More Stars Announced For The Rumble, Superstars Rating, More

– Corre members Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel have been officially added to the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match. This brings the confirmed count to 25 WWE Superstars, 18 from Raw and 7 from SmackDown.

– The Jan. 20 episode of WWE Superstars on WGN America scored a 0.49 cable rating, with 565,000 viewers. Last week’s show drew a 0.58 cable rating, with 606,000 viewers.

The midnight replay did a 0.18 cable rating with, 174,000 viewers.

– Former WCW Hardcore Champion Crowbar made his Ring of Honor debut at last night’s ROH on HDNet television taping in Philadelphia. He’s also slated to appear at tonight’s show.

    So 18 from RAW and 7 from Smackdown! must mean (in the traditional condition before ECW was involved), that there should only be 2 more from RAW and 13 from Smackdown! to make this 40 man Rumble even stevens again.

    It annoyed me when the brands were unevenly divided when ECW came into play. They should have had 10 from each brand! or atleast go by show-power and have 15 from RAW, 10 from Smackdown! and 5 from ECW.

    But anyway, keep this already-special Rumble up to standards by having a 20 man even Branded Rumble, WWE :D

    I wonder if they’ll announce these final 2 for Raw or if they’ll leave them to be a surprise.That is if they are gonna do 20 from SD and 20 from Raw,then there is only 2 left for Raw.

    @GoldenBelial i agree completely. ive thought the same thing since ecw started having a place in the royal rumble match. i like that they went with 40 guys. the traditional 30 gets kind of old.

    Well it might no be 20raw 20sd because wwe might throw in some returns such hhh taker and christian(maybe) or even some legends like piper and snuka back in 08.

    i don’t want to see any of the ‘usual suspects’ win the rumble just to make things easy. Jericho is right when he says the wwe has put itself in a bad position not having reloaded the roster years ago. want to challenge the creative team, writers, tv production and the wrestlers…have morrison, del rio or shemus win and give them a genuin title shot at wm and give them real title run. you dont’ have to throw randy or cena in the mix to boost ratings. you wanna make sure that 10 yrs from now you’re still the best out there, start NOW by seeing what these guys on the roster can do.
