Jeff Hardy Interested In Returning To WWE

With ’s TNA contract set to expire in early 2013, there are some rumblings that the Charismatic Enigma is interested in returning to the organization where he first gained international fame, WWE.

Hardy has gotten great reviews behind the scenes in TNA over the past year, having cleaned up his act and been a “model employee.” With the various legal troubles he’s had in recent years, Hardy reportedly wants to have one more big run in WWE, where he can make a lot of money for the final chapter of his storied career.

Jeff Hardy won the TNA Bound For Glory series and is scheduled to wrestle Austin Aries for the TNA World Championship in the main event of this year’s Bound For Glory. It’s believed that Hardy was given this opportunity as a way to keep him happy.

Hardy remains the top seller of merchandise in TNA and is one of the company’s top draws. TNA really wants to keep Jeff Hardy and might even give him a run with the World title as a way to keep him on board.

YES! YES! YES! I don’t care what any WWE mark says, I would gladly take Jeff back any day of the year.

      back to rehab?

        September 19, 2012 at 3:30 pm

was that suppose to be funny or something?

            Cleaver? What are we cutting?

cut the attitude buddy. my apologies for my typo.

        September 19, 2012 at 5:20 pm

That would have been funny had it not been for the fact that you’re commenting on an article that even says he’s cleaned himself up.

        September 19, 2012 at 11:48 pm

        He say’s no no no.

      September 19, 2012 at 3:18 pm

That fued already happen. If you remember, as per storline… CM Punk is the reason why Jeff had to leave WWE

        September 19, 2012 at 3:28 pm

That is why he said “new feud”…CM punk MADE jeff leave WWE? You are so wrong.

          September 19, 2012 at 4:17 pm

That’s the exact reason he left. CM Punk beat him in a cage match, loser leaves WWE.

            September 20, 2012 at 1:37 am

I was at the smackdown the next week after the loser leaves WWE match, CM Punk came out to Jeff Hardy’s music and dressed like him, face paint and all….Classic.

          September 19, 2012 at 4:22 pm

Actually, storyline-wise that’s exactly what he did. It was a cage match on Smackdown.

          September 19, 2012 at 6:13 pm

Actually it is true, as far as the storyline anyway. They had a match and loser had to leave WWE. Jeff lost….so he left. We all know why he really left in real life, but as far as story lines go….punk is the reason he left.

        September 19, 2012 at 3:29 pm

o i had to make another reply…CM punk MADE jeff leave WWE? You are so wrong.

      i know right

      September 26, 2012 at 5:09 pm

yeah man. Have him return at the 2013 royal rumble #30 as a suprise entrant to win it and a month later he chooses the winner of the CM Punk- The Rock WWE title match. Punk will likely enter WM 29 as Champion and Jeff chooses to ignite his feud with him at WM 29. The Rock vs. John Cena II. Fatal 4 Way Match for the World Title: (C) Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio. No Holds Barred Match Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar. and Celebrity vs. Celebrity Match Floyd Mayweather vs. The Miz. Revenge Match Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler. Money in the bank Match, Kane, Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett, Rey Mysterio,Sin Cara, Damien Sandow, Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes, Christian, and Jack Swagger

    September 19, 2012 at 1:45 pm

The TNA fanboys would be devastated.

    September 19, 2012 at 1:48 pm

wow the wwe is gonna be ass kissing hardy now to get him to come back! If he returns royal rumble which is not likely.. i guarantee ratings will go up for some time since hardy can bring in crowds

What you said was pointless and already etched in our minds. It was not an opinion it was a fact.

      Forceton Banfodder

      September 19, 2012 at 3:49 pm

From my understanding, the door has always been open for Hardy to comeback. I don’t think the WWE needs to kiss his ass at all. It would be in Hardy’s best interest to return if he wants a bigger payday and to be able to retire on the biggest stage of them all, Wrestlemania.

But I wouldn’t hold my breath on seeing Hardy till after this year’s Wrestlemania, if at all. Even if his contract was up on January 1st, with the 90 day non-compete, it wouldn’t be till April 1st that he could debut. And I doubt his contract is up that soon.

    September 19, 2012 at 1:50 pm

We can’t really tell if Jeff Hardy could thrive in WWE especially that the company is struggling in building their wrestlers’ career. If he does go back in WWE, he could be the face of Smackdown. He’s way better than Sheamus.

    • Donte Shoshona Gopual

      September 19, 2012 at 2:47 pm

in the past month they’ve done a good job
      Dolph ziggler
      Antonio Cesaro
      IC title is known
Tag titles will be known when smackdown hits this friday
Cody Rhodes (they’re building very slowly for him)
      And Wade barret
also coming back is mark henry ( he was the main reason i would watch smackdown last year

        September 19, 2012 at 3:51 pm

        you’re forgetting damien sandow.

