Fans Hijack NXT Tapings With CM Punk Chants, Signs Confiscated

cm-punk

WWE fans voiced their displeasure with ’s departure at Thursday night’s NXT tapings from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

According to multiple reports, fans at the show have been chanting “CM Punk” all night. The staff at Full Sail University also confiscated multiple CM Punk signs prior to the show. As you can imagine, this got a ton of heat from the crowd.

At the beginning of the taping, the audience was asked to chant “NXT” – but the raucous crowd rejected the request and chanted for Punk instead.

It will be interesting to say the least when WWE tapes RAW from Punk’s home town of Chicago on March 3rd.

Live Report From A Fan Who Was At Thrusday’s NXT Tapings

  • Lemonz

This makes me happy. I really hope that the crowd just blasts CM Punk’s name like they’ve never done before during Monday Night Raw, especially when the Authority is out. Fans should feel free to voice their opinion, and show it. Confiscating signs, really? That’s not going to change anything. It’s our turn to be the voice of the voiceless.

    • Puppet H

      Punk left you and me!

      • Y2J

Just like Rock, Austin, Jericho, & your Royal Rumble winner Batista. What’s your point?

        • Puppet H

And most of them regret it! What’s your point?

          • Y2J

That even though those guys left when they came back they still get a HUGE reaction & the crowd still loves them. Punk might not regret it now, but down the road you never know.

          • Yofiel Malachi Yacov

He’s not leaving, he’s in his contract year and this is leverage. If he doesn’t get what he wants, he walks. I see him asking for less dates (house shows), some money, and more creative control for his character.

          • brad

Sadly this ain’t the 90’s, you don’t hardly get creative control over your character anymore. Unless your name is john cena or triple h.

          • Yofiel Malachi Yacov

Not total. This isn’t hogan and wcw/tna Just a little bit more than what he has right now

          • brad

I was also referencing the kliq, but yeah hogan ran things exactly how he wanted Austin too but Steve was awesome.

          • Matt Zardoz

            Or Dave Batista!

          • brad

Yeah I almost forgot but then again you could also add ol Dwayne. You know everyone can say what they want about ol dave but the truth is he don’t give a funk he is makin bank.

          • BrottenGuy

I still think it is kayfabe. Royal Rumble was ‘Friends of HHH Night’. I believe that that was to setup the feud, with Punk and Bryan. I don’t understand why he doesn’t want HHH, at Mania. To me, that could re one hell of a match…maybe even steal the show, honestly. Think what you want about Trips, but he IS/WAS a very CONSISTENT wrestler, much like Orton (again..say what you want about him. This fact cannot be denied). Levesque is a HUGE student of “the game” (pun somewhat intended). So, I believe that match could be amazing. And fit well, with a story, and CM not really losing any notoriety for that match. Triple H is a legend, I just don’t understand it. I know it isn’t EXACTLY what he hoped for, but it could still be HUGE! Even a co-main event. I DO think that Dolph should be filing in for Punk’s spots, instead of Sheamus!

          • Nickcswerve

I highly doubt the rock with his millions … And millions of dollars he has made as a big time actor regrets leaving

          • The Great One

The Great One doesn’t lose any sleep on his bed made of money not wrestling everyday. . .

          • Nickcswerve

            As he shouldn’t

          • Bryan Brennan

Rock and Batista left to fulfill other goals, after they were on top of wwe for years. Punk left because he’s scratched and clawed to the main event and three months before wrestlemania 30, he’s told that the royal rumble win and wm 30 main event match he was promised was taken away from him and handed to Batista, who hasn’t wrestled in 4 years…I’d be pissed too.

          • Shahjahan

The Rock left to accomplish other goals. Austin left because he couldn’t wrestle anymore due to spine injury.

But Batista, he left to become an MMA fighter and he really failed at that and then he comes back and wins the rumble? That just the most stupidest thing ever!

WE ARE THE VOICE OF THE VOICELESS FOR CM PUNK!!!

          • BrottenGuy

Actually, Batista left to do movies and the things that (mostly) the Rock & Austin did. Shy of Man With the Iron Fists, it didn’t/hasn’t work/ed out for ol’ Dave Bautista. MMA was an afterthought, and a new venture after his movie “career” didn’t really fully come to fruition. You are correct, on Austin. BROCK left, for an MMA career (football first, but MMA was a big part of it)….but, not Dave Bautista

          • C-note

actually yeah he did leave or an MMA career there is a video of his one and only fight nearly losing to a guy who was overweight and not in as good of shape as him

          • Josh Knepshield

actually he left to do movies. The MMA was A SIDE THING he wanted to accomplish.

          • C-note

ah cool, that was the first thing I noticed him doing post wrestling, what was his first movie release?

          • Josh Knepshield

Man With the Iron Fists. Pretty big movie actually. Get out much?

          • windyhillgal

Not that big of a movie. Not at all.

          • Josh Knepshield

It was a fairly decent sized project. Remember seeing a lot of commercials for it on TV.

          • C-note

Yeah I do and according to research the movie was a bust. ;:/ must not have been that big.

