Jerry Lawler Returning To The Ring, What Happened After Monday’s RAW

– After Monday’s WWE RAW went off the air, WWE Champion John Cena teamed up with tag team champions Team Hell No against The Shield. The Shield dominated early. At one point, Seth Rollins came in with a stel chair as Cena was about to win the match. The Sheild tried to triple power bomb Cena, but Daniel Bryan came back into the ring with a chair to run The Shield off. (Thanks to Jeff Burke).

– WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler is returning to the ring for the first time since suffering a heart attack live on Monday Night RAW last year. Lawler is scheduled to team with former NWA World champion Dory Funk Jr. on May 25th in Ocala, Florida for Funk’s !Bang! promotion.

Come on Jerry do you really need to continue wrestling at this age. Be smart and stop before you body will not be able to handle it anymore.

Lawler is nuts… but whatever man, it’s his life.

  • The Wrestling God

You gotta admire this crazy son of a bitch. He loves wrestling and its clear he wants to die in the business.

    • TheKillingMoon

Crazy and stupid at the same time.

I have all the respect for Lawler and admire his passion for the wrestling business. But I don’t think he should return to the ring even if he has the okay from his doctors. If he were to have another heart attack at an Indy show, he may not be so lucky this time. Lawler, you’ve had an amazing career. Be remembered for that and not as the guy who died in the ring.

I worked with a man in a warehouse a few years back. He was 65-ish, and in better shape than me. He had a heart attack, had bypass surgery, and came back nine months later. He didn’t think the heavy lifting caused his attacked, but instead felt that it saved his live.
So Jerry staying in ring shape, even if he only has one match a season, may keep him healthier than if he stayed down.

I’m sure Jerry understands the risks involved more than most since it is his own life that is at risk. If he loves it that much, and it gives his life enjoyment and meaning, then I’m all for him returning to the ring.

As much as I’d like to pat The King on the back for this, I was scared shitless last year when he literally died for a few minutes. C’mon man, ease up a lil’. Give it time. I’m not a fan of his post-JR commentary, but I really don’t want to see anything bad happen to that crazy sonoffagun.

Daniel bryan seems to be closing down a lot of shows. I guess bangin Bellas with Cena is payin off.
