John Cena Undergoes Triceps Surgery (Photo)

cena-triceps

successfully underwent surgery on his triceps earlier today. He tweeted the following about the procedure, including a photo of him with Dr. James Andrews:

“Bit of a rough crowd for a farewell address, but I would have it no other way. I will miss @WWEUniverse I love ALL you guys see u soon!”

“Surgery went very well, Dr Andrews has more than done his part, now I will do mine.”

“Me and the Miracle Man Dr. Andrews, thanks 2 him and staff ill be back soon! “

  • Thomas

im always scared when an old dude does my surgery because i sometimes think he’s too old and he may forget what he’s doing lol. Not tryna be rude or anything but yeah

    • JimTZZ

i know how you’re feeling dude

    • Forceton Banfodder

Yeah, I’d totally rather have some young fop doing my surgery instead. Young people are so wise and experienced in life and surgery and have the best judgment making skills.

      That was sarcasm btw.

  • pwnez

    D*mn, that cast is huge.

    • Scott Dorian Dancer

i was thinking the same thing. look at that big obnoxious cast.

    • Forceton Banfodder

That kn0b on his elbow was freakshow worthy too

      • Forceton Banfodder

Seriously SEScoops? Kn0b is a censored?

        • http://twitter.com/JamieEvsxx JamieEvsxx

I’m guessing kn0b is censored because it’s another word for penis…but nonetheless this censored setting is ridiculous!…xS

          • Forceton Banfodder

Yeah, but penis is just fine to say. smh… Somebody’s priorities are out of whack.

          • http://twitter.com/JamieEvsxx JamieEvsxx

yeah…you can get away with saying vagina too and twats (but remove the S and it’s “MODERATION MOTHER FUDGER!”)…it is incredibly annoying and personally I think the setting should just be turned off so we’re free to curse!…xD

          • Forceton Banfodder

Too many butthurts probably cried to moderators over F-bombs and blasphemies. Seriously, what is wrong with the world today? What happened to the ol’ sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me?

          • http://twitter.com/JamieEvsxx JamieEvsxx

the world’s population became a bunch of pussays and now words hurt them more than that kick Ziggler took from Swagger, poor b@$t@rd…xD…and I was just going to ask why I keep getting 2 different comments from you lol…xD

          • Deleted_Account

So politically incorrect, Jamie did you turn heel? Good job!

          • http://twitter.com/JamieEvsxx JamieEvsxx

I was heel a long time ago babe…;D…(skips away)

          • Guest

What ever happened to the ol’ ‘sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me’ motto?

          • Forceton Banfodder

lol, comments not appearing, then showing up again. retarded.

          • G.I.R.L.

            Retarded isn’t censored? Lol

          • Forceton Banfodder

Oddly, no. But any other form of the word is. As is kn0b.

          • G.I.R.L.

            Retarded isn’t censored? Lol

          • Forceton Banfodder

            But we can say penis?

        • GodsLoyalSon

They should only censor racial and religious slurs. Things like profanity and sexual explicit language are the fabric of what makes America great.

          • Forceton Banfodder

Too bad the Internet isn’t America.

          • GodsLoyalSon

Yeah, but at least most of us know that it was disrespectful to him to cheer when he said he was leaving. I was always taught that when a person earns respect, it should be issued regardless of person views. He should have gotten a standing ovation for just putting Bryan over

          • Forceton Banfodder

I think you got comments mixed up.

    • raven

especially when you think of how big cena really is..wow

    • GodsLoyalSon

God knows how big the injury must have been to need that much tape.

      • Seth Bob

        God doesn’t know anything.

        • Dyson

Ah, shut up with that sh*t already dude. Nobody gives a damn how atheist you are. I remember seeing you argue about it with some other guy before on here. Back and forth.. back and forth, like a silly clown. Don’t expect that from me, since I’ve got nothing else to say to you after this. I’ve said what I needed to. Humble your a** Bob, and drop the pretentiousness… as it is a disgusting trait. You aren’t better than anybody else on here, period.

          • alontrae walker

That’s right Dyson, but don’t worry the man needs help.

          • G.I.R.L.

Don’t attack him for being atheist.

          • alontrae walker

The fact is he needs to keep his religion to himself because not all people are atheist, that comment offended me and I believe in God

          • G.I.R.L.

And what if believing in God offended him? Don’t be hypocritical. He didn’t attack GodsLoyalSon, he wrote that God knows nothing. You, however, attacked him for writing what he believed in which is the exact same thing GodsLoyalSon did (in writing what he believed in).

