rock-cena

- tweeted the following message (and video) for late Friday night:

– Ireland’s No Limit Wrestling has announced their wrestlers Joey Cabray (who wrestles in a demon mask as Omen) and Rachelle St. Claire have signed developmental deals with WWE.

– Here is the official cover art for WWE’s upcoming “Best of In Your House” DVD/Blu-Ray set, due out April 30th. Pre-Order Here

Lol Mr Helmsley on the cover is completely unecessary. This cover makes me wanna go back and watch the Steve Austin vs Bret Hart feud.

    • WCWPunk

Is what happens when you’re married to the boss’s daughter. Perks, points, and privileges :O

    • felixrt

Erm, he’s one of the company’s biggest stars. There was a PPV called IYH: DX, which, you know, is a stable that features “Mr Helmsley”. He had an IC title match with The Rock at an IYH PPV in 1998. Him being on there is perfectly understandable.

      • Reality

ok… I know you’re a big HHH fan, but he didn’t define IYH for me.

  • Y2J

Not that I wanted to see this rematch, but I liked it better when these two hated each other.

  • CM

remember when there was not twitter?? good times

    • Guest

    • Mavrik

Maybe someday….there will be good times after all

Hell, no internet! My childhood started off great without it.

Cena, Work on your wrestling skills. Not your body all the time. He actually almost snapped some shit up tho lol.

    • Keith

John Cena’s wrestling is actually average dude. It’s not really as bad as most claim it to be, and he’s not the first top WWE guy to have a limited set. He’s a power wrestler with limited technical ability. Just like Austin was a brawler when he became top guy in WWE then switched to strategy and technician towards the latter of his career in ’01-’02, The Rock was mostly a striker, Undertaker is power, strategic striker, and technician, Triple H was both power and technician etc…. etc… Everybody has their own unique style as it should be.

  • WCWPunk

Your Time is up, my Time is Now. You can’t see Me, my Time is Now. It’s the Franchise, boy I’m Shining now. You Can’t See Me, My Time is Now.

    Rock vs Cena 2…..yaaaaawnn boring

  • WWEFan4Life

John, don’t get too cocky again… look what happened last time….

  • DarkWolf

Vince will NEVER let John Cena lose twice in one year and even if it is against The Rock so I’m like 99.999999999999999999999999999999% sure that John Cena will beat The Rick at wrestlemania and at the end of the PPV there’s going to be a lot of pissed off fans including myself. This Wrestlemania is going to suck big time.

    • cenasucks

Boring? The fact that Pink/Taker is on on Y2J might face Ziggler is enough for me to watch Mania. I never honestly cared about Rock vs Cena. Not even last year.

    • Bryce

If anyone is guessing who “the Rick” is, he’s Rock’s stunt double that will be the one taking the pinfall at WM.

      • sincaramystic

I liked the names The Rick, and CM Pink, provided by the above posters. I’m hoping to see The Rick vs Pink one more time, perhaps with Juan Cino as the referee.

        • WCWPunk

          LOL!!!!!!!!!

        • Progress_Now

and Santina as the “round” girl with a hairy chest

    • riphawk592

Why be mad I mean the rock is not a main piece of the roster and neither is Jericho nor is lesnar so I don’t see the reason to be mad about cena beating the rock

    • Bevo

If Cena wins people should just turn off their television set when John Cena says or does things they dislike whenever he’s on TV….or if they’re not interested in what he’s saying or doing they shouldn’t have to watch

Why will it suck? Because your favorite Hollywood actor who hasn’t wrestled full time in 8 years and has more rust on him than the robot from Lost In Space won’t win? Because your buddy, The Rock, the guy who quit wrestling and gave up on it finally returned after he realized he’s a joke in Hollywood due to his stupid decisions to work for Disney, is going to lose? Or is it going to suck because Cena will finally be proven right? That hard work and showing up every day does matter? That acting like a MAN and working at your job even when you don’t like it will pay off? That running away from your job because “it’s too hard” and hoping that if you’re a big enough Mickey Mouse kiss ass you can be successful is the stupidest thing on the planet that you can do if you want to impress REAL men???? Why will it suck? Because your hero The Rock is going to lose?

If I may…..IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU THINK IT WILL SUCK!!!

The Rock is going to lose at Wrestlemania BECAUSE he sucks!

      WORD LIFE!

  • 7 year old boy

    HEHEHEHEH Oh Cena <3

  • DigitalWWE

I hope The Rock wins again just because it will be hilarious to see what they do with John Cena after losing to the Rock twice in a row.

    • SolomonGrundy

Actually I hope Cena wins because before that 50% of the crowd hated him after he wins 90%+ are going to hate him which will force WWE to do something about it.

