Kingston Recalls Being Bullied At School, Cornette Thanks Punk

– The Sydney Morning Herald has an article on Kofi Kingston, who recalls being a victim of bullying when he was a child.

“When I went to school I was definitely bullied,” Kingston told the children who are part of Underdogs, a Sydney, Australia based anti-bullying support group. “I wasn’t the biggest guy, I grew up in a town [in America] that was affluent – a lot of people had a lot – and while my family wasn’t what you’d call not well off, we didn’t have what others had.

“So, it was tough. For me, growing up was just a matter of dealing with it. You’d try to fight it but there were some days I didn’t want to go to school and come across certain people because I didn’t want the conflict.”

    It’s the truth though lol. ROH and NJPW have much better wrestling than WWE and TNA. Again, ROH and NJPW has better WRESTLING, i’m not saying they have stupid entertainment because they don’t. Punk should be in ROH, so he can show off his talent and put on some good matches.

    @Godstime007: What are you trying to say? Are you trying to say that ROH is crap & that it sucks? Because if you are than you must be talking about WWE. WWE is CRAP & it SUCKS. ROH delivers great stuff on a regular basis while WWE delivers great stuff rarely. CM Punk’s promo was one of those very rare occasions.

    @MizfitZer0. Are you kidding me? You obviously have never seen Davey Richards and Roderick Strong wrestle before. They actually know how to mat wrestle, can do holds properly, unlike alot of guys in WWE. That’s not saying no one in WWE is good because that’s not true. Yes, guys in ROH do kicks and sometimes they do flips from the top rope, but unlike Morrison and Bourne, they do it with reason and with proper coodination. To be realistic, alot of guys in WWE are vanilla (Mason Ryan/Miz anyone?) and can’t wrestle. I could name a ton of guys from ROH, NJPW and DGUSA who can actually wrestle. It seems like that’s every indy haters comeback when someone says ROH has better wrestling; all ROH guys do is flips which is total BS.

    I lol that you try to troll me by saying Miz is vanilla, knowing I’m an obvious Miz fan.
    Next to CM Punk, Miz is the best talker the WWE has right now. He may not be an amazing in ring technician, but guys like The Rock & Stone Cold were never the best WRESTLERS. they can tell a story without doing a single move, a very rare trait that very few guys accept for The Miz can do in this era of WWE.

    I’m sorry, but I don’t “troll” like alot of others do for the hell of it. I said it because it’s true. The guy has good mic skills, but that’s about it for him. Yes, talk,er but since when does that make you a good wrestler/performer in the ring? You’re very right about that; the Rock and Austin aren’t the greatest wrestlers of all time and neither is HBK (bring on the hate!) I always found Austin to be better though in terms of wrestling, before he broke his neck of course, and his mic skills were also very good. WWE’s style of wrestling is storytelling since it’s entertainment. If you look at ROH though, their really is no storytelling and they don’t need to. They can shoot on the mic or whatever, but they can back everything up in the ring. To say all they do is flips is very invalid though. It’s either “They only do flips and kicks,” or “It’s indy wrestling, so it automatically sucks,” which also doesn’t make sense. Some prefer wrestling entertainment as opposed to pure catch wrestling or mat wrestling which is fine, but it doesn’t mean the other one sucks. I do believe alot of ROH guys are better or are on the same level as some TNA/WWE guys. To be fair though, ROH guys tend to be overrated by some fans. These fans believe since they are in ROH, they are good no matter what. Homicide isn’t that good, and Rhino isn’t good at all. This applies to a couple others as well.

    Miz is good on the mic and does a good job at trash talking, telling a certain story, but you should be good at the wrestling part too in which he is not. Miz, Mason, Wade, Jinder, and a few others are indeed green and need to improve. Then again, WWE isn’t looking for good wrestlers, they just want guys who look big, or if they aren’t big, can tell a story and are entertaining. I don’t consider WWE to be a major pure-wrestling company and the same goes for TNA.

    @pwnez & ecwroh i didnt see godstime007 comment saying anything about wwe or tna, but you just cant explain whats great about ROH without saying something like stupid like wwe is crap and it sucks or they arent sports entertainment they WRESTLING…pffs. ive watch ROH and love it but what i also understand thats its not going to appeal to everyone. pwnez you still watch wwe programming so i dont think any of your opinions mean crap, because wwe is that what you called it “stupid” sports entertainment and all your doing is contibuting to their ratings they get every monday night so obviously they are doing something right if they are getting your hypocritical a$$ to tune in every monday night to watch their sports entertainment. yes i do agree ROH & NJPW have better wrestling but i watch wwe aswell because some of what they do entertain me aswell, theres no need to bash wwe or tna because some one shows their dislike for ROH, kinda shows your immaturity.

    Didn’t I just say why ROH is good? It’s for the simple reason that it has actual wrestling which is entertaining enough for me. Where in that paragraph I typed did I say “WWE sucks?” If you can find where exactly I said that, go ahead and bash me. I watch WWE still because it does have good wrestler who I enjoy to watch and I do enjoy the storytelling/storylines to an extent. No, it’s not going to appeal to everyone which is why ROH is going to move in the direction of entertainment, and not so much pure-wrestling. Well, everything towards the end of your paragraph is completely invalid since I never said I hated WWE. You’re trying to insert words into what I said, and it’s not working lol. No, their are many reasons to bash WWE and TNA, you’re just trying to act like a hero by calling me out lol. Trust me, kid, you’re not sounding very smart at the moment. Thanks for saying i’m immature because you can really tell that by a wrestling website. Also, you writing back to me the way you did, inserting stuff along the way that isn’t true, shows you’re also immature and is simply looking for trouble.

    FYI, I don’t watch TNA and I haven’t for quite some time now. So much for me “giving them their ratings.” I sometimes watch raw (channel flipping of course) and I haven’t watched a S.D. in months. I youtube it or use a wrestling site which isn’t giving them crap. Again, stop trying to make up invalid points along the way because I can easily go back and say they aren’t true lol.

    @91nos331gt: What I like about ROH & Indy wrestling in general, other than the fact that they focus on giving us great wrestling, is that they give a damn. WWE & TNA only care about making money. They don’t care about giving us a great show each week which is evident by their product. ROH & the Indies give a damn and they do their best to give us a damn good show every time. Also, there is no BS backstage politics like there is WWE & TNA. Anyone can get a shot at being a star in the Indies while in the WWE & TNA only certain people will. Depending on their size & what not. Also, people in WWE & TNA can be misused or not use at all. Just like what Punk was saying in his promo. Basically the point i am trying to get across is that i enjoy watching ROH & the Indies. I don’t enjoy watching WWE. So i have not watch it in months & I have never been happier. Thanks ROH & the Inides. Punk, go back to ROH where you will be appreciated & use correctly. WWE can go frak themselves.

    @Mizfit. I watch parts of raw and I always watch S.D. It may not be on friday nights due to my work schedule, but i’ll watch the entire show online. I also watch WWE Superstars as well. I’m pretty damn sure my points are valid.
