Jeff Hardy Added To Alumni, Impat Zone Lease Expiring & More

– WWE has added TNA World Champion Jeff Hardy to the Alumni section of Not surprisingly, there is no mention of TNA on Jeff’s bio. Jeff Hardy’s TNA contract expires at the end of the month.

– TNA has announced that it is suspending online voting for Gutcheck due to voting issues.

– TNA was talking about running an event from a military base on February 28th (very similar to Tribute to the Troops), but those plans fell through.

– TNA is terminating its lease with Universal for the Impact Zone at the end of March. The plan is to tape most of the One Night Only themed taped PPVs before the lease expires. As previously reported, TNA will be holding double “One Night Only” tapings on 3/17, 3/23 and 3/24.

Does them cancelling the lease mean they won’t be going back to Universal Studios anymore?

    • askbillmitchell

Once the road hands TNA them their asses, they will be back. Assuming Universial doesn’t turn it into TNA the Experience Ride first.

  • raVen

if TNA can hit the medium markets that wwe ignores they can have big success.

liek Salt Lake City. wwe comes around once every 15years for a house show.. bring impact to SLC and you will sell the place out and have a hungry crowd on hand.

they don’t need 150,000 people each week, target the 10-20,000 seat market

    • Bushwald Sexyface

Good luck getting that many people in Salt Lake to turn out for a TNA event. I don’t even think they’d sell out 5000 seats.

  • IKeepsit100

Jeff and Matt are getting alot of videos uploaded by WWEFanNation on youtube lately…i’m guessing something is coming up.
Showing his(jeff) wins…winning the WHC vs punk title and Cenas title(lol) on WWE youtube channel

Better yet,i just finished watching the HHH vs Edge vs Jeff…AWESOME MATCH

  • Jazzy Jeff Hardy

does this mean Jeff is ‘anonymous’ from the video and coming back to WWE???

    • Mattitude

Could be. Odds are WWE creative came up with the idea for the character and have no idea who to use for it. So if they haven’t found anyone by the time Jeff’s contract is up……..and well if he doesn’t have a non-compete…But I definitely think that at some point in the future we will see Jeff back in the WWE

    • Forceton Banfodder

Not even sure if that account is WWE’s. It’s possible its an angle, but until Hardy is out of his contract, and the legal battle is still in the air, I don’t believe that WWE would make such a blatantly preemptive move like this unless through some legal maneuvering Hardy has already signed an agreement with the WWE that he will not resign with TNA and return once his non-compete is up.

And if that’s the case, releasing this vignette 120+ days before Hardy could even be available is a bit premature. In fact, the vignette could be in itself a violation of the non-compete unless the contract only stipulates live and “televised” appearances, which would leave YouTube completely open.

If this is legitimate, I would guess they already have someone lined up for the roll as it looks like it would possibly be the leader of SHIELD. Who knows, maybe it is a Hardy, just not the one we expect. Certainly seems to carry himself like a hardy.

But who knows, never say never in this industry.

    • wwetnadudez

Haven’t seen this but that actually seems like a really interesting character.

    • askbillmitchell

The figure in the vignette looks a lot like Vampiro. Odd.

  • Forceton Banfodder

The fact that Jeff Hardy has been increasingly kind in his comments about the WWE leads me to believe that soon or later he plans to return for one last run and one big paycheck.

Some may say no way, and that he likes the TNA schedule, etc..

I’ll point out 2 reasons why that logic could be trumped by WWE.

    1. TNA is going on the road, so that easy schedule becomes less easy, making a return to WWE’s touring schedule for more pay look much more appealing.

    2. WWE offers to rehire Matt Hardy back to the WWE in exchange for Jeff Hardy signing a new contract. Giving his brother another chance at relevance and steady work. And Jeff would do anything for Matt.

    • Randy James Crawford

Matt Hardy will never be back in WWE.

      • Forceton Banfodder

If it means getting Jeff Hardy back, yes, he will.

        • Thomas Wing

Never say never about Matt Hardy. If WWE can make a few pennies of The Hardys then they will bring them back. Plus If TNA’s schedule is gonna try to somewhat mirror WWE’s with travel…then I would go to WWE. Get paid more to do the same thing.

          • Thomas Wing

That post was meant as a reply Randy not Forceton. Sorry.

          • Forceton Banfodder

            No worries bro

          • Cujo999

If Matt has cleaned up, then I can see WWE wanting him. He was still getting good crowd pop at the end of his last WWE run, and WWE doesn’t exactly have a stacked roster to fill it’s 7 hours of TV time a week. They can still do huge buisness off the Hardy’s as a tag-team and they can also use Jeff as a main eventer and Matt as a mid-carder.

    • 2muchfire

I don’t like you, but your comment makes perfect sense.

      • Forceton Banfodder

Lots of people on this site started out hating me. I ain’t even mad bro.

    • mrchopper

If Jericho can do the schedule he does (not to mention Brock), Jeff could definitely get a great deal if he went back. He just needs to be in the right headspace.

      • Forceton Banfodder

Agreed. I think WWE is so desperate to get any main event guys back to boost ratings and buyrates that they’re finally willing to deal with the scheduling demands of their bigger former stars, as we see with Rock and Lesnar.

And seriously, 2 years ago, no one would’ve believed that Lesnar would resign with WWE or that WWE would even bring him back.

        • Bushwald Sexyface

Hell, I never would have thought they would get Rock to come back and wrestle. That is an amazing accomplishment in itself.

    • Max Da Boss Patterson

I hate to rain on your parade but here is how your logic fails.
      1. Even though impact is going on the road, tna overall have less shows than the wwe.
      2. TNA could rehire Matt Hardy as well.

      • Forceton Banfodder

First. WWE has proven with the rehiring of Jericho, Lesnar and Rock that they are willing to negotiate schedules with former high drawing stars to increase their ratings and buyrates. So Jeff most likely could/would get whatever schedule he wanted.

Second, TNA could hire Matt back… But they haven’t.

And even if they did, do you think Matt would get more than he made at WWE?

The incentives for Jeff to go back to the WWE one last time for a bigger paycheck, bigger draw and a bigger send off as well as a lock for the WWE HOF and a Legends contract would be more tempting than anything TNA could offer.

TNA can offer to do a lot for him, but we all know who’s got more money, more fans, and more draw.

And fact is, Matt said not too long ago that he fully expects him and his brother to be in the WWE again. That kinda tells you that they’ve got a plan.

Isn’t there a rule in which a wrestle who currently works for a rival company don’t get added to the Alumni page? I remember when Mickie James was on the Alumni page and since joining TNA, her profile got removed because of something like that. I guess that rule don’t exist anymore.

    • Steve

i think WWE and TNA has settled that and a few more things similar to this (things that benefit both companies).

Not only Jeff, but RVD, Sting and Tiffany (Taryn Terrell) is in the WWE Alumni section.

  • Bushwald Sexyface

I wouldn’t mind seeing a Jeff Hardy/Dolph Ziggler feud…but, other than that, I don’t really care either way about Jeff returning to WWE.

  • askbillmitchell

Jeff Hardy signs long term deal with TNA… Interesting.
