RVD Screwed Over By Movie Studio: Batista Involved
Rob Van Dam will be starring in the upcoming straight-to-DVD action movie, “Wrong Side of Town” – or so he thought …
During an interview on the “Between the Ropes” radio show, Van Dam accused the studio Lionsgate of taking him off top billing in favor of his co-star, WWE superstar Batista. Van Dam was under the impression that it was his movie, he’d be the star and Batista was a supporting character. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw that Batista was featured front and center on the DVD box.
“I thought it was my movie. The movie was written for me, I was there for three weeks, filmed every day except for one day, they came out with the DVD box cover and, oh my God, I didn’t realize Batista is the star of it!,” RVD said sarcastically.
RVD was told this action movie was his vehicle to transition into being an action star, but now he doesn’t even know how the movie will turn out after it’s edited and reworked.
“I was completely confused. They said this was like a vehicle for me to go into these other action movies and, yeah, Batista is the star. He was there for two days. I feel like Lionsgate pulled the carpet out from underneath my feet when I was looking. Hopefully when you watch it, I’m still starring in it.”
Former WWE superstar Viscera also appears in the movie.
The “Wrong Side of Town” straight-to-DVD action movie will be released on February 23.

hey man rvd got screwed, so did vince. seeing batista is under contract to vince. i guess by going by the real spelling of dave last name is the way he get to screw vince. rvd was there for the whole filming not dave. we dont chant batista we stil say rvd rvd rvd rvd.
Seriously, it’s a straight to dvd film, that means it’s going to be craptacular at best anyways, though I do like the art work of the cover a lil’ bit. and lol at Lionsgate for misspelling Bastista’s name.
Well if you read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrong_Side_of_Town you’ll see that the movie is about Rob Van Dam’s character, so putting Batista front and center on the cover doesn’t make much sense.

I’m pretty sure that Jericho/Edge feud will be feud if the year. Jericho makes a piece of paper look like a 5 star match. Given a regular 4 star performer like Edge, man.
That is how his name is really spelt. his full name is David Michael Bautista. Batista is his WWE name.
Trust me RVD when you see yourself acting you will see why they put you on the back burner. Great wrestler, but you aren’t the whole f’n show anymore!

BATISTA = Most popular guy right now out of anyone who starred in this movie. Therefore having him as a the main focus on the dvd box art makes sense from a selling point. It is all about tha money! But I doubt Vince is gonna get any of it this time lol