          • Josh Knepshield

Way to take 2 months to respond…lol. I don’t even remember you. Any movie with Russell Crowe in it can’t be looked at as a small project. And it was not a bust. It made more money than it cost to make, therefore it made a profit. I’ll wait another 2 months for an answer, and please don’t say its because “you have a life” because we both know that it not the case.

          • C-note

I don’t have to say it the guy who stays addicted to goofy age old forums does it for me :P

          • Ishtiaque Khan

Yes, once I heard Batista could win the rumble, I totally lost interest in the event. It really is unfair for people who’ve been working hard over the last couple of years to get side tracked to let Batista win. There are at least 10 more wrestlers who deserved the win more than he did.

          • Shahjahan

One guy that should of won it at least who participated in the rumble was roman rains. Everybody was waiting him to win it. I think the wwe kisses batista’s arse way too much! Well anyways, Vince is in talks with CM Punk to get things sorted out and make him come back too wwe

          • CHRIS GIBBS @ 40

Thing is all of these part timers keep on reappearing even the deadman will some how pick a fight with someone whos form is red hot and still win untill he is 50 and 0 ,
but we are not daft and as batista as shown you can pour glitter on it but you can’t polish a turd.

          • Yofiel Malachi Yacov

Rock left and didn’t come back for 7 yrs was because of the WWE…not because of him allegedly. Allegedly, WWE tried to get mad at the rock for using, the rock as his trademark, so that’s why during that whole period, He just wanted to be called dwyane johnson. It probably wasn’t until he returned that they mended their business relationship

          • brad

The rock sure didn’t and Jericho seems happy just appearing sporadically. However I’m sure that Austin misses it but he didn’t really have to much of a choice.

          • QuiteFrankly2k

You’re kidding right? Rock is easily one of Hollywoods biggest stars. Batista has a huge movie coming out soon! Jericho is perfectly happy with life! Austin left and is practically one of the only guys left who knows what this business needs (rare sight) none of them are regretting their decisions. Its no secret Batista returned for the money. The guy hates PG.

          • Cheyicasy

Austin Only Regrets The Way he Left But Does not Regret Walking Out Jericho Loves His Freedom As He States Many Times And Batista Is All Bout The Money And Meeting The Females so Yea

    • Himanshu Gaur

confiscating signs? this just shows that wwe is trolling the fans and punk will surely return in time for wm…not sold on supposed match with hhh though.

      • Mr Attitude

Holy crap. This is why I love the IWC. Together, let’s bury the entire roster during live shows.

        • The voice

I disagree it’s not the rosters fault with what’s happening. Only when the authority is out should everyone voice be heard.

    • venom

People really let 1 person ruin their love for wrestling because the actor wanted to walk out on the script. So wwe is just supposed to say ok punk we’ll give you everything you want. No! Because when they do you will eventually get tired of it..I.e Cena and turn on him too. Punk and Bryan have long amazing careers ahead of them . They are employees and they will have their time but as an entertainer it’s up to them to provide the product we pay for like it or not.

    • mika009

As long as you pay them your money to see their show I doubt they really care what you chant. Everyone chants, Jerry Lawler makes a dumb joke, show goes on. Keep chanting, keep making signs as long as people keep buying tickets and buying merchandise I doubt they really care, and why should they? When the money stops coming in then things will change.

      • brad

Of course they don’t care and I don’t think they have to worry to much about the money coming in.

      • BrottenGuy

Exactly! I have been telling people the only way to get them to change there product, would be if everyone (at least a heavy majority) of individuals completely boycotted the WWE. Hell, even if you don’t like it, just tune into TNA to make their ratings higher. Just turn it on and don’t watch it…just for the ratings, WWE needs that competition again, in order yo get better. Ever since they bought WCW, they have been declining. It is NOW really coming to a head. Know what I mean? WWE got BETTER bc they were losing the Monday Night Wars. No, with a virtual monopoly, on “Big Time” Wrestling, they can do whatever they want

    • brad

Yeah I can’t wait for raw in Chicago.

    • Steve Williams

You think WWE cares? they will care only when you boycott their mediocre garbage products

      • Matt Zardoz

Amen. You really want to send a statement? Boycott their goofball WWE network.

    • satishwarne708

The comments here are epic and you just beat pawnz by 100+ likes.Chicago! CM PUNK YES YES YES CM PUNK YES YES YES CM….

    • If this is real

Sure, let’s disrespect an entire roster of people who have stayed despite not having opportunities, despite being screwed. No, instead let’s cheer for a guy who gets angry when you ask for his autograph. Cheer for the guy that bitches and moans instead of doing something.

    • maddaz

wow a think you have the most likes on a sescoops comment well deserved lol

    • Stephen

I’m sorry, but I am not mad at WWE right now. Punk had the longest reign in 25 years, had the honor of facing The Undertaker at ‘Mania and has been prominently featured on TV every week. Not everybody gets to be champion. You go to work and do what your told, and hope it pays off in the end.

  • JA

        • bambam

          Excellent Sub Zero!!

  • Shiro

This really makes me not want to watch this product anymore.. I may just not. If I were to attend an event and had a CM Punk sign or any other wrestling sign confiscated that wouldn’t be offensive, I’d go forth with trying to get a refund. This is atrocious.

