Randy Was Born to be a Wrestler! not a marine or an actor .

    • http://twitter.com/AJCampbellNYG Andrew Campbell

Randy Orton has said in interviews that he has always wanted to become an actor after his time in WWE is done. I’m pretty sure getting dropped from ‘The Marine’ was a huge blow to him.

        Was it not deserved?

This new comments layout is terrible, can’t see most of the comments or click the reply button when only half the chatbox shows up on screen.

People flipped out about being overly P.C, when it came to gay jokes, but feel it’s justified to get upset over something like this?  Ya’ll knocking back the hypocritical wacky tobacky too much

      • ALDO the APACHE

How are people beimg hypocrites over this? I not sure where your going with this. Making gay jokes is simply immature and has no place on a wrestling site. I find it odd you have the name heterosexual. Is there a reason you need to make it clear your a heterosexual.

Randy was born to be BORING

        I beg to differ.

Rosa Mendes is the only thing that stops me from fast-forwarding through Epico and Primo’s matches.

LOL I say the same thing every night.

  • pwnez

That may be true, but Orton still went AWOL and that’s what got the marines upset about him playing the role of a marine in a movie. Also, of course Orton would go to Iraq to meet the troops, McMahon wants is top talent to be there for obvious reasons.

    • http://twitter.com/AJCampbellNYG Andrew Campbell

If it wasn’t for WWE’s working relationship with the military and National Guard, I don’t think WWE would have removed Orton from the role. Personally, I wouldn’t have removed him from the role either.

Although what he did during his days as a marine was bad, at the end of the day it’s just a movie.

      • pwnez

You’re right, they wouldn’t have removed him from the film. They don’t want to risk looking bad so they decided to cooperate with what the marines wanted.

Movie or not, a guy who was disrespectful and went AWOL as a marine should not have the honor of acting as one in a movie. That’s just my take on it though. If I were a marine/former marine i’d be angry.

  • JRCallous

I would never claim that Orton doesn’t respect the military. I haven’t seen anyone saying that. Military life isn’t for everyone. Orton messed up, did his time for it, and was dishonorably discharged. I hold no grudge against the man. However, casting him for this role is at best a stupid oversight. I don’t think anyone was purposely trying to insult my Marine Corps, but that is what they did. I’m glad Orton wants to honor those who fight for this country, but in this case, he would have honored them more by turning down the role instead of having to be removed.

    • http://www.twitter.com/SouthKidd803 SavageBomber

I agree, but at the same time, if the news got out that he turned it down, people would still overreact by saying things like, “He went AWOL. Now he thinks he’s too good to portray a Marine in a movie” or something to that effect, I’m sure.

      You said it.  Stupid oversight…indeed!

people should get off orton’s case. he was young he made mistakes. move on people. he is a much better person and in a much better place than he was then

What are you talking about? He hears voices in his head. They talk to him, He kicks people in the skull! He gets concussions every two and a half weeks! Believe me, he is definitely NOT in a better state of mind.

        You know wrestling’s scripted, right?

          You just ruined his life.

            Oops…my bad!

  • fan

Going to Iraq or Afghan as an entertainer is NOT the same t hing as going as a soldier!

  • yesyesyesyes

Whatever fuck it! Orton don’t need that shit.

  • Bushwald Sexyface

Going to visit troops doesn’t make someone a Marine. The dude got kicked out. He’s not a Marine, period. I hoped Randy would have made a classy statement about it but it didn’t happen. The dude still doesn’t get it.

  • Guest

Orton was a pussy who couldn’t hack it and does not deserve to “play” a Marine.

  • Guest

Dishonorable discharge doesn’t go away, your lucky to be part of a wrestling family to get a fresh start……funny you haven’t mentioned that

  • wwefan1995