          • alontrae walker

You know what Im not arguing over religions, waste of time. Bottom line is your right he wrote what he believed in and I wrote what I believed in. End of story, lets move on not trying to start a world war on the internet LOL

          • G.I.R.L.

            Lol preferable. :-)

          • GodsLoyalSon

Ok, because I respect you as a person that has knowledge I will address you appropriately. Seth Bob is a typical internet atheist buffoon that knows nothing about what my beliefs stand for other than blatant bashing of ones beliefs told him by others that know very little. He claims that because he has reached this “age of reason” that it has made him “smarter”. So him choosing to respond to a comment that has nothing to do with his choice of religion is on him. I had a 3 day argument with him that resulted in him showing his immaturity towards a persons faith and his extreme lack of knowledge on a persons faith. Dyson addressed him simply because the guy is an instigator that enjoys conflict along. Now me, I already proved to him that I am smarter then him so conflict with a parasite is beneath me. Also why should it offend him when he says that there is no God? Infact why should it even offend an atheist at all?

          • G.I.R.L.

Don’t attack him for being atheist.

          • Seth Bob

            Lol!

          • Seth Bob

            Lol!

          • GodsLoyalSon

Bro, you don’t know the half of it; this kid really does believe that he is better than a believer because he “claims” that he hit the age of reason. He’s just a punk that knows very little on the world he looks at from a distance

        • alontrae walker

          Are you sick?

          • Seth Bob

            No, I feel fine.

          • alontrae walker

Yeah denile is the first sign of crazyness

          • G.I.R.L.

See, you’re attacking him for not believing in God when he attacked no one.

          • alontrae walker

Actually he said GOD doesn’t know anything, which is attacking the believers in GOD. Just letting him know that when it comes to politics and religion please leave it alone. He may be a good person but I was offended by his comment and apparately so was 7 other people.

          • G.I.R.L.

No, it isn’t. He didn’t attack you. He didn’t type “people who believe in God know nothing” and definitely didn’t personally insult anyone. If you or others can write why you like God then he can write why he doesn’t. There should not be any mudslinging at a poster’s person just because of what they believe. He didn’t attack any of you. You were in the wrong for being invested in his belief and insulting him as a result.

          • yrabadi

            Kneel before G.I.R.L.

          • Seth Bob

Nice spelling and grammar. Cm Punk would be disappointed.

          • Seth Bob

            No, I feel fine.

        • GodsLoyalSon

Dude, you had the chance to prove me wrong and you failed like a typical atheist would. Also what makes you think that God knows nothing? Does that mean that you believe a God exist for that to be true?

          • Seth Bob

            Lol.

          • GodsLoyalSon

Thank you for staying the pathetic sack of crap you proudly display for my own amusement. Your mother must be disappointed for having you as her child

          • Seth Bob

            LMAO

          • GodsLoyalSon

            Still pathetic

          • Seth Bob

            Still hilarious

  • SOBI

  • Forceton Banfodder

Crowd was dicks when he left. I don’t wish any ill on the man, I just want WWE to change up his gimmick so he isn’t so stale.

    • Pozessed

I agree, I was thinking “Geesh, fair enough you don’t like the guys character but come one, he is getting emotional about leaving a job he loves to do.”

    • pwnez

No matter what Cena does or goes through, fans will never respect him. It’s sad because most of the reasons as to why they hate him so much are pretty horrible reasons.

      • Forceton Banfodder

Yeah, sadly, most fans can’t distinguish from reality and fiction. John Cena the wrestler and John Cena the man are the same person in their eyes. I’m telling you, read the comments on WWE’s site, its crazy how many people believe everything they’re fed.

        • G.I.R.L.

Omg I had to enlighten this to pwnez the other day.

          • Forceton Banfodder

What, the crazy that lives on WWE’s site?

          • G.I.R.L.

No, that most fans can’t distinguish between reality and fiction in regards to wrestling.

          • Forceton Banfodder

Oh you see it here all the time. But for a real good time go to WWE and read the comments from crazy irate fans who can’t believe Cena lost or this or that. Seriously crazy folks. Probably the same ones who Tout in hopes to get on TV.

          • pwnez

You didn’t enlighten anything to me lol. I already knew this. I think you missed the point I was making.

          • G.I.R.L.

That people who believed such were stupid? No, I realized that and I agree.

      • Andrew Campbell

A lot of reasons for not liking him are valid. But in terms of career longevity, you must have a small degree of respect for him.

        • pwnez

Many aren’t valid at all. 5 moves of doom, buries everyone, can’t wrestle, the whole divorce thing (which people can’t get over even though it never effected them personally,) bad mic skills (which isn’t true.) It’s like i’ve always said, a ton of unnecessary hate.