    • lunchbox87

Like them moving fans who boo Cena, and taking away cena suck signs. Asking fans who dress as legends to stop because they get more attention than the show.

  • AngelFlow

I’m loving this. The fans need to continue doing this until WWE listen.

  • lunchbox87

Just like wwe, just hide things they dislike. I love the fans calling their crap, keep it up guys they can’t silence everyone.

    • BasedWorld

Yep while they keep wasting their money just to be silenced.

  • Codebreaker

Are they gonna blacklist him like they did Benoit?

    • Summer Rae Dudley

      No

    • lazarus87

Why would they punk didn’t kill anyone

      • BasedWorld

        It doesn’t mean they can’t

  • Summer Rae Dudley

I kind of find it disheartening for fans to do this in a small venue like in a NXT show (Unless its towards CJ Parker), but I guess I should give them credit were its due cause I can’t do that without feeling like an a**hole but then again it is also fu*ked up to be taking signs like that.

    • Paul Hernandez

      I agree 100%.

  • CONSUELA

the revolution continues! finally the wwe universe sees the bs that the wwe is putting us thru, wwe is in for hell come chicago!

  • Paul Hernandez

NXT with the up and comers? LEt’s put down new talent for the cause of WWE not putting over new talent. Makes sense. Save it for Raw.

  • QuiteFrankly2k

CM PUNK! YES! CM PUNK! YES! CM PUNK! YES! CM PUNK! YES! :P

    • DirtydaN86

” DAN-IEL BRYAN, CM PUNK” “DAN-IEL BRYAN, CM PUNK” “DAN-IEL BRYAN, CM PUNK”

      • http://gold010.deviantart.com/ Gold010

People on Raw should NOT forget about Bryan. There should be a chant war between “Daniel Bryan” and “CM Punk”. That would be muthafuckin’ epic!!!!

        • DirtydaN86

          my thoughts exactly!

  • Buzzard Follower

let them hear it. it wont bring him back but it will give wwe a ton of $#!+

  • A Realist

Oh, good. So now the fans will be chanting CM Punk instead of chanting for Daniel Bryan as they should be…

Thought, I will say, we are in a weird period of WWE. It’s been sudden, and it’s been loud. They are sick of the same old, and it might finally be what was needed. It was needed a long time ago, but too many people grew complacent.

    • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

Good point on the chants… Especially if HHH is supposed to be feuding with Bryan now… But I think once they establish who is feuding with whom (and they should do that quick), the crowd will catch on. They love both Punk and Bryan… But yeah, Punk chants are gonna hit them hard… Especially in Chicago… They better have a f’in plan.

      • SOBI

Forget about Chicago think of the WrestleMania European crowd
they are gonna tear the stadium down with their chants

        • superturbo

True, most European crowds are generally louder, no amount of fancy sound engineering on WWE’s behalf will entirely cut out their chanting!

        • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

Yeah… Like I said, I think it would be wise for WWE to have a plan. Either get Punk back asap, or figure out a way to turn him ‘heel’ through a babyface… That’s kinda what they did with Austin – had Rocky come in and talk down to him… Kinda made people cheer for Rocky.

I don’t know if/how that would work in this capacity…

    • Guest

Such a foolish statement. They’ll definitely be chanting for Bryan as well. You can bet your ass I’ll be cheering for both when I see Raw on Monday.

      • A Realist

Foolish? Is it really *foolish*? Misguided, perhaps. Misinformed, even. Mistaken, possible. But foolish? No. You put it past the masses to not do it? What a naive way of thinking.

        • Guest

Did I ever say I counted the crowd out? No, I didn’t. I just got done saying they would cheer regardless, and then iterated that I would be a part of it. Now you really are being foolish.

          • A Realist

Hey guys, a faceless no one called me foolish. H-h-how should I handle this?

What I’m saying, faceless one–is that people will be focusing their energy on Punk’s being gone to spite WWE (as evidenced here, in the article, at the NXT tapings), and the WWE will use any excuse they can to discredit Bryan. “Oh, see? They attach themselves to the flavor of the week”. Bryan’s out, Punk’s in.

Now, just because you’re too dense to understand and pick up on what I’m saying doesn’t make it foolish. Looks like 28 other people got me.

          • angry foodie

I think you are probably wrong (Bryan is still gonna get huge pops when he comes out, might be one of the only guys who doesn’t get “CM Punk” treatment), but I agree with the rebuttal.

Foolish is hardly something I can describe someone’s (plausible) opinion about what is going to happen Monday.

We do have to keep in mind though that the NXT fans are both smarky and spoiled. Lots of great wrestling happens there…

  • JC

If this is bad just imagine if RAW comes to Chicago in the next month or so…

    • omega riddler

March 3rd is going to be interesting

      • JC

Wish it was a little earlier, but I still expect a riot to break

    • Summer Rae Dudley

Isn’t it going to be taped?

  • CSSA

CM Punk doing this to be over again. We didn’t leave Punk, Punk left us.

  • Dzon

    Batista…Batista…Batista !!!

