Okay…when Joe freakin’ Theismann says your product sucks, that should be saying something.

    • Morris_b

He’s got a point. Lately, even the gum flapping isn’t that good. Hell In The Cell rocked. The rest of 2013…eh

      • Zack Stinson

MITB, Rumble, SummerSlam were all good too, but yeah the rest has sucked.

    • Dan Saint

Go Joe!!!!!! Just don’t break a leg.

      • bri

        that’s so wrong but funny

    • bri

Joe has just become my fav sports person!!

WWE doesn’t listen to criticism coming from the current roster, WWE Hall of Famers, journalists, or the fans. But if mainstream people outside of wrestling criticize their product, you bet WWE will do something about it. I hate how it works that way, but maybe a little change will come from this.

Come on it’s Joe Thiesmann they will just do a parody skit of him hocking Super Beta Prostate, like he does in those commercials.

We definitely hope you’re right about all of that SomeInternetGuy!

This idea that more rasslin’ is needed to improve the product is a fallacy. During the height of the Attitude Era, there was a ton of promo time on the show. In fact, I was more interested in the promos that Rock, Stone Cold, and DX were going to cut than some of the matches. The difference is the promos now are forced and dry. Outside of Punk, there’s nobody I’m on the edge of my seat listening to when they jump on the stick. RAW needs better, more straightforward storylines, fewer restrictions on wrestler promos, and more meaningful feuds around the secondary belts. One of my favorite feuds of all time, Stone Cold vs. The Rock for the Intercontinental Title when Austin threw the belt in the river centered around that secondary title and involved lots of promos and satellite feeds, etc. This isn’t hard. They need to revisit the recipe of what was successful in the past.

^Yeah it was also pretty much the same thing when we had a sequel return to that moment when; Stone Cold faced off against Kurt Angle and Angle threw his title into a river and later kidnapped SCSA (or known by then as the ‘Bionic-Red Neck’ and threatened him by a bridge as well.

Unless they allow others to cut their promos like CM Punk does and 50% of the time speak their actual minds instead of the scripted B.S. we’re gonna be stuck with flat promos for a longer period of time. real promos are needed to enhance real wrestling though, so you kinda need both to be there basically!

its not that there is too much gum flapping, just that not many of the performers can sell themselves and the few that can sell themselves they have selling merchandise on those little live commericals during raw and smackdown.

Joe Theismann says a lot of words, but all I hear is “LT broke my leg”.