          >_< lol trolface ^_^

          September 19, 2012 at 6:19 pm

maybe he 4got to mention sandow because well, correct me if im wrong here but sandow hasn’t really been in anything too interesting since arriving on the scene other than squash matches against the NXT mid-carders who used to have something good in WWE.

    September 19, 2012 at 1:52 pm

While I’m not a huge Hardy fan (Jeff or Matt), I believe in second chances. If he’s gotten himself cleaned up, and the WWE sees him as an asset, I see no reason not to give him a chance. With his drug issues, I’d make sure to keep an eye on him though.

      September 27, 2012 at 7:44 am

Matt’s not what he used to be. All thise DUIs have gotten to him.

    September 19, 2012 at 1:57 pm

    September 19, 2012 at 2:06 pm

He’d definitely be over with the fans if he made a return to WWE. I’d want to see another Punk/Hardy feud though.

      September 19, 2012 at 6:36 pm

If they can get him post wrestlemania next year then they can keep Punk involved in a high profile fued. Man is 2013 looking like its going to be a great year for WWE already.

Jeff Hardy Help Make CM punk and this would be the only feud that would get any real traction in the WWE

    • David

      September 19, 2012 at 3:32 pm

Already been done. It’s potential was quashed quite spectacularly as Punk really could not make references to Hardy’s drug use so we were left with a crap story with Punk doing his best with the PG material he was allowed to work with. “Look at Jeff Hardy and all of his enablers in the audience who are addicted to prescription medication.”. Yes, really.

Daniel Bryan vs Jeff Hardy that would be awesome

    September 19, 2012 at 2:26 pm

I’m all for it. I’ve always been a big Jeff Hardy fan, and now that he seems to have cleaned up his act, I don’t think there would be a better time. He should come back and feud with CM Punk right away, that feud would be so epic… especially how it ended with Hardy walking to the back and getting hit in the head with the title by Punk… somewhat of a cliff hanger…

For the love of all things wrestling, please no. Stay in TNA.

    September 19, 2012 at 2:45 pm

I would love to see jeff hardy come back to wwe

    September 19, 2012 at 2:56 pm

Whatever happened to loyalty to the brand? I mean TNA took a huge risk picking up a “broken talent” and he has managed to not only clean up his act but also prosper more than most in TNA. I think WWE would end up squashing him like they have done to so many other wrestlers over the years. The schedule and constant traveling would only lend to him slipping back into the drug scene once more. Money is one thing, but life is another. He has his life back…that should be enough.

      September 19, 2012 at 3:33 pm

Im sorry doesn’t one company have a drug policy and the other doesn’t…..and the one that doesn’t didn’t they send him to the ring blitzed out of his mind? OH yea that was TNA.

    September 19, 2012 at 2:58 pm

thumbs up if CM Punk is better than Jeff Hardy!

      September 19, 2012 at 3:00 pm

CM Punk is definitively better than Hardy but I gave you a thumbs down cause Sheamus is awful.

  19. Ericolis Kelley

    September 19, 2012 at 3:21 pm

Hardy can have a program with Daniel Bryan. Don’t wanna see “The Best In The World” embarress him again.

    September 19, 2012 at 3:22 pm

I don’t think he’ll go to WWE since..
1 – WWE will find him unreliable due to his past with drugs
2 – TNA will do everything they can to keep such a popular star (Even the world title it seems)
3 – With TNA improving I can see them getting Hardy into some hardcore matches.
I wouldn’t mind him going back to WWE but I think there’s only a couple of guys who we could have good feuds with.. That’d be Punk, Bryan, Ziggler & maybe Sin Cara.

    September 19, 2012 at 3:29 pm

I would’t mind seeing him back. And like everyone rekindling his feud with cm punk would be great. I’ll probably get 100 thumbs down for this but a cena/hardy fued would be interesting.

  25. Chip Hazard

    September 19, 2012 at 4:23 pm

I love how everyone wants to see Jeff Hardy back in WWE don’t get me wrong he’s a descent wrestler but what about bringing up some of the guys from development like Richie Steamboat, Kassius Ohno, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas, Seth Rollins, Xavier Woods etc. and showcase new guys instead of reliving the guys who have been there before and screwed up multiple times, Don’t get me wrong i love nostaliga as much as the next guy but I also love to see new guys get a chance to showcase their talent as well

      September 19, 2012 at 5:38 pm

At the end of the day,the WWE is a buisness, and Jeff Hardy is a main event draw for them. On a show to show basis,WWE is hurting for star power, right now,and Jeff is a guy that they can do fresh progams with several of their top talents. I don’t recall a Jeff Hardy-Randy Orton or Hardy-Cena rivalry, plus you’ve got Hardy-Sheamus,Hardy-D.Bryan,Hardy-Del Rio,and Hardy-Ziggler. Yes,WWE needs to start working in some of their top developmental talents, but that’s 10x easier to do when you’re set with main event draws and those young guys aren’t being asked to carry the show.