  • chris

TNA working a deal to try to sign him he use to wrestle in tna years back

    • mike

Your right look at YouTube its say it all

    • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

TNA has no chance. Unless Punk is so absolutely pissed at them to act out in that manner. But this is likely more a case of him being fed up, so he left. The guy is WWE to the bone. He will be back. He’s not gonna go to TNA.

      • aftynMarieAftyn

He won’t go to TNA because he left TNA years ago because TNA wanted him to quit ROH and he wouldn’t. If anything, ROH should get him and have a match with him and AJ Styles and Jay Lethal!!!

        • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

He’s not going anywhere. Dude is WWE. If he’s not in WWE he just won’t wrestle. He needs a break.

    • alberto

What is MC Grunge doing in the Impact Zone?!

  • Jeff

WWE shouldn’t be allowed to confiscate fans signs. That is just unconstitutional. Fans have the right to freedom of speech.

    • mika009

It’s their company, their tv show, during the time they pay for it it’s their building. They can choose to show or not show whatever they want.

  • shane Longino

if and keep checking the shows with yes yes yes chants, cm punk chants, we may very well get our main event for wrestlemania.

  • rashad jackson

omg raw in chi-town march 3rd u know they are going to chant cm punk all through raw!! along with DB

  • venom

Let’s just cater to every whiny employee that quits their job. Don’t forget he left us we didn’t leave him.

    • alberto

What does that even mean? “He left us we didn’t leave him” this issue between Punk and the WWE has nothing to do with us, he just did what we all are afraid to do and quit the company that likes to torture his fans and employees.

  • Ignacio

CM Punk got what he gave to Jeff Hardy, a few years ago. Pressure& impossible to win back the championship! And has to leave!

  • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

Kinda awesome. Can’t wait to see how they handle this stuff on RAW.

  • Buzzard Follower

    the master plan is revealed

  • angel

I think punk should be at the chamber. He deserves it more then any body

    • Guest

He’s too beat up. That’s part of the reason he’s taking this little sabbatical in the first place.

  • Ayatollah of rock N rolla

I wonder if HHH has any tricks up his sleeve to speak over the crowd

  • Frank

Were can I watch this nxt episode

  • Ares

Keep it going “WWE Universe”. The WWE needs to hear this. Keep booing Batista (even though I like the guy and it really isn’t his fault) and keep the YES MOVEMENT alive!!

    • Y2J

I agree, I do feel kinda bad for Batista in a way. I like him, it’s just he’s in the wrong position at the wrong time.

      • Ares

Agreed. I believe that it was “best for business” to bring him back. I don’t think it’s BFB (best for business lol) to use him the way they did. The WWE needs to understand this.

      • Lolerz

I still think its partly Batista’s fault , just remember Y2J’s return to the royal rumble 2 times and his matches . If he wanted to put over another wrestler I think they would’ve listened to him , just like they listen to Jericho .

    • FilipinoBroskie

Booing Batista is pointless. He is going to main event Wrestlemania either way, whether you like it or not. If you don’t like it, then don’t watch.

      • Ares

This is something that I legitimately have loved since I was 4 years old. My last resort is to stop watching. I disagree 100% with your statement. If you want something to change, you must take action. Action would involve booing the man or to stop watching altogether.

Booing the man is NOT pointless. It is outright embarassing for the company, and its part of the reason there is panic backstage at the moment (including CM Punk leaving).

Doing nothing is the only think that is truly pointless.

        • angry foodie

Actually dude, walking out as an Orton-Batista main event starts, so long as it was en masse, would be the ultimate insult to the match.

      • brad

I’ll definitely be watching. In my opinion it’s better him than anyone else. Batista coming back actually makes wrestling interesting again because honestly it has been pretty dam stale since Dwayne Johnson left, so it’s time for a change.

    • FilipinoBroskie

Don’t give him flack for winning the Royal Rumble. He didn’t book it.
WWE did! The Universe wanted Batista back but they sure didn’t want him
to win the Rumble this early. WWE put him in a hole that he may not be
able to dig himself out of. Don’t hate on him. What the hell was he
supposed to do? Turn it down? Yeah right! So don’t hate Batista for a
      situation that HE didn’t create.

      • Ares

Did you even read my original post bruh? Lol I advise you read it again.

        • FilipinoBroskie

What original post? your obviously saying boo Batista for being in the Main event? he was main eventing before Bryan & Punk were even in the WWE. Bryan has PLENTY of time to main event.

          • angry foodie

You gotta take your dissatisfaction with the product out on someone. He feels for Batista because though he does not deserve it, he is the logical target of the dissatisfaction.

At the Rumble, Del Rio should have eliminated Batista. The idea of having them feud was good and Batista was sure to go over, but why make Del Rio look so weak the way they have done over the last 2 weeks?

Myself, I stopped watching wrestling because of guys like Batista, Orton, and Cena. Especially Batista actually. I feel the fans have always been too hard on Cena and Orton is a decent wrestler all in all.

Batista started out a lot like Rob Terry, if you ask me.

      • brad

I agree with you a hundred percent but honestly I don’t think dave really cares what the fans think they pay him good so he will do whatever he has too no matter what the fans think and in this case it just so happens that they want him on top which doesn’t bother me a bit cause he is one of my all time favorites.

