Former WWE performer James Henry Neidhart, 55, (a/k/a Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart) was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with two counts of possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, two counts of trafficking illegal drugs, one count of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, and one count of third degree grand theft for property stolen between $300 and $5,000.

The father of WWE Diva Natalya was arrestedat 2:50 p.m. after deputies were alerted to him being loud and unruly as he was pumping gas at the A.J. Food Market, located at 9806 Tom Folsom Road. He was seen opening pill bottles located in the trunk of his silver Pontiac Sunfire, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s arrest report.

When authorities arrived to the scene, he was agitated and aggressive. He was observed “ingesting multiple pills that he dropped on the ground while inside the trunk of his vehicle,” the sheriff’s office arrest report states.

Neidhart is currently being held without bond pending his first appearance before a judge.

Man, that’s embarrasing. Though not to make light of the situation, but it atleast this wasn’t another wrestling death– thank gawd.

  • asim2384

The Anvil drives a Pontiac Sunfire… hah

  • Mccall101

I mean do wrestlers just not care anymore? People can beat addiction with the proper channels and drives. I know addiction is difficult but you can do anything you put your mind to.

  • Timmer82

Wrestlers always take such good mugshots.

  • rmateys

The same commenters who completely bashed nowinski for his comments and disregarding him as a quack or a no one who was just jealous, are now worried about the anvil? I think not. I love wrestling, I love the sport, I love the entertainment, but its the lifestyle that Vince McMahon condones. He needs his wrestlers to be super human so he can make the big bucks. He also continuously over works his employees. They hurt, they can’t heal and it doesn’t just effect their run with WWE it affects their whole lives. If you want a better bunch of wrestlers to look up to, not just over inflated steroid users telling you to drink your milk and take your vitamins, then tell McMahon by letting him know you don’t want the over inflated dingbat you want the smaller guy who can fly through the air and amaze you time and time again. You want the guy who works for his muscle and is proud of his health, and you want the guy who is clean, not SES status or anything but a guy who isn’t out all night, working all day and eating junk in between but takes a shot and a few prescription pills to get his day and career going. Don’t cheer for the big guys (don’t boo either), don’t buy their merch. According to Vince, the only thing that doesn’t lie is money and sales so hit him where it hurts and demand better wrestlers. *gets off soap box*

    Wow!!

  • ATrueTNAFan

Have to agree with Rmateys on quite alot of his points there.
The Wellness policy is a huge game of smoke and mirrors.
The E will chew you up and spit you out.
I totally agree with The Solomonster when he says the best thing for Kurt Angle, health wise, was moving to TNA .

  • The Shockmaster

WWE doesn’t care about its talent as long as it makes them money. Then when they are done with them they just forget about them. The whole rehab thing and wellness policy is smoke and mirrors. That was just done to try and get some heat off of them. If wrestling companies really want to help their employees, they would be like any other major business. They would have health and retirement benefits. Set it up like other employers where you don’t get contracts, but you earn a salary and are an at-will employee. Yes, some might walk to get more money somewhere, but when wrestlers start seeing that health insurance and retirement is better for them in the long run, the attitudes will change.

Maybe someone made this point and i missed it, but heres what i got to say for what its worth. These guys we fail to understand the hardship of the life on the road they live, day in day out. While wrestling for the most part is not real, the bumps falls and slams they take in the ring will take a toll on the human body, and i am sure that living on painkillers among other things became a very normal way of life to just be able to get out of bed and go to work the next day. We as people of normal day to day life don’t live 200plus days on the road away from everything we know, let alone not getting a decent meal every day or a good nights sleep, so yet again i am sure the use becomes very normal in their life, and anyone who has used and been hooked on some of this stuff will tell you, its not a easy hold to break, and the way the WWE trys to distance themselves from these guys it seems because of the new image, even with the few help programs they may have, i am sure they only show any care when a stroy like this breaks out, and to think Linda wants to hold a office, all her and Vince are doing is trying to bury the past, and push away those who bring negative light.

  • DA-DIAMOND-DOGG

OK… I AGREE ON MOST OF UR POINTS THERE FANBOY, BUTTTT…. LIVING LIKE ROCKSTARS CAN B A DEADLY WAY OF LIFE. IT ALL COMES DOWN 2 PERSONAL CHOICES. U N SOME PAIN? OK A FEW PAINKILLERS HERE AND THERE WOULD B FINE… BUT IT HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED ABOUT THE RAMPANT DRUG ABUSE AND PARTYING N THE OLD DAYS… I DONT CARE HOW BAD U FEEL U DONT HAVE 2 GO AND SMOKE CRACK, JUST AS 1 EXAMPLE. THATS JUST POOR ASS DECISION MAKING 2 ME. AND WHO SAYS HIS ADDICTIONS R WRESTLING RELATED… HE COULDA BEEN AN ADDICT B4 HE EVEN STARTED WRESTLING, HE WAS A FOOTBALL PLAYER. AS FAR AS BUMPS GO I NEVER SEEN THE ANVIL GO BUMPING AROUND THE RING THAT MUCH. BUT TRAVEL CAN TEAR U APART SOMETIMES MORE THAN THE N RING COLLISIONS. ANYWAYS… SOMEBODY GET THE MAN SOME HELP B4 HE DOES WIND UP BEING THE NEXT DEATH WE R READING ABOUT. IMMEDIATELY AND EXPEDITIOUSLY PLEASE AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE B/C THE TRIPLE D O DOUBLE G SAID SO…. o(*..*)o

  • DA-DIAMOND-DOGG

AND UR RIGHT… WHILE WWE IS PULLING THEM FROM THEIR SITE B/C IT PUTS THEM N A NEGATIVE LIGHT, THEY SHOULD EXTEND SOME HANDS AND GET THESE PPL SOME HELP… ANVIL HAS BEEN AN ADDICT 4 MORE THAN 20 YEARS NOW… LONGER THAN SOME CAREERS… LOL OBVIOUSLY HE HASNT LEARNED HIS LESSONS YET… LETTING THE DEMONS WIN EVERYTIME, ALAS JAKE THE SNAKE…. MAY THEY REST N FUTURE PIECE… AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE B/C THE TRIPLE D O DOUBLE G SAID SO…. o(*..*)o

  • JohnyH

I don’t see why WWE should care. He doesn’t work for them, and they are offering him free rehab, so you morons talking about how “WWE don’t care about wrestlers” so what? Why should they? These guys are grown men, and they can make their own goddamn decisions.

  • Barbon

This is a shame. So many of these guys seem to just wind up like this just addicted to drugs and committing crimes to fuel their addiction. Back in the day i’m sure most would agree he was a cool face and did enough to be remembered. I hope someone does something before we all read something adding him to the already long list of dead wrestlers. DON’T

  • Yeah Baby!

    Yeah baby! Yahahahahaha!
