John Cena On Next Week’s CM Punk Match, Jericho Calls The Shield The “Future”

– Following Monday’s WWE RAW, John Cena tweeted about his decision to put his WWE title match at WrestleMania 29 on the line against CM Punk next week:

– Chris Jericho called The Shield the “future” of WWE in a tweet about his match against them on RAW:

Jericho also replied to a follower who said he still needs to win once in a while:

  • Muhahahahah

Because Jericho knows what talent looks like. I was so glad to see The Shield win on Sunday I was sure they were going to lose to Cena’s team. Great to see WWE not dropping the ball. Hope they keep building up the Shield.

They built Nexus too fast too much, so there was no choice but to let them go their seperate ways. With SHIELD they are going slow and steady and at least for now, booking them nicely. I really hope that WWE are seeing the potential and will let the SHIELD be as great as nWo

Making them lose the three “biggest” babyfaces of the company isn’t what I would call “dropping the ball”. That’s why it was even more surprising, it was great

It would absolutely been dropping the ball, losing in only their third real match how wouldn’t it have been? The Nexus was the best storyline on TV when that started and were completely derailed in 2 months at summer slam by Supercena, you have no idea how happy I was that Supercena didn’t strike again cutting the balls this time off the shield aka the future top guys in the company