  • Trevor

What’s he gonna do go fail at something like movie star, tna, or UFC then come back when he’s old

  • The_Sith_Element

#wwehostiletakeover is picking up steam. It’s bigger than just Bryan being held down. This is the time for fans to be vocal about everything WWE does that is annoying.

  • Jesse

I hope that Omaha can keep the CM Punk energy alive on Monday night

    • thewarrior2032

I wish I would be at the Omaha taping of Raw but I won’t, but I have faith in my hometown faithful that they will keep the YES movement and the CM Punk chants going

  • dnice726

It doesn’t really matter what they chant or what their signs say. The bottom line is they are still in attendance and Vince is still raking in green backs. If fans are passed the best thing to do is not buy tickets and not watch on TV. But everyone knows that ain’t gonna happen. Most importantly Vince knows that ain’t gonna happen.

  • heterosexual

march 3 is still a fair way off

  • Thomas A Marcoux Sr.

So what now is vince gonna be pissed about that too!!!
He has a company that he doesnt know how to run .
The whole thing is if they where to listen to the people that made them filthy rich theyd be much better off with them selves and others shame on them and thats why the company if nothing changes will someday fold and thats such a shame since i grew up watching the show it went from wwwf to wwf to wwe and now just like another post said its like the end times fromm wcw where wwe is heading shame on them i would turn it around as one of the fans but im only seen as part of thier payday if they cared about us theyd take advice from fans instead they disregard us and use a bad judgement team called creative the only thing theyve created was a big mess if wwe could listen to me and the other fans from fannation theyde see what we want not what vince mcmahon wants and the show would once again be worth watching…..

    • bri

“He has a company that he doesn’t know how to run” yeah a company that makes millions of dollars (prime time players chant) every year and is doing gang busters on the stock market while everything else is down…

  • Kurtz5

I actually hope Punk shows up to Raw as a fan on March 3rd in Chicago and the crowd goes crazy the whole night

  • SkeletorIsMyHero

A honest man gives two weeks notice before he leaves a company, I guess we found out what kid man CM Punk is.

You can’t think on those terms. WWE is a company that cares so much about it’s stars they don’t offer health insurance or make sure they are OK for retirement. They just watch as guys continue to die. I hope someone sues like the NFL. YOU asked me to bust my ass and give my all for what? To part time guys like Batista and Lesnar quit then get handed spots. While Kofi Dolph and others keep getting their dreams trampled on.

      • Noah

Batista is back full time not part time.People need to read Batista signed a 2 year contract.

    • bri

you weren’t in the meeting with him and management. you don’t know if he quit or was sent home. No one has to give two weeks notice to a company that doesn’t care about it’s emplyees.

  • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

I’m happy fans are being more vocal. It’s kind of like WWE always being in control, and the fans have finally caught on to the fact that they have the power.

  • ricardo

    I love NXT

  • NXTAmbrose

CM Punk is the punk rock of professional wrestling. And the last of what is really good. Instead of being WWE’s puppet boy as in John Cena,… Punk himself absolutely pissed Batista won Royal Rumble as he said people in the locker room who’s been bustin’ their *ss all year long deserve a World title shot at Wrestlemania, as in Daniel Bryan. But someone who’s been away for four years, comes back and has everything handed to him on a silver platter. This reminds me during the summer of 2011 where Verizon employee’s went on strike and the company finally compromised. This is clearly CM Punk sending a message loud and clear to the machine, the system known as the WWE. Remember when Bret Hart was getting ready to leave WWF for WCW and the whole ‘Survivor Series screwjob’ at Montreal all happened? Well CM Punk one of the very last of what’s real in the business.

    • bri

dang, did you have to soak your fingers after typing all that?

      • NXTAmbrose

My GALAXY Note 3 is amazing isn’t it. Who said I typed. I used voice to text ;)

  • Matt Gallagher

This is either real or the greatest work in wrestling history

  • Nickcswerve

Hopefully the chants carry over to raw as loud as possible

  • Guest

the next raw everyone should just chant “DAN-IEL BRYAN, CM PUNK” throughout the whole show.

  • Louis Salera

Lets make WWE miserable until changes are made. We can do this. Let your voice be heard.

  • Jed

I was there and had my sign taken, I lead most chants and had to talk to producers. Let me know if u want a first hand account.

  • Kurtz5

If punk really left then why is his face still the one on Raw when you open up the WWE app?

  • Austin

This has to be a work, confiscating signs just shows they’re purposely trying to piss off the IWC. I feel like the WWE is trying to pull one over us, and if they do they’re going to leave a lot of us scratching our heads. This feels like it’s going to culminate with a “revolution”, probably WWE trying to outdo the original masterpiece that was the summer of Punk. If they do this, I’ll give full props to the WWE. Who am I kidding, Punks gone. I’m sad.

    • NXTAmbrose

I doubt this is a work. To have one of the hottest talent not work Wrestlemania. That’s Vince’s bigoff blockbuster event. Plus no way this is the summer of punk, winter isn’t even over yet. >.<

  • Dixie Carter

Some more information FACTUAL, that WWE is going into the toilet and this WM much like the last several are going to be a BOREFEST

  • Dangelo Barksdale

Please throw garbage like the old NWO days. Chicago might truly become a riot

    • Mike

Nobody riots over this staged shiit….

