gets hit in balls, and possibly in the stomach with the briefcase. He will then cash in, and follow it up with his finisher. Ryback shortest WHC in WM history. And then Ziggler with his cutesie whore AJ will make out Edge and Lita style while standing over Ryback.
    Scenario B: Ryback defeats Big Show and wins the WHC belt. Then Big E. Langston hops over the barricade and attacks Ryback. The rest is history.

    WWE title : This is how I’d book it, but it is also somewhat of a prediction as well. The Shield interferes with Punk/Rock attacking Rock. John Cena comes down to help and attacks Rock by accident costing him the match and setting up that WM rematch. CM Punk then claiming to have won over everybody and still not obtaining respect. That is when he will challenge the Undertaker, assuming that ending the streak will cement his legacy as BITW and will finally obtain respect. Undertaker wins one of his hardest challenges to date against an almost invincible CM Punk.

    After failing to win the RR John Cena slowly transforms into a more ruthless character. He then fails again at EC, and snaps at the PPV Bret Hart style. Keep in mind that Cena has had a bad year and it is constantly mentioned. Cena’s heel turn is anything but impossible, as WWE is now looking to become more edgy and is in desperate need to increase viewership. His heel turn is not instant, but gradual. It escalates throughout the road to WM, and culminate at WM itself after he loses to the Rock for a second straight year.. He then can deliver a non PG beat down on the Rock, and deliver a heel shoot on the fanbase.
    Scenario B: Match mimics Hogan/Rock II in that the match is less enthralling and shorter. The Shield can help Cena obtain the victory with Brad Maddox counting the pin. Cena then does a Hogan-esk heel shoot on the audience with the Shield by his side on the grandest stage of them all.

    Undertaker vacates the newly won title. WWE then creates an 8 man tournament on RAW with Punk and Cena in the finals. Cena booed , and Punk cheered heavily. Cena having an unusal hard time defeating Punk causes the Shield to run down to the ring and attack Punk. Cena mocks in heel fashion then hits the AA. The referee had been knocked down earlier, but then Brad Maddox in referee gear runs down to the ring and counts the pinfall victory for Cena. Cena is then hoisted up by the Shield as he holds the WWE title and mocks the entire audience. Fans will then throw trash in the ring and what not. From that point on CM Punk as a face once again struggles to reclaim the title from a heel John Cena.

    John can also enhance his look by growing out his hair like he did back in college and possibly grow out a full goatee. As we all know a phsyical change is icing on the cake so to speak. If you want to hear a decent example of a heel theme for John Cena. Go to the utube, and type in this in the search engine: John Cena Alternate *Heel* Rock Theme with Titantron It’s one of the best heelish themes for Cena I’ve stumbled upon on that site.

    One curious thing that no one has mentioned is that if these six guys are all in Elimination Chamber matches (the bottom three for the WH title, the top three for the WWE title) then who will win the Rumble??? Orton? Ziggler? Del Rio? Maybe a returning Austin even (although highly unlikely, it would be cool)

    My money is on Orton winning the Rumble and facing Sheamus at Wrestlemania.

    So at Mania I think the card should be:

    The Rock vs. CM Punk (surprise interference from Austin possibly)
    Orton vs. Sheamus
    Cena vs Undertaker
    Triple H vs Lesnar
    Ziggler vs Del Rio (Jericho makes a surprise return attacking Ziggler, picking up where they last left off with each other)
    Big Show vs Ryback
    and then whatever bullshit mid-card and Divas shit people want.