    September 19, 2012 at 4:52 pm

It’d be sad for TNA, considering how they treated Hardy, for him to thank them by going to WWE to end his career. I understand Hardy but… well it’d be sad for TNA.

Yeah I know that and I agree, but look at Angle and many others. At this point, Jeff really doesn’t need the WWE. But God knows how much I want a new Punk vs Hardy feud : D

          September 19, 2012 at 7:30 pm

We both know that Angle would go back to the WWE in a heartbeat if they would take him.

            September 20, 2012 at 9:50 am

So true. I love TNA to death but the fact that Hardy has to say “I wanna make alot of money for my last run” just shows that no matter how u feel bout the WWE, it’s still the Big Leagues. It’s sad how many great wrestlers really belong in WWE but let personal stuff get in the way of that. And it’s even more sad how fake some guys r in TNA. I wont mention names cuz u guys r true fans so u know who r the ones that boast TNA 4 Life but and the end if WWE had the dollars signs pointed at them they’d jump ship. Hardy v.s. Cena would. Be. Great.

            September 20, 2012 at 9:53 am

Ah. NOt Cena LOL my bad. Hardy v.s. Punk (whew) Almost ate my words lol

Hi again buddy….Im sick of Jeff in WWE becoz i believe the new stars re way too big for him to return huge….Plus i never see him a WHC or WWE Champ never ever….So its better he hav his last run of routined-vicodin in TNA and not contaminate wwe locker room or the fans…

    September 19, 2012 at 5:36 pm

While this is great and all, I want to see Hardy back for one more run. What about the whole lawsuit ordeal? Wasn’t WWE staying clear of TNA talent? You can point and laugh if I’m wrong, but don’t some cases take a while? Plus however long WWE feels like keeping up with their “No TNA Talent” policy, it might pass by Hardy’s contact renewal period. That’s just my take on it though.

Jeff is a draw for TNA but I think he isn’t quite as big as he was when he returned to TNA from WWE, I feel like if he wants that one big run then he could go to WWE a few years or so become huge ( though he has had 2 strikes ) and maybe when he thinks its time to wind down he could go back to TNA and take the easier schedule.

    September 19, 2012 at 6:00 pm

    Hardy V.S Punk Wrestlemania 30!

    September 19, 2012 at 7:11 pm

To be frankly honest, Jeff needs to lock in on himself before he even considers going back to WWE. He has to be 100% sure he can remain sober. I have a feeling that might be hard for him. I’m rooting for the guy to have one last run, always a fan of him whooping ass with Matt and Lita, but still. He can’t go chasing things when he isn’t cleaned up, especially with wwe’s new…changes.
Whatever he decides to do, his fans will support him.

Jeff Hardy’s chances of joining WWE aren’t looking good right now as he committed two drug awareness violations and then getting arrested for having drugs on him a few months after his contract expired with the WWE. Jeff Hardy going back to the WWE won’t be as easy as he thinks.

He’s gone. No title run is gonna keep him. If he wants money he’s going back to WWE plain and simple. TNA can not afford to pay him what WWE will if they want him back.

    September 20, 2012 at 2:47 am

His TNA contract expires in 2012 or 2013? If it’s 2012, jumping to WWE is too soon; better make sure he’s finally back on the right track before going back to the big time. One more year in TNA wouldn’t hurt. If it’s 2013, then why would TNA feel that they have to give him the title shot NOW to keep him happy if he’s going to have to be with them under contract for at least another year?

    September 20, 2012 at 2:54 am

As far as WWE feud for him, Hardy vs. Punk again would be fine (just to settle the departing storyline) but if it would be his last run then I think he should go one last time against the guys who helped make him famous. I’d love to see a Jeff Hardy/Christian Tag Team and then the usual tag team storyline; partner up, win the tag titles, Jeff cost them the tag titles, Christian cost them again in the rematch, Jeff lose it for them in the rubber match, eventual Christian heel turn on Jeff and then there’s a rivalry for months of PPV’s… including a Ladder Match, TLC Match, and/or Money in the Bank contenders (in which Jeff wins and eventually cashes in for WWE or World Title.)