  • Dexys

I swear to god, if WWE doesn’t mention CM punk to be one of the longest reigning WWE champion, i’ll be very upset. I hope they don’t try to make us forget him like the numerous things they have tried to make us forget.

UH OH If They’re This Rowdy At NXT Imagine The Crowd At Raw

  • Kjhaltz

March 3rd might turn out epic. Even though they might heavily censor it.

  • Jason Chanze

    I miss clobberin’ time. :(

  • Heel Cena

The new Monday night Raw chant will be “DANIEL BRYAN!! CM PUNK”!!

  • tobacco#1

i will never forget what vince told rvd, when he was looking like he was in line for a title run due to crowd reaction, “i tell the fans what they want “well vince we the fans build the industry , even though you think u get away with force feeding us cena

  • angry foodie

IF…this is a work, the best way to handle it would be to do nothing until March 3 in Chicago. Yet establish a view that Batista is not liked in the back. Give him lots of heat from other wrestlers.

THEN…in Chicago, March 3, bring Punk out through the crowd. Then slowly bring a few other guys. Then have guys slowly come out of the back. Bring out midcard faces AND heels. Have them corner Batista, let him try to fight, and then proceed to give Batista a crippling beatdown.

Then kayfabe Batista suffering severe brain damage leading to him never being able to wrestle again. And let’s pretend he never came back.

THEN…find a way to put Punk and Bryan in the main event and be done with it. Why they hedge their bets on Batista when he never got pops and reactions like Bryan is getting today I’ll never know. It’s like being irrational is a part of business nowadays.

  • Yofiel Malachi Yacov

What did the fans accomplish? This is taped. They will sweeten the sound and this episode all you will hear is NXT NXT at the beginning.

  • https://twitter.com/StrangeDeranged Pozessed

It sucks that WWE can just confiscate signs and crap these days though just for shouting out a wrestler’s name.

    • superturbo

      Tell me about it! (*strugs*).

  • jd316

Wwe is turning into wcw the old guy’s get the push they need punk ,Bryan , Roman reigns all the young guys. The fans see it . The click is done…

  • joe

Does anybody have this on video??

  • Lukey Razz

conspiracy time – cm punk is going to unleash another ‘summer of…’ pipe bomb come March 3rd and set up a match with HHH at mania, or throw his hat into the ring for a triple threat title match against batista and orton – citing kane stopping him winning the rumble. he then fights kane on raw the following week for his entry into the match. HHH comes to the ring with kane on top to gloat in punks demise, only to cause the distraction, punk gts, pins kane and kane flips out, turning on HHH bringing team hell no together for a hhh/shawn michaels vs team hell no battle at wrestlemania… boom!

  • HollywoodJD

I think in this particular case fans should be careful because we do not know for sure if punk leaving is a work for the dirtsheets and will be shifted to live tv on raw as well and its all just a story. Sure the bryan hijacking thing makes sense and for good reason but lets wait and see what happens with cm punk first before we overreact on that. I am a cm punk and bryan fan by the way.

  • Buzzard Follower

    true story

  • Jon Fite

    Seriously, these guys were douches.

“Okay, so I just got home from the NXT tapings. I didn’t see the sign
mentioned in the article, but the first sign I saw get pulled said ‘PUNK
WAS RIGHT.’ The dude knew the sign was about to get pulled and handed
it to a FS person when they walked up. The fan then called the usher
back and extended his hand as if to say ‘I’m not holding it against you
personally, I’m doing this to protest WWE,’ but then pulled it back when
the other dude reached out. This was probably one of the top 3
douchiest things I’ve ever seen at a wrestling show. The next sign
pulled was a chart of a downward sloping line graph that read RATINGS
    WITHOUT CM PUNK on it.

As far as the show being ‘hijacked,’ the
chants were never sustained long enough to actually affect anything. JBL
came out to cut a promo about the upcoming WWEN PPV, NXT Arrival, and
just rolled right through the chants and they died in about 15 seconds.
The crowd mostly chanted at points when the cameras were not rolling
    anyways.

These were also the same people who catcalled whenever
Brandi Rhodes would crouch under the middle rope to enter the ring, and
would then loudly say ‘THANK YOU’ after in such a way that made me feel
really bad for having common interests with those people.

    Lastly,
I’m convinced that if someone wears that Macho Man shirt to a show and
sits close to the ring, they are inevitably going to attempt to get
    themselves over.”

  • Matt Ramsden

CM Punk was great, great performer and great on the mike always gave 100%. What I think people are forgetting it no matter what he was just another cog in the machine. Rock, Hogan, Austin, Hbk, Hart all of them were above Punk (some way more) and they were replaced. If WWE can survive without the Rock, Stone Cold and Triple H being part of the active roster then they will surely survive without Punk.

