John Morrison Returning To WWE This Year?, Helms Online Show

– The latest issue of Power Slam reports John Hennigan (a/k/a John Morrison) has hinted to friends that he will return to WWE later this year. The former WWE Superstar stated during an interview with Poughkeepsie Journal last month that “the door is open” for him to return to the organization.

“I left on really good terms with everybody and what I wanted to do was take time off to heal, get refreshed and take a little vacation. Shows like this are a fun show and a way to keep sharp. I really like wrestling. That’s why I do it,” Hennigan said of his match against Finlay for Northeast Wrestling. “I was working a 250-plus day a year schedule and I wanted to be refreshed. Right before I left, I felt like I was going to work. I wasn’t enjoying it as much as when I started. I’m excited to come to Poughkeepsie and do all this stuff. That’s the kind of attitude you need to have in sports entertainment.”

– Shane Helms’ online show Highway 2 Helms airs tonight at 6:00 p.m. at GeekWeek.com. This will be his first time doing the show since his involvement in a motorbike accident in North Carolina last May.

– Maryse Ouellet will appear at the Philadelphia Comic Con on Sunday, June 3. The event takes place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center 1101 Arch St. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

        I agree that Melina is a damn good wrestler, but that has nothing to do w/ being a “hard case” and influencing her boyfriend to ruin his career by not working w/ somebody accused of “stealing spots” from his beau.
        My colorful comment is about Melina’s character not her ability.  I still believe he would’ve been a WWE champ had it not been for the WM snub.  It effectively brought into question that if they put him on the top, would he throw his weight around?

        It seems like you’re a Melina mark as you seem to believe that “the spot” in question was hers, but get real.  People get bumped up, down, or buried all the time and despite that, if she/he can’t be professional then you’ll have to take your ball and go home.
        SCSA had to do the same thing when he refused to job to Brock Lesnar on a Raw and even though that situation is different from this, SCSA is a much bigger draw than Melina or JoMo.  So if they weren’t going to keep him after his creative differences than it stands to logic that nobody is safe.

    Guess that explains why the John Morrison  WWE Universe Profile is still up. Usually if a Superstar is done completely WWE deactivates the account. They done it with Maryse who moved forward, but not Michelle Mccool, makes you wonder.

        The Miz had good mic skills, Morrison didn’t. To really succeed in WWE you need to be able to cut a decent promo. Morrison had athletic ability, but beyond that he didn’t really have anything else.

        The guy entered the WWE around the same time as, or maybe just before, Randy Orton and John Cena entered the WWE and look where they are. Even after 3 gimmick/name changes Morrison’s career still hasn’t gone anywhere.

          actually when they Broke up Morrison was thought to be the better of the two even on promos. however when he turned babyface they turned him into something that wasn’t what his character was before that. For god sakes on the dirt sheet the guy was a walking Meme.

          Also Morrison join after Randy Orton and Cena seeing he was part of the first season of tough enough. plus he was going somewhere and was on the verge of the main event before he got buried six feet under.

            Morrison was actually part of the 3rd season of Tough Enough.  He co-won with a guy named matt something who I’m not sure where that guy is, but he would’ve probably been champ if it wasn’t for “his” WM moment with Trish.

          actually you can because later on that ECW devloped it’s own identiy and quite frankly the WWE was better off with the show considering some of the lesser known guys actually got exposer.

            I agree that it was its own show but the point I was trying to get across was that WWE’s ECW wasnt ECW and that it should have been named accordingly. The other point I wanted to get across was that John Morrison got his fame as a part of MNM not on ECW and Punk got his fame on the indies (mainly ROH) so to call them ECW guys would be like calling Matt Hardy an ECW guy.

      He isn’t a great wrestler, but he is decent on the mic, he was pretty with the Miz and Drew, this guy has the entertainment factor in him, I love those high risk moves he did and the backstage parkour promos.

    You can always tell who wants to come back and who doesn’t when they leave.  Morrison never said a nasty thing about anyone in WWE when he left (unlike Melina).   Shelton Benjamin and MVP I believe will return soon or later too, as they have also been very careful not to burn bridges when talking about their former employers.

      i’d like to see mvp back. couldn’t care less about benjamin. his run with haas as twgtt was fine, but after that it was downhill. and the revival of the team sucked. so did his ‘momma’ gimmick.

        One of the best matches I’ve ever seen at a live smackdown event was Benjamin vs. MVP back when they were feuding.  It was easily the best match of the night.  I wouldn’t mind seeing him comeback, I’m just hoping he’s developing some character while he’s in ROH.
