Jimmy Hart Says Hulk Hogan Will Be At WrestleMania XXX

, who is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with TNA Wrestling last month, told friend and fellow WWE Hall of Famer that one way or another, he will be at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, Louisiana. During an interview with Arda Ocal (@arda_ocal) of the Baltimore Sun on Wednesday to promote WWE’s upcoming History of WWE: 50 Years of Sports Entertainment release, Jimmy Hart said:

“Hogan knew I was doing this press tour with WWE promoting the DVD. He told me to say exactly this: Hulk Hogan will be at WrestleMania if he has to buy a ticket and sit at ringside.”

Hart continued,

“I think he can step into the ring one more time. We have a school in Florida, and he stepped into the ring there and did some stuff, and he looked great. As his friend, I’d be the first one to say, ‘Listen Hulk, do us a favor, just go out to the ring to Real American, say OK Brother, rip the shirt, do the pose, sign a bunch of autographs and people will still be just as happy,’ … but he does have a couple of good matches left in him, he really does. I’ve got my fingers crossed we see something at WrestleMania.”

Hart also named Cena as the WWE star fans surveyed at Hogan’s Beach Shop want to see Hogan wrestle at the show.

Hogan himself told Philadelphia’s ABC affiliate at an autograph signing last week that he “would love to be at WrestleMania XXX.”

“I would love to have a ringside seat. But, the truth is I need a job. I quit TNA. I’ve just been hanging out on the beach. Never say never.”

I know I don’t speak for everyone but I grew up watching Hogan. I think I’d rather remember him from the 90’s than see him in the ring today.

I wish he would just ride off into the sunset. His time is done…has been for a long time. Bringing him back will only provide a soapbox for him to boost his ego…as usual.

I think he should have a “match” with Cena. Basically Hogan comes to the ring, does his fan service, has a few moves nearly upsets Cena, then Cena does his heel turn flips out and brutalizes him would be a great swerve and almost guaranteed heel heat. I can but dream I seriously doubt Hogan’s ego would allow it, Or WWE would ever have the guts to turn Cena heel especially on the grand stage. It happened with Austin at WM17 but still very unlikely sadly.

ok, I’ll be completely honest…if Hogan were to just make a special appearance then that’s ok…but to actually wrestle?…hell no!…the guy’s had how many back surgeries over the last few years?…and he can’t really walk properly so to say that he’s good for a few more matches is just ridiculous to me…=/…and besides, I’m sure there are other potential matches that could be put on the Mania card instead of Hogan attempted to re-live the glory days…=/

    • pwnez,

JUST SHUT UP I WANT TO SEE HOGAN VS YOUR MOM

      • http://twitter.com/JamieEvsxx JamieEvsxx

really?…well it’s safe to say that my mum would definitely beat the sh*t out of that crippled fossil…so you know, maybe that wouldn’t be a bad match (btw, really?…a pwnez troll?…way to be original bro!)…xD

      • trololol

        sex tape match

  • Hershey Maxwell Barber

No reason for him to wrestle. Having any sort of competitive match up with anyone on the roster, is just was to far fetched. He’s old and broken.

  • fatneal

i say hogan vs cena at mania is gold…but it needs to set up some big storyline that way the match can be cut short due to a heel change or interference or whatever and still make sense….we the fans get a plot twist, hogan match, and a new dimension to cena in one swirl plus wwe has a huge story to work with up until summerslam…everybody wins

    • Dirty Joe

the hulk vs super Cena haha sounds like a good match

      • fatneal

it would be for story reasons and for legend vs legend crowd reaction…but i was saying let the match run short…a couple simple moves and maybe let cena slam hulk and try to 5 knuckle shuffle but hogan gets up and hulks up…the crowd goes wild then heel turn or interference or whatever thats going to advance the story…but that match cant close the show….or can it….hmmm

        • brad

O it could and it should

  • YES

I honestly think they should induct the NWO into the HOF this year and there you go Hogan will be a WM he can have a segment coming out talking about all hes done at WM and in the WWE on RAW one night if they really want the match Cena vs Hogan then Cena can come out and talk about all hes done at WM how he beat The Rock and Hogan didnt how he is the Modern Day Hulk Hogan and challenge him to a match there you go but honestly the match would be at most 15 minutes I dont think thats a good idea with your poster boy and possibly the main event of the night would be that match going 15 minutes when you could do Cena vs Taker (which i want) going 4 a good 35 – 40 minutes and that be the main event but hey we will see how plans go .

  • Universe

You can say whatever you want, but Hogan is a legend!

  • brad

I don’t want hogan long term, I just wanna see him show up at wrestlemania 30 and face john cena. It would be legendary. Then after that he can just make an aperrance and work backstage or whatever.

  • Dixie Carter

Washed up hack. I FIRED you from TNA. Crawl back to WWE and drain them dry…then you’ll join another promotion and shix on that then crawl back to WWE to pay for your mortgage you rotten no good basxard

  • Brian

To be honest, I think Cena at this point in his career could carry him to a watchable, twelve minute match. Obviously nowhere near the quality of Hogan’s match against The Rock.