  • Alexander Bartlett

People are forgetting that not only did punk leave WWE, he left you and me. By walking out , he walked out on his fans so why are people chanting his name as if he’s sim sort of martyr

  • Aaron Walsh

People should do the same thing as when Fandangoing was a thing and just have massive “CM Punk” chants in the most irrelevant places…buses..trains…stores…stadiums…UFC and boxing events…be the best

  • Zakary Shupe

I feel proud to be a full sail student!

  • straight_edge

WWE UNIVERSE UNITE !!! if your going to a live show just chant cm punks name until they being him back. FIGHT THE POWER !!!!

    • BasedWorld

Yeah keep spending your money chanting not caring about the show while wanting somebody that left on his own and wasn’t fired.

      • straight_edge

He left for a very good reason and if you chant his name your agreeing for the reason that he left. and if your a hardcore wwe fan arent you tired of part time wrestlers ?

  • Daniel Jardine

WWE needs to change its ways, they’ve lost punk, soon there gonna lose there own fan base because of the bad moves they make in story telling. Not good for business nor the company’s direction.

  • EilsL

I get why people are doing it and they should be free to do so on Raw and Smackdown, but NXT is taped well in advance so it could be that the signs were taken because, by the time it airs, the whole Punk situation could be resolved?

  • Chuck Utter

Cant wait for raw on Monday CM Punk was one of two fan favorites that I liked HHH is destroying thee WWE

  • Jj Vaness

Camacho for WWE World Heavyweight Champion!

  • Ted Burger

Love Punk or hate him Everyman should respect any other man who is willing to put his balls on the line and live by the principles he believes in. 99 percent of you sheep would bend over for the cash instead of living by your principles. And before ya all answer think hard bout what I just said look at your own lives and how you live before you reply.

    • Jj Vaness

I bet you would to if they were paying you multi-million dollars a show to “entertain” for 10-15 minutes. The job is tough, no one is saying it isn’t, but thats why it’s called Work and not Fun. Punk, and every other WWE talent, are lucky to be in the WWE. They pay well and people (i dont know your situation Ted) have families to feed, mortgages to pay, and obligations to uphold. I’m not saying Punk leaving is wrong. I’m saying that you calling 99% of people Sheep because they have obligations is an absurd comment. Get your head out of your ass.

      • tobi

no but if you hate your job and won the lotto would you keep your job no punk has said many time he has save enough money he doesnt need to wrestle

      • Ted Burger

obviously you didn’t think very hard before you replied. Punk just did quit for principles regardless of the money so some of us very few people DO actually live by what we say. Kinda the original point to begin with fool. Get your head out your own fccckn arse and some education might help too!

  • Knupmc

CM Punk and DB are my 2 favorite wrestlers and I’d do the same thing if I was in punks position. To work your tail off like he did and get thrown to the side is crazy for these entertainers. Yes I know Rock $ Batista use to be wrestlers, but that’s not what they are anymore, they are entertainers. WWE needs to figure out if they want to be wrestlers entertaining the fans, or entertainers trying to wrestle. These entertainers aren’t the draw they use to be regardless of what the higher ups think. They can’t rely on these entertainers to put on 5 star matches. WWE has guys in the locker room to be stars. They can’t afford to screw up the product right now and that’s why they need to push wrestlers like DB, Punk, Shield, Wyatt’s, Dolph and make them stars like the did with HBK, Austin, HHH, Undertaker. They weren’t well known household names when they came in. The need to create inside of recreate like they with the current product.

  • tobi

i think this is the most comment by far nxt ever got lol

  • Bryan

WWE have done a lot of crap in the last couple of years and I turned a blind eye and said hey give them a break they’re trying but when Batista won Royal Rumble WWE hit a new low for me as never have I questioned why I was a WWE fan that night as Daniel Bryan was over with the crowd and WWE ignored it and it made me physically ill and I understand completely why CM Punk left as I would too as I was fine with The Rock winning the Championship last year as he had been back part time with WWE for 2 years and lets face it their wasn’t many people who could have been in the main event other than The Rock vs Cena as Bryan was doing his program with The Shield so was Sheamus and Punk was doing his program with Undertaker but Batista was back a week and he won Royal Rumble when Daniel Bryan was at the peak of his popularity and that just made me ill and I hope WWE never pulls crap like that ever again.

  • raVen

two sided chants ALL night long until after mania.
    CM PUNK
    DANIEL BRYAN
    CM PUNK
    DANIEL BRYAN

  • myron585

Cm punk is a tough guy and I really think he could take a punch. I know he is 35 I think he could make a ufc run

  • captaindaddy72

Why are fans mad at wwe when punk walked out? Its not like they forced punk out. Hell punk walked out before his contract was up which is really not that cool

  • JaffaJoose

I don’t quite understand this reaction. From everything we’re hearing, Punk wasn’t fired, he quit. So what do we expect WWE to do about it?

  • CHRIS GIBBS @ 40

Got a feeling that they won’t show. HHH is a fanny whos ego just carnt stand the thought of CMPunk as he is better than him in every department and he knows that Stephanie would think the same.

  • satishwarne708

Please WWE don’t go to Chicago they will riot you out the building but would an amazing sight.

  • ChosenOne704

WTF? Why are they chanting for Punk when he was the one that left?