          • Andrew Campbell

Bad mic skills is valid argument because it’s true. Of course that wasn’t always the case. Once upon a time he was very good on the mic, nowadays not so much. His promos today vary from random rambling to slow-talking, robotic promos, to constant repetition “The Champ is Here, The champ is here”.

But every now and then, he can deliver a decent speech like he did on the Summerslam go-home show last week.

          • Forceton Banfodder

That’s not bad mic skills, that’s bad writing. He has no control over what the powers that be are going to make him say. I’m sure he would love to let rip like CM Punk on occasion but he’s the #1 guy in WWE, he can’t do what he wants, he’s their poster boy so he’s confined to do what he’s told to do, if he likes it or not.

          • pwnez

Exactly and lets be fair, he has cut some great promos when the time calls for it. Like I said in my other comment, his target audience is not adults ages 25 and up, it’s mainly younger kids so that’s who he is going to mainly address and entertain.

          • Andrew Campbell

I don’t think anyone is making Cena say anything. Punk and Cena are the two stars on the roster that have the power to approve or have a degree of creative control over what they say, as long as they get the main messege of the story across. I agree Punk probably has less restrictions because he’s not a squeaky clean babyface like Cena, but no one is telling Cena to deliver a promo a certain way. According to Orton, a lot of what Cena says is from his own head.

          • Forceton Banfodder

You’re kidding right? Cena would be skewered if he said something that wasn’t PG for the kids. That’s his demographic, he’s supposed to be their ideal.

In fact he was. During that Rock/Cena build up, Cena said a few things that weren’t “PC” and he was torn a new a$$ by gay rights groups, media outlets, Mattel, etc… He really does have a leash on him, regardless if it’s scripted or not, he can’t say what he wants off the cuff without repercussions. If the Rock said something it was shrugged off, but Cena didn’t have that same courtesy.

          • Andrew Campbell

I already said in my previous comment that Cena has more restrictions on him. You don’t necessarily have to be R-rated or PG-14 to be good on the mic.

Cena’s main problem is that he’s been on top far too long and as a result he has just lost his creativity and interest or motivation in what he’s doing.

          • Forceton Banfodder

I think he’s way more restricted then you give him credit for, but I won’t argue that he’s been on top too long. I’ve already stated (last year?) that he reminds me of Hogan in 91-93, Catchphrase central, “Whatchoo going to do when these 22 inch Pythons come down on you brother, eat your vitamins,” etc… Cena’s not much better with his “Champ is here and Our Time is Now” being repeated over and over. Any change in his character would be good for him and the audience.

          • Andrew Campbell

I don’t think his character will be changing anytime soon. WWE has a formula they like and they will stick to it. The best thing we can hope for is that a new star will come along and become the focal point of WWE. Hopefully Bryan will be that guy.

          • pwnez

So WWE didn’t make Cena talk about breast cancer awareness? He did that all on his own? Bullsh*t. Every wrestler is told to say certain things or to at least mention them in some way, shape or form. It’s there job to do there best to get it over.

It’s not that CM Punk has less restrictions, it’s that he really doesn’t care what happens to him. He is a guy who is brutally honest. WWE has expressed anger with him several times for being out of line.

          • Andrew Campbell

I’m the one that has constantly told you and others in the past that the charity stuff is fed to Cena to say by WWE, and I have been constantly scolded for it. Of course that stuff is coming from WWE, as I’ve told you many times. His actual wrestling promos though, on the other hand, is the thing Cena DOES have control over. Haven’t you heard that before scripts can be finalized, the writers must go to Punk and Cena first so they can approve their own promos/segments?

If you read any of my comments above you would know that I already said that the wrestlers are given key things to mention. Of course guys like Punk and Cena would be given key points relevant to their storylines that they need to get across but how they deliver it is upto them. Even if his stuff is completely scripted for him, there is nothing stopping Cena from messing with it or delivering it a certain way. His delivery is just terrible. How you can call Cena a good talker just because he doesn’t slur his words. Following your logic Triple H and Randy Orton are “good talkers”.

          • pwnez

Cena is a very good talker. He never slurs his words, he knows how to get the crowd hyped up whether it’s them cheering or booing him and although we may not like it at times he can go from comical to serious. Define rambling because if you mean that he goes on about the same pointless stuff that can be said about many other wrestlers including Rock, HHH, Austin etc.

The problem with Cena is that he panders to younger kids who are his target audience so it’s understandable that fans like us wouldn’t really dig his promos. That doesn’t mean he can’t talk. Cena is easily one of the best talkers in WWE.

