G.I. Joe Tops $130 Million – 3rd Installment In The Works, Kane Talks WM29 & More

WWEShop.com has released new “Know Your Worth” t-shirts for the Prime Time Players.

Forbes.com has an interview up with Kane, who talks about his Team Hell No tag team, WrestleMania 29 and the 2K Sports Video Game Challenge at WWE Axxess.

– G.I. Joe Retaliation took in over $130 million during it’s opening weekend, with around $50 million coming domestically and $80 million coming internationally. The decision to delay the movie’s release by 9 months to convert it to 3D (to charge higher ticket prices) has paid off quite nicely.

Paramount pictures has officially started work on a third G.I. Joe film, so The Rock has another blockbuster movie to add to his schedule.

    Did anyone see it? thoughts?

    • cappa37

Haven’t seen it yet due to Easter weekend but am looking forward to seeing it. Just imagine the money it would have made if it opened on a regular weekend.

it was cool.. lots of fights like the cartoon.. it was a fun movie for only a hr and a half

The most electrifying movie the world has ever seen !!!!

    • Triplex

IDK about that, fast 5 was good.

A third installment? The Rock is sitting at home rubbing his hands together thinking to himself… “He he he …. More millions…. I can’t get enough!!!!”

… another reason The Rock does NOT need to be back in WWE and should be appreciated for his efforts

Thank you! Plus John Cena is going to win this wrestlemania!

Some people always want more money.Vince is another great example…

      • Kris Mystery

That’s correct… The Rock does NOT need to be back in WWE. But the argument could be made that he is simply in it for the money because you can bet he’s being paid handsomely to be there.

        • breakfastinbed

I don’t think he’s really in this for the money. I mean come on, the guy is a blockbuster magnet. He’s doing it cause WWE needs his star power to get record buy rates and he likes it. Yes, he is getting paid handsomely but don’t you think that maybe he could be one of those nice guys who don’t mind helping out the company that launched him into super stardom?

Darren Young and Pancake Patterson are just oozing green looking at all those millions

big rock fan since i was 10, but this movie really sucked , i’d say its as bad as doom.

Agreed, The Rock is awesome, but his movies usually suck. The only Rock movie that I can say I enjoyed was Be Cool

      • TripleX

That’s your opinion, so stop saying it like it’s a fact. I liked a lot of his films. I think wrestling fans are biased butthurt trolls who repeat one another.

      • guest

Lol that was one of his worst movies.

  • ddp

have a feeling rock might actually get heavily booed @ this mania.

    • http://twitter.com/KimboHalf88 General Disarray

I think so too. Mania is usually infested with smarks, so that just might be the case.

I highly doubt it. Almost all legends are cheered at Mania no matter if a heel, face, part time etc. Take Hogan vs Rock at 18 for example. Expect Rocky to be heavily cheered.