    • Michael

He left because of the direction the company is going. Part timers getting the main event. The fans understand and agree with that which is why batista is getting booed out of the building.

      • ChosenOne704

From what I’ve heard CM Punk just didn’t want to go to Wrestlemania to face Triple H.

  • Alvin

    They need to do,
    Cm Punk vs Daniel Bryan
    Undertaker vs cena
    Batista vs Brock Lesanar
    Shield vs wyatt family
    Orton vs someone… lol
    for WM30 !!!!!!!!!

  • esolano2

    Gh

  • esolano2

Fans should chant Punks name only during Batista, and Authority segments. It’s unfair to do it during a match because we’re not allowing the wrestlers to prove themselves to us, thus burying them.

    • Bryan

I agree unless John Cena and Randy Orton are in the main event again which I respect both men and I really like both men wrestling [especially Orton who I think is a fantastic wrestler] but WWE need to wake up and understand it’s not 2007 anymore it’s 2014 no one cares about them being the center of attention anymore as we seen them champions 100 times and it is boring now and it would be much better if they were in the upper midcard helping guys like Cesaro, Ziggler, Cody etc. to get over and into main event status not hogging the spotlight as their main event days are past their sell by date.

  • Shahjahan

The Rock became a really successful movie star before he returned. Brock leaner became ufc champion before he came back. Batista in the other hand, went to do movies and failed at that. Went to do mma and also failed at that. He had no other choice but to come back to wwe. And after 4 damn years, he wins the rumble. while in that period, CM Punk beats john cena multiple times, hold the wwe title for over a year and still doesn’t get a chance to win the rumble and headline wm30, when he bloody deserves to! Right now CM Punk is the by far the best wrestler in the world at this moment in time!

  • THE–JB–80

We should sign a petition getting cm punk back. I agree he hasn’t been as “good” as he once was but that’s not punk’s fault. It’s the writers, it’s Vince’s, and I personally think it’s HHH’s fault. As far as Steph goes, she doesn’t belong on television. Back in the day when her and HHH first “controlled” the scene she was more believable. She doesn’t look the role anymore. She looks like a stay at home mother.

  • killmeagain90

why bury the nxt roster??? start with the bigger fish! the nxt wrestlers are great and don’t deserve it.

  • REBIRTHRADIO

This is a must to show wwe big wigs…..Punk is a major player like it or not #CMCOMEBACK

  • CHRIS GIBBS @ 40

Heres one for HHH to chew on PUNK might not be running out of Chicago with the belt this time but he has taken something money carnt buy. The fans from teen to obseen we all want punk. What the hell HHH is trying to do is clear.
all his pals get pushed even shamus won the title in record time.
and now trying to force fans to shout nxt.
what next ? CIA knocking at ur door I bet vince is reading as I type ( hi leather face) .
Is thisbthe biggest work ever or the biggest screw ever cos where be Jane ?

  • Donny Octave

More like the ratings will sink… Nobody cares about any of these people! HAVE YOU HEARD THE CROWD REACTIONS?

  • HEELFalky

You my friend are an idiot talking about the IWC as a third party the mere fact you have commented and take part in these articles makes you a part of the IWC and I’m sure I not only speak for myself but I’d rather see Punk, Bryan, Cesaro, Ziggler in the Main Event Scene.

  • Chente

You obviously are not a true wrestling fan because the hacks you just mentioned are overpaid musclebbound idiots that can’t last longer then five minutes in a ring TRUE WWE fans care that Punk is gone just like they cared when Stone Cold left. You obviously are deaf or dumb if you can’t see the movement of fans not buying into these short time losers!

  • Coltcabunny

“Indy loser”? You do realise CM Punk has been in WWE FAR longer than he was ever on the indys. Punk joined WWE in 2005. That is 8 years as a WWE guy.

  • bigjoe

    you’re a dumbass

  • Maccabeus Jamal Whitaker

    How gay.

  • 197921998

Damn right!! The real problem is the IWC who complain about wanting this guy and that guy yet aren’t putting their money where their mouth is. When the IWC don’t PAY for the PPV’s that their favorite is main eventing, that gives the WWE a reason not to push that guy. The smarks can chant DB’s name all they want, but if it isn’t translating into DOLLARS then it will not matter.

  • Peer Pressure

This guy is absolutely right. I went to Smackdown last month and there was nothing but kids and their parents in attendance.

  • bigjoe

    hashtagging makes you a douche

  • alberto

Its pretty easy to never quit when you get everything you want. If Cena actually had balls and the passion for wrestling he says he has he would stand up for the new guys backstage cause if there is a wrestler with a say in what happens its John Cena.

  • angry foodie

All wrestlers have spots. Good wrestlers make those spots matter in the match.

Daniel Bryan is not a spot monkey by any measure, and neither was CM Punk.

Both guys have unreal psychology. The storytelling in the Wyatt-Bryan match at the Rumble was so far beyond what Dave and Orton could ever pull off without Bryan holding their hand through it.

Funniest thing I ever heard Batista say is talk about how he loved the storytelling and psychology of wrestling. Hilarious. He is a big reason why I stopped watching wrestling. Batista makes Kevin Nash look like Bret Hart.
