Two Major Heel Turns Discussed For WWE Superstars

- There has been talk of adding an 8-Divas tag team match at WrestleMania 29, which would feature The Bella Twins, Layla and Tamina vs. Kaitlyn, Cameron, Naomi and TV personality Maria Menounos.  Menounos wrestled at last year’s WrestleMania, teaming with Kelly Kelly against Beth Phoenix & Eve Torres.

- WWE Superstar Randy Orton has been pushing WWE management to turn him heel for quite some time now – and it appears that the Viper could finally get his wish at WrestleMania 29. There has been talk of Orton turning on his teammates Sheamus and Big Show at WrestleMania 29 during or after their match against The Shield, who are expected to win the contest.

- Another superstar that could be turning heel is Kofi Kingston. Kofi has been a babyface for his entire WWE career since his debut in 2007, but there’s a feeling that his character needs to be freshened up.

            If treated right, I can see Daniel Bryan as the face of the company when Cena steps out and Punk as the top heel but we know that Vince is always skeptical of that kind of change.

            eddie and benoit were older guys and from wcw on top of that…they didnt outlast hbk and werent in hbk’s league…sure daniel bryan could be a top guy but chances are unless the roster somehow gets worse it wont happen…hes small and cant talk

            If you honestly think that Ziggler and especially Daniel Bryan can’t talk then you are delusional. I never said Punk is over because he can wrestle. His ability to talk is what makes him CM Punk but his in ring ability and the fact that he can put on 4 star matches repeatedly is also why he is still at the top.

            Daniel Bryan is where he is right now because he can do pretty much anything. He can be an extremely over babyface, he can be a top heel, he can be a comedy character. If this was anyone else but Bryan and Kane that would be the end of their career. If WWE said “YOU KNOW WHAT!? We want Daniel Bryan in the world title picture tomorrow.” They could do it and Bryan would fit in perfectly fine like he was world champion yesterday because he is that good.

      Cena I don’t think could pull it off, Hogan shocked everyone when he did and that was huge. But Cena is to baby face to be a heel, he is the company and with Punk being the top heel it would be hard to have two top guys heels that are carrying the company right now..

    To make Kofi Heel he’d need a new theme, gimmick and moves. Pretty much a re-debut of himself. I wonder how it’ll work out. As for Randy Orton, i need the legend killer back. That is all.

      He doesn’t need a new moveset. His moveset is already heel-like just remove the gimmick attached to it and a few cheap tricks maybe a submission finisher along with trouble in paradise. Trouble in Paradise already looks like a cheap heel finisher to me and has for a long time. We’ve already seen Kofi use it like a heel.

      Opponent gets distracted and he decks them in the face with TIP. Just get rid of the Boom Drop and all the Boom Boom shit and you get yourself a heel.

    Some people are talking about turning Cena heel. I’m only gonna say this once: THE WWE WILL NEVER TURN JOHN ANTHONY FELIX CENA INTO A HEEL CHARACTER. Vince knows the character is stale and has become uninteresting, but he’s been their flagship character since the day he decided to become a rap character. Why do you people even like him? You all complain about how much the PG Era sucks, yet you cheer for the man who decided to make the show kids friendly? Hypocrites. Also, Orton’s been a heel before, and did a very good job of it, so it would be nice to see what that would be like again. I also think it would be nice to see a couple of semi-permanent returns.

    Orton will either turn heel or he’ll turn heel when he enters TNA. There’s been quite the talk of him jumping ship to TNA. Dixie Carter said a big star from the WWE will be making his debut in TNA and that he slithers and strikes when the time is right. It’s either Orton or Santino.. but i highly doubt it’s Santino.

    I personally don’t watch TNA. I’ll check out the website to see what’s going on in that organization from time to time but other than that, I don’t follow it. I’m happy for Bully Ray though, a hell of a worker. He has come a long way from his ECW days.

    Kingston turning heel.. Hmmm, i honestly don’t know if it would work. That’s like Ziggler. He’s never been a face. The crowd loves to hate him. The only way I see Ziggler turning heel is if Langston and AJ turn on him and screw him somehow down the road. He seriously needs to cash in on that heavyweight title; like what the hell are the WWE writers waiting for. Ziggler better win those tag belts with Langston and cash in at Mania. Ziggler will be a top dog with his little faction and his double championship gold around him. Del Rio, Much respect for him. As for Swagger, he doesn’t deserve it. Del Rio and Ziggler would be a sweet feud.

    Orton is a natural heel. He’s boring as a face, and Kofi is in dire need of some refreshment. A heel turn would be good for both of them. When it comes to Cena though, WWE is stuck with Cena as a face and a major reason for that is the merch sales, but don’t forget that he remains the top face of the company and there is nobody else that can take that spot from him. Punk is heel right now, but he’s the only person who is even close to Cena’s level of popularity. Until there is a clear cut choice to push as the top face of the company, Cena is going to remain face.

      If cena turned heel, the people who hate him could go back to being his fans again for a while. His t shirts will still sell regardless. I don’t see how merchandise sales will be affected by his heel turn. The only people who are buying Cena’s merchandise as a face are the people who cheer for Cena, which ain’t the other side who chants “Cena sucks.”

    I’m glad The Shield will more than likely win at Wrestlemania, hopefully after the win, they will have more singles matches and become a greater faction then they already are. Also, if the divas match will feature 8 divas, then will it just be Rhodes Scholars vs. Clay and Tensai? Rhodes Scholars need to either have a bigger match, or win that match and then challenge for the tag team titles.