          • Andrew Campbell

Even you have said in the past that Cena comes off as corny when he tries to be serious, so don’t backtrack on your comments nowlol. And getting the crowd hyped?? Is that why the crowds have been lifeless during his promos over the past few months. And let’s not forget the boring chants.

If Cena is “easily one of the best talkers in WWE”, then so is your buddy Sheamus.

          • Forceton Banfodder

Sheamus still f’s up lines when he’s trying to tell a joke. It’s obviously he’s not totally comfortable in front of a crowd yet.

          • Andrew Campbell

I still have nightmares of Sheamus’ cringe-worthy segment with Punk live on RAW when he forgot his lines and started stuttering.

          • Forceton Banfodder

Sheamus still f’s up lines when he’s trying to tell a joke. It’s obviously he’s not totally comfortable in front of a crowd yet.

          • pwnez

Did you not read what I said? “Although we may not like it at times he can go from comical to serious. The problem with Cena is that he panders to younger kids who are his target audience so it’s understandable that fans like us wouldn’t really dig his promos.”

I’m not backtracking anything I said, but just because we don’t enjoy every one of his promos doesn’t make him a horrible talker. We know what he is capable of. As for the crowd being “lifeless,” is that a joke or is your TV on mute? I’ll repeat myself once more, whether he gets cheered or boo’d he gets a big time reaction.

The difference between Sheamus is that he actually doesn’t get any pop from the crowd whatsoever and can you name one memorable promo of his? Now you’re just coming off as a typical Cena hater who will stop and nothing to not give him any credit.

          • Andrew Campbell

I’ve given Cena plenty of credit over the past week for his handling of the Darren Young situation and him putting over Bryan clean at SummerSlam. You must have been watching Raw on fast-forward for the past few months, because the crowd has been dead during Cena’s segments lately, except for his MizTV segment with Bryan.

Not a Cena hater, I’m just not being a hypocrite. I’ve been very critical of Cena, so I’m not going to backpedal on my comments about him just because he became injured.

You want to talk about haters? You’re one of the biggest haters on here, especially when it comes to Sheamus. I don’t like Sheamus either, but you don’t give him a shred of credit even when he puts on a solid match from time to time. He and Cena are equally as corny, yet here you are singing Cena’s praises.

          • pwnez

You never give the guy credit. The most you will say is that he works hard and even when you say that you have to add some type on insult in there. Well then I guess you and I are hearing different things because I always hear someone either cheering for Cena or booing him.

You’re not being a hypocrite? Anytime someone says one, just one negative thing about the Rock you throw a fit. You have no problem drilling Cena but if someone decides to say a few things about the Rock then it’s a huge problem.

I don’t hate Sheamus and i’ve said before that I enjoyed him when he was a heel. You and I both know i’ve said this. I dislike him as a face because he cannot work the mic, his character is very stale and he tries too hard to be PG. My opinion has changed about his in-ring ability. He can work a decent match if he’s with the right wrestler. I just proved you wrong on everything you just said.

          • Andrew Campbell

You haven’t proved me wrong on anything. Cena will always get credit from me when it’s earned, I don’t just hand out respect or praise to anyone. I don’t hate John Cena the person and I was one of his biggest fans in my early teens. When it comes to Rock, I will always defend him when he’s being criticized for stupid reasons by people who are only hating on him because it’s seen as the “cool thing to do”. I’m not a bandwagoner or sheep that goes along with the popular opinion of the internet masses. And before you say anything, I was bored of Cena long before the negative reactions and boos etc.

As I said, you can’t have been watching Raw very closely lately. The imaginary big time reactions you’re claiming Cena gets are purely that, imaginary. His matches are a different story. Of course, you’ll hear the usual loud boos and “lets go cena, cena sucks” chants in his matches, but nine times out of ten during his segments he doesn’t get a loud response. There may be a few faint cheers heard in the background from his target demo, but there aren’t any “big time reactions” as you claim and there haven’t been in a while if you exclude the MizTV segment.

    • Stew-ED!

The thing is these ‘fans’ are most probably the ones who haven’t even been in a Wrestling Ring ever. Very disrespectful and embarrassing attitude. I’m not a big fan of Cena at all, but you gotta respect him for what he has done.

      • Andrew Campbell

It did get a laugh out of me, but it was a little harsh. I respect him for taking a clean loss to Bryan at SummerSlam. Not many stars can say they beat Cena clean.

        • alontrae walker

Actually they can. But I don’t see how you could laugh. But wasn’t the crowd cheering for Cena to come out and help Daniel or was it just my ears. I mean you cheer the man saying he is leaving but calls him for help.

