Mick Foley’s 2014 WWE HOF Picks, Early 2014 WWE PPV Schedule

– Here are the dates and locations of the first 3 WWE pay-per-view events of 2014:

  • 1/26/14: Royal Rumble (Pittsburgh, PA)
  • 2/23/14: Elimination Chamber (Minneapolis, MN)
  • 4/6/14: WrestleMania XXX (New Orleans, LA)

– WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley was asked by a fan on Twitter who he thinks should be inducted next year. Foley listed these names:

Brad Davis

Brad Davis is the editor of SEScoops.com and MMANews.com. He's been hooked on pro wrestling since 1989 and has attended 8 WrestleManias

  • Andrew Campbell

Macho Man has to be a lock for next years HOF. The Rock is long overdue for an induction as well but it’s probably best that they hold off on inducting him until after he’s done wrestling for good.

  • Jake Jeremy

One of those names does not derseve to be inducted, who are the Freebirds anyway……

  • DigitalWWE

Are you kidding me? You don’t know who the Fabulous Freebirds are >_> get out. Two of the freebirds are dead but Micheal Hayes is still alive and can accept the award. The freebirds invented the freebird rule which allowed 3 man stables to all be able to defend the tag team championships even though technically only 2 people were tag team champions. They weren’t fantastic wrestlers individually but together they were entertaining. Go watch The Road Warriors vs The Freebirds.

    • Jake Jeremy

Seriously? It was a bit of sarcasm, every episode of the Legends Roundtable they joke about how Michael Hayes isn’t in yet. It was a Braden Walker joke.

These forums would be better off if there was a font called “Sarcasticism”.

Sarcasm doesn’t translate well over the interwebz

  • Bam Bam

The Fabulous Freebirds were a tag team and they feuded with 4 horse Horsemen the Von Erich’s and many other great tag teams One of the Freebirds are already in the Hall of Fame which is Michael P.S. Hayes. The Freebirds is also the reason there is the Freebird rule in tag team wrestling

  • Scott Kinnard

How long until they put Rick Martel in? If Macho doesn’t go in next year and they insist on putting a deceased wrestler in, it should be Rick Rude or Davy Boy. I would say Owen but we know the issues there.

  • fatneal

warrior, new age outlaws, freebirds, lita, paul bearer

    • Jake Jeremy

Apparently the case that Owen’s wife had against the company has been settled, obviously we don’t have any details but hopefully he’ll get the induction from Bret next year

Sadly the only way that Macho Man will be allowed in the Hall of Fame is if his brother Lanny signs off on it. WWE tries every year…and every year Lanny says no.

  • askbillmitchell

I’d like to see Shane enshrined into the Hall of Fame. Ravishing Rick Rude. The Rock and Roll Express (I would wait until Jim Cornette is finished with ROH before inducting some variation of the Midnight Express which should be Sweet Stan Lane and Beautiful Bobby Eaton IMO), but since Robert Gibson works for WWE (At least he did last I heard) and Ricky Morton is always seemingly hurting for cash, this would as good of time as any to induct RnR into the HoF and yeah the Freebirds Should get in.

Randy Savage and Paul Bearer are both guaranteed future Hall of Famers, but there’s no chance WWE inducts two deceased talents in the same year. I predict they give Savage the nod next year

  • Undertakerforever

Um can we get Demolition in there as well

I disagree with inducting Paul Bearer next year. And not because he doesn’t deserve it, but because of the timing. Before he died, I don’t think anyone even suggested him as a HoF candidate, because would want him to go in with The Undertaker once he retires for good.

I felt the same way when they inducted Eddie Guerrero. I didn’t feel like they were honouring his career, I felt like they were cashing in on the situation.

I do agree with inducting the Freebirds, as well as Randy Savage. I would personally like to see Bam Bam Bigelow inducted… I was disapointed that he wasn’t included this year. I also find it interesting that Mick did not add Dominic DeNucci to his list.

  • Just…Joe. from C.P.

The list of deserving wrestlers that deserve a Hall induction is a mile long.
Top on my list is Who.

  • The Wrestling God

All of those except Paul bearer are unlikely. They should Induct funaki and the spirit squad as fillers for next year.
