Honky Tonk Man Considering Legal Action Against Eric Bischoff

Published On February 5, 2010 | By | TNA News

– The Honky Tonk Man has posted a message on his official website requesting that Todd Alan Clen (a/k/a Bubba the Love Sponge) give him copies of all recordings where Eric Bischoff mentions him. HTM is considering legal action for defamation of character based on statements Bischoff made concerning his “value to the wrestling industry.”

Prior to this, Clen requested that HTM remove all media from said show posted on his website.

– On her Facebook account, Angelina Love spoke out against those impersonating her on Twitter, vehemently stating that she doesn’t have an account. She wrote: “Hey Everyone, I know there are a lot of posers out there and I just wanted to clear up that I do NOT have a Twitter account! A lot of people have been asking me about twitter.com/TNA_AngelLove and I want you all to know that is NOT me…”

– TNA will be holding house shows at the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center in Pikeville, Kentucky on April 8th, 2010 and the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, West Virginia on April 10th, 2010. (Thanks to Devin Cutting)

Nice try, HTM, but defamation is inapplicable in cases of opinion. Defamation requires untrue facts, but Bischoff was merely stating his opinion that you suck.

Actually, Bischoff claimed, untruly, that Honky never drew money. People hated Honky’s guts during his IC title run, and paid to see him defend and ultimately (no pun intended) lose the belt to Warrior at Summerslam.

Hey back off HTM he was as good as any back n the day and he’s still better than some of today’s talent.Oh and the back-off is directed to Bishoff himself.Who in the blue hell is he to say who sucked if his show back then did’nt he’d still be running WCW oops I mean WWE oh wait……HE SUCKED there too.but thats just a OPINION right.

Why is bischoff complaining about HTM when he is still employing Rob Terry and Lacey Von Eric?