      • DigitalWWE

If you honestly think that then you haven’t been watching very long

      • Bushwald Sexyface

Uh, 90% of the crowd already hates him. The only reason you think it’s 50% is because women and children can generally scream louder than grown men. Ask pwnez.

        • Douglas APP

I’ve noticed that more females watching WWE are booing John Cena and so are the kids. Because even they’re getting extremely tired of and have seen enough of him already! Besides, people definitely miss being able to have good times. At this point, no one gets to do that anymore….UNFORTUNATELY.

Except for John Cena. Because no matter how badly he behaves or what he says or does to treat people badly he gets away with it. Is it any wonder that WWE sucks as horribly awful as it currently does?

Answer: No it isn’t any wonder that WWE sucks so badly right now.

What are WWE supposed to do about it since it usually occurs that John Cena is allowed to win no matter who is offended or disrespected by it. Who are they going to have get into WWE that’s going to be allowed to face against him in matches that people will cheer for that person when the person goes into the ring against him to fight?

    • WCWPunk

With The Rock agreeing to work post Wrestlemania appearances, including The Extreme Rules has me curious thinking that The Rock will will at WM and lose the WWE Championship to John Cena at ER

      • Bushwald Sexyface

I see Rock winning at WM and that being what turns Cena heel. Heel Cena will then beat Rock at ER since Rock is likely feuding with Lesnar for SS.

        • WWEFan4Life

I see Cena winning at WM more than the rock, certainly not that I want him to. The reason I think this is that when Cena won the Raw MITB match he lost after cashing in the briefcase. Now, Cena has won the RR match and WWE, IMO, will not let Cena lose 2 matches like that because WWE are so far up Cenas ass, they’ll see what he has for breakfast

        • mr meow

          that’s some fancy wishful thinking

      • Darren

As much as I would would to see this, sadly it’s just not happening. More likely, Cena wins at Wrestlemania and they have the rubber match at ER, with Crna winning that too. Then, Rock goes back to Hollywood for a bit, before returning for his feud with Lesnar.

      • WCWPunk

As much as the IWC has been hopeful for a Cena heel turn for the past few years, it’s just not happening. He simply brings in too much revenue for WWE. And Darren, good post. I like it. But now this ties into the scenario of who’s willing to lose twice in a row, Will it be Cena back to back years, or Rock back to back months. Hmmmm. One interesting observation is Rock losing at WM, gets his rematch against Cena at ER,… (referee gets knocked unconscious) “Spinebuster on Cena! The Rock is setting up the People’s elbow,.. WAIT, WHAT’S LESNAR DOING HERE *CLOTHESLINE*,.. *F5* Cena goes for the cover, One,.. Two,…. THREE The winner and WWE Champion, John Cena

If WWE is going the direction of making Cena as serious as possible and not screwing around with jokes about Fruity Pebbles or whatever, I could get to really like this version of Cena. His promo on Raw where he stated he was just giving The Rock a heads up that he wasn’t screwing around this time and now this video as well, makes him come across far less corny and makes the WWE title seem even more important.

Good job on Cena. THIS is far more entertaining than what we’ve seen the last few years from him. The “CeNation” or whatever you want to refer to your fans as, doesn’t need a superhero. They need someone who doesn’t tolerate crap like a part time guy coming back from and 8 year absence and being just given a title shot. They need someone who doesn’t tolerate someone else bullying their way in after that specifically stated that they QUIT wrestling, in real life, not a script, and taking the spotlight once again. THAT is the Cena they need.

And honestly, THAT is the Cena I think The Rock wants to see. He wants to see Cena man up and rise to the level that he has, and I think we finally are seeing small glimpses of what The Rock is trying to bring out of Cena. For the first time in Cena’s career I think we’re finally witnessing him grow up a little and ACT LIKE A MAN.

We as fans have to remember that we see these wrestler’s careers progress over time. We watch meticulously for YEARS, and like any job you simply aren’t going to be as good at first, and that includes being a professional wrestler. I think this second time around with The Rock is exactly what Cena needed to progress further as a sports entertainer. And if he wins at Mania, if he keeps up with this no nonsense attitude and stays away from acting like a goofball, it may very well finally push Cena from being just another WWE main eventer to a legitimate celebrity like Austin, Hogan, and The Rock have done. Make no mistake, it’s not just hype, this match IS the biggest match of Cena’s career thus far and the most important thus far. This is an opportunity for him to move out of the shadow of guys like Rock, Austin, and Hogan and into his own to where he’s respected. And considering it’s taken him so long to get to this point, it’s highly possible that it may be his last chance to be viewed as a legitimate champion of champions instead of a someone who just happened to be there to fill the void. Names like Hogan, Stone Cold, The Rock, when people think of wrestling those are the names they think of. Cena has done well for himself but this is his chance to make his name synonymous with wrestling like those guys. It IS the most important match of his life. And Vince decides the winner…

I’m putting my money on Cena.