          • Andrew Campbell

Not many people have beaten Cena clean at all, except Rock, Bryan and an elite few. Throughout his run as the face of the company Cena has rarely lost without some kind of controversial finish to the match. For example, when he lost to Punk at MITB 2011, it was due to outside interference so it wasn’t clean. There are an endless amount of examples I could give.

Bryan beating Cena the way he did was a huge thing.

      • the lime candle

yeah i agree with you. cena did a lot for the fans raising money for breast cancer and granting child’s wishes every time he got injured he returned less than 100% to show that he never gonna give up and returned for all his fans like me.and these fans they’re just acting like he’s an entertainer and that’s it they don’t care about what he does outside of the ring. they’re too stupid to realize it now and they’re gonna realize when they finally miss cena.
The thing is that i believe that if cena wasn’t injured wwe would make cena the winner because i know that cena kicked out after he was hit with moves heavier than that and that’s obvious he can beat daniel bryan and that loss was on purpose.
and i think he should best return at tribute to the troops and finally turn heel if it happens then he really should take on the undertaker and beat the streak. everybody’s tired of this face period of cena

        • Stew-ED!

Bryan deserved the win as he is more over than Cena. WWE made the right decision there. I’m not going to miss Cena really because he is stale regarding his character, a heel turn will make things better but it’s the character that matters the most. I highly doubt that Cena would turn heel because WWE are highly dependent on him being the face of the company and he is big with the kids.

    • raven

people cheered because he was taking a break. we are sick of seeing him. nothing wrong with that. nobody cheered because he was injured they cheered because we get a break

      • Forceton Banfodder

Yeah, they cheered when he was trying to give a farewell address. That’s like a giant middle finger to him.

        • raven

it wasn’t a farewell though. well cena does an actual farewell he will get a huge standing ovation and “thank you cena” will ring out. this is a break and a much needed break for both sides.

          • Forceton Banfodder

You can try to reason for the rudeness all you want. It was tacky and disrespectful to a guy who’s worked through injury after injury and busted his a$$ for the fans and haters alike. Like him or not, he’s bled for those fans and those fans were disrespectful.

          • rbbazza

Talking of injuries to cena, did he not work the night on raw after breaking his upper back against batista and think of how much he likes the wwe, because he could have gone down the same road as the rock and work the movies and become richer than the rock but he loves what he loves. As of his return look at how many months off he said he may be out and look at the ppv list because i think we all know the time he will be back 2014 Royal Rumble

No, they didn’t cheer when he said that we are getting a break, they cheered when he said that he was leaving the WWE. Besides, they should have instead chanted “Thank You Cena” because they man had a major injury two weeks before hand and still choose to put Bryan over twice.

        Agreed witcha.

    • GodsLoyalSon

The good thing though was that everyone in the audience didn’t join and I’m sure that most of the people next to those that cheered made them stop. I expect that from a Philly crowd though, not a city that doesn’t even have a good sports franchise anymore

i felt bad cena got that reaction. after summerslam he deserved a better sendoff but it’s nice that he will be gone for a while. no ill will to cena but we could all use a break. we’ve cenanuff. (yeah i went there)

      • Forceton Banfodder

I think we can all agree (including Cena) that we need a break from him. Cena’s been touring non-stop for years now (it seems like) with little to no time off. It will do him good to take some time off and it will do the fans good for the time.

          exactly

Get well soon John. Enjoy your time off and don’t rush the healing process.

  • Reality

Now that we have Bryan as the new big babyface, Cena can change his gimmick a bit. Not necessarily a heel turn, but well, he really needs to change. Hope this is the opportunity.

  • G.I.R.L.

His character sucks but dang does the man look great.

    • Forceton Banfodder

      You confound me.

          • G.I.R.L.

Yeah but he looks pretty good in this pic minus the cast.

Dr. James Andrews must be so rich. He has operated on how many athletes? He is getting up there in age from the looks of it. Who is gonna step in to his shoes when he finally retires?

  • Oliver_Twisted

How rich is James Andrews? Gotta be loaded, right? The number of athletes this cat has operated on is staggering.

    • Bushwald Sexyface

Supposedly, he is only worth 10 million.

      • Oliver_Twisted

Yeah I just checked on celebrity net worth. That’s crazy low.

  • Bushwald Sexyface

Get well soon Johnathan, we’re praying for you man. Jeez, it seems like just yesterday I was watching you run circles around guys in you early days and now look where we are. 13 championships later. Johnathan, I’ll be the first to say that you sir are THE greatest WRESTLER to ever step foot in a WRESTLING ring. And I am sure many people around the whole WORLD agree with me. I just wish I could feel your biceps on my cheek, so warm, so gentle, so soft. *sighs* Like Charmin tissue…
