Jim Ross Blog: Undertaker vs. Ambrose, WWE’s Most Underutilized Performer

WWE Hall of Famer has updated his blog, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what he wrote about:

Undertaker vs. Dean Ambrose: “Looking forward to watching Friday Night Smackdown tonight as the Undertaker takes on the Shield’s Dean Ambrose. I don’t expect to see Taker on TV that much at all in the future but what an opportunity for Ambrose and his teammates to shine with a future Hall of Famer.”

John Cena At Next Week’s NXT Tapings: “Big week in NXT Thursday night at Full Sail University in Orlando/Winter Haven, Florida. Young talents are expected to be better than they were when we taped five, one hour broadcasts prior to WrestleMania 29. If someone claims that they are ‘peaking’ at this young age because the scenery is getting stale then they are helping themselves out the door. John Cena is set to join us on Thursday May 2.”

WWE’s Most Underutilized Performer: “I was asked recently on Twitter who I thought was one of the most underrated athletes in the WWE locker room I mentioned that an argument could be made for more than one but off the top of my head I’d go with @WWEMcGillicutty. The son of the late Curt Hennig is the complete package and is only getting better. Some of his bouts in NXT have been excellent. I like the kid a great deal and hope that he sticks with the goal of achieving his dream to follow in his dad’s footsteps and to create his own legacy.”

Taker Vs Ambrose was a pretty good match, Undertaker looked really good in the ring and moved around quite well I was impressed.
I agree as well about McGuillicutty being underutilized, when you look at the guys matches it does make you question what WWE is waiting for.

    • Steve

he is a great wrestler with excellent attitude, but he has no charisma. i think he would be an excellent tag team wrestler. i would not mind him teaming with, for example, Kassius Ohno and going after tag titles. Kassius could do most of the talking and in ring they would be great together.

      • SwindleFox69

If Kassius get’s stuck in a tag team, why not give the fans what they want and reunite the kings of wrestling.

        • Steve

for now looks like Kassius is stuck in NXT :(

          • SwindleFox69

They’re burrying Cesaro so much that they might as well send him back to NXT

          • Steve

i think Cesaro has really pissed someone off backstage, because he was one of the most vocal ones about not getting a WM match.

      • shashy626

I think you and Pozessed are spot on. He definitely needs to keep up the hard work. They must appreciate his ability backstage, because they wouldn’t have allowed him to help the Rock prepare for the Royal Rumble if they didn’t.

  • Reality

It’s weird to read “future Hall of Famer” of Taker… because it feels like he’s already in there.

    • that guy over there

they call almost everybody a future hall of famer on tv all the time especially john cena, randy orton, and most top guys and miscarders

      • Reality

This is one of the reasons why it feels like Taker is already in there.

    • Ouch

I think, not to be too fanboy, but genuinely, I think The Undertaker is above the WWE hall of fame, I think he should go into the over all wrestling hall of fame. He really is…I don’t even know how to describe it.
What he’s done in his career can never be done again and I’m not just talking about the streak, amazing wrestler with a love and dedication to the business that I have never seen.

        Undertaker is…transcendent. I believe that’s the word.

Taker should Get a Hall of Fame Crown rather then a ring

Taker should Get a Hall of Fame Crown rather then a ring

  • Tommy

Jr always has to ruin everything with a negative comment.i don’t expect to see taker on t.v that much in the future..so what….what if we do……I’m tired of jr’s comments and predictions as if he doesn’t know what’s happening anyway

    • Tommy

I’m also tired of the Undertaker. He’s a useless old tub of shit. I hope he retires or dies.

      • Vince

        Retire, yes. Die, no.

      • Ouch

You’re a sick fuck you know that.

      • Tommy

My name is tommy but I didn’t say that about the undertaker.he is one of the only reasons I watch mania..the asshole who posted as me should die though

        • Tommy

No! I’m Tommy! Those other people are impostors!

          • The real tommy

You really have no life do you?

          • The real tommy

Why am I telling myself I have no life?

        • Ouch

It wasn’t the fact you called him a useless tub of shit, everyone has there opinion but you should never wish death apon anyone man.

      • Jayden53092

that’s a bit harsh, wouldn’t you say? you’re a pretty terrible human being. just saying.

    • http://twitter.com/ProtonProtoss Sal vatore Gariolo

i’m not gonna sit here and make a false account to make fun of you as that’s just annoying. wanted to say that he’s not being negative, just realistic. he doesn’t expect to see much of the undertaker as he is up there in age and his career is definitely winding down. if you can’t see that, then you’re clearly ignorant. but i’m sure you do, but just took his comment out of context. also, don’t fret about troll accounts. i’ve been coming to sescoops for years and seen plenty of trolls. the worst one was pwnez’s stalker.. hell, if you’re gonna parody someone, at least use the same profile picture as the person.. lol j.r. likes to talk and give his opinion. if you don’t want to read it, why did you open the article titled “jim ross blog”?

  • Jayden53092

god it just makes me want to rip out my own organs because of what wwe has done to kane.

    • Pozessed

I do agree to an extent but think of it like this… He is getting perceived a lot more like a comedy type guy with Daniel Bryan and they are VERY over as baby faces. If Kane ever turned into the sick sadistic monster and turned on Bryan then imagine the reaction he could get?

      • Steve

as i understand from a few short comments from Kane himself, he really likes his character right now. he and Bryan are in control of their character development, so they basically do what they like, not what they are told to.

I don’t disagree for one second that joe hennig can’t wrestle, but he has no star quality what so ever. He looks like “average joe” and isn’t charismatic in the least. That, combined with having MASSIVE shoes to fill, I don’t see him ever being more than a mid carder.

  • VKM

Ted Dibiase for me! he was better then cody in legacy and has an excellent intensity as a heel.

  • savagedragon

Tyson Kidd has had great longer matches with Trent Baretta, Yoshi and McGillicutty I want to see more of that on Smackdown. Tyson vs Mike McG could be a great US title feud after Summerslam
