Mr. T Saddened That His Hall Of Fame Ceremony Speech Was Cut Short

mr-t

WWE Hall of Famer is speaking out about his Hall of Fame ceremony being cut short on Saturday night. In reaction to Kane coming out and interrupting his rambling speech, tweeted:
Mr. T took to Twitter and wrote the following about his 2014 speech being cut short:

“To my fans: Thank you very much for all your support! I am very disappointed and saddened that you couldn’t hear the rest of my speech… I was told my speech went too long? Really? Seriously? Matthew 10:32-33?

“All the inductees were told that you, “the fans, wanted to hear our stories”, to take our time and enjoy the moment but something…”

“I was deeply moved by the outpouring of support you showed me after my HOF speech was cut short.”

“Soon I will post the remainder of my speech for you to read. Thank you for your support.”

“My mother taught me to stand up for what I believed in. I put a lot of care and love into my speech… I wanted it to inspire and motivate people when they are hurting. Since my mother taught me to always try and take the high road, I will. If my speech helped just 1 mother & 1 son out there, thank you GOD!”

Cut short? It’s an induction speech, not the Gettysburg Address… how much more was he planning to say?

    • Nicolai

      I remember thinking….STFU already.

    • HistoryBuff

The Gettysburg Address was actually short…

    • manuntd10

Litas was long as hell too

      • essinodub

You’re right… I think it went almost an hour

      • Triple H’s Shovel

Lita was a wrestler though. Mr. T was temporarily around 30 years ago.

        • Deleted_Account

Mr. T’s role was more important than people realize. He was incredibly popular with his own TV cartoon and everything. After he associated himself with WWF, Hogan became more than a wrestler, he became a superhero.

          • Barry Manihigh

That’s right. Even though Mr. T only did a few PPVs, his impact on the business side is exponentially greater than Lita’s. Also, Mr. T is a much better public speaker than Lita, by leaps and bounds.

      • Phoenix Ramsey

I thought Lita’s was appropriate for the occasion however.

        • manuntd10

True but however if they all had time limits ot should have been equal timing Litas was entertaining Jake Roberts was heart warming mr ts was very inspirational Scott Halls was proof that anyone can turn there lifes around if they are going through hell Carlos Colon was nice although I still have something against him as in why couldnt he testify the truth when Bruiser Brody was killed. The a Ultimate Warriors was a speech about the truth and how no one let him tell his side of the story. But true they are wrestlers. I just liked how mr ts was nive cuz of his mamas

  • SonofSheik81

I pity the foo who cuts my HOF speech short!

  • essinodub

That speech went on forever… especially for someone being inducted in the celebrity wing… I enjoyed it but I don’t think that he mentioned wrestling one time, but he loves his mama

    • Kjhaltz

      Somebody call his momma!

      • Dirty Sanchez

Wait, don’t! She might beat his ass!!

  • G.I.R.L.

We’re over you and your “perfect” mother, T. Now it’s time for you to get over yourself.

  • Phoenix Ramsey

I don’t think he wrote an appropriate speech. And he continues to quote the Bible and thank his mama…

  • A Realist

    Sigh. T,T,T…

You’re not a Nobel Peace Price winner. It wasn’t supposed to be a life altering speech. It was a “Hey, this is the memory I have about my short time spent in wrestling. The end”.

  • G.I.R.L.

Once I become a BioMedical Engineer, I’ll be sure to give my mother credit for junk she doesn’t deserve as well. 😀

  • ThurgoodSinbad

Wow, does nobody on this website feel that Mr. T was disrespected by having his speech cut short? Everyone in the front row was visibly disgusted by it, and so was I. Mr. T is a legend, and if there was time for a pointless Hornswaggle segment, a pointless BNB segment, and a speech by the murderer Carlos Colon, I don’t see why Mr. T had to be disrespected like that.

    • A Realist

Hey hey hey…Colon abetted in the cover up of murder.

      • Ajk Lewis

        that’s just as bad…..

        • A Realist

That was my point. I was being facetious.

  • Barry Manihigh

His speech might not have been cut as short if he, I don’t know, actually talked about his WWF/E experiences?

  • http://twitter.com/MichaelFarrer92 No1LitaFan

Celebrity inductions are meant to be short and to the point, as it’s not
their industry. His was beyond ridiculous and he should have had more
sense than to preach and repeat himself for half an hour.

  • Jorge Zertuche

    Sorry mr. T
    But shut the fuuuuuuck up

  • A Realist

I’m saddened it went on for as long as it did. Meanwhile, Scott Hall, the feel good story of the year–gets five minutes. F*ck you, T.

  • Progressed_Now

ye fat boy, you’re already forgotten. it’s all about the Warrior now. noone’s gonna give a toss about your stupid speech. if you were saddened, how do you think Maria Menounos still feels? lol

tl;dr – shut the fuuck up.

  • jsisnsjsjsjsjbsvwv

this just shows how these late 90’s babies have no souls and are just ignorant…i’ve heard someone say fuc mr t and his deceased mother..really now there all sympathetic when warrior dies don’t forget with mr t being one of the few tv stars wwe could get for mania 1 if he refused we might not be diqusing wwe as a whole right now

  • Marvin B.

He’s sad about his being cut short, what about others whose time he took up? Him having a long speech isn’t my main problem; it’s what he discussed his mother for 30 minutes and prayers…not a good look bruh lol

  • raVen

Lita dragged on but it was cool for her to get her moment finally.. Mr T just drug on and on and on

  • ADementedJim (ADJ)

In his statement, Mr. T broke the Guiness World Record for mentioning his Mama the most times without making a point.

    • fromtheheart

Actually, he did make sense. He was saying to the audience that his mom made him into the man he is today. Mr. T’s speech was 20 minutes others went longer. I believe there is a more respectful way to tell him to wrap it up other than blasting Kane’s music. But they had time for Hornswaggle and that other guy running around. Whether you liked his speech or thought it was boring, It was rude how he was interrupted.

  • ADementedJim (ADJ)

Could have been worse….Maria Menounous could have given his induction speech.

  • RynoJordan23

I watched the speech and thinking about it, did he mention wrestling even once? If so, I missed it.

  • Barry Manihigh

Not trying to defend Mr. T, but think about it, has he ever been inducted into a Hall of Fame before? He probably figured this was his one chance to do something like this.

  • Coach

I potty the fool that cuts Mr. T’s hall of fame speech short.

  • Yuppers

Yea this was more of a selfish speech than anything else. Nobody should love their mother that much.

  • satishwarne708

    Mr. T thinks it’s a presidential speech.

  • http://twitter.com/JamieEvsxx JamieEvsxx

I never actually watched the HOF, but I did hear he said “mother” 73 times during his speech…guy sure loves him mum…xD
