WWE Making Big Changes To Elimination Chamber & WrestleMania

After the resounding negative reaction that WWE received at Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, there have been significant changes to WWE’s upcoming storyline plans.

As of this week, there is talk of Daniel Bryan winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Bryan winning the title at Elimination Chamber would accomplish several things. First, it would likely pop a big rating the RAW rating the following night, with the WWE Network launching as soon as RAW goes off the air. WWE  is already planning on bringing in several major names (including Hulk Hogan) the RAW the night after Elimination Chamber. Secondly, it would change the previously planned Batista vs. Randy Orton WrestleMania main event, which WWE now feels is at risk of getting a very negative reaction from the rowdy WrestleMania crowd.

If Daniel Bryan does win the WWE World Heavyweight title at Elimination Chamber, the scenario that’s being discussed is for Randy Orton to invoke his rematch clause at WrestleMania, making the main event a triple threat match between Bryan, Batista and Orton.

    Let the complaining commence.

    • pwnez

I don’t know why they would complain. If this news is true then it sounds like everyone comes out lookin’ like a winner. Orton, Batista and Bryan all in the main event of WrestleMania. WWE would be capitalizing on Batista’s return plus they would be using Bryan, their most popular wrestler.

      • Forceton Banfodder

        I was being facetious.

  • pwnez

I’m hoping WWE goes with this plan. I’m not a huge fan of triple threat main events for WrestleMania but in this case I think it would be a smart move. Your most popular star in the company must be featured in a high-profiled match for WrestleMania.

    • https://twitter.com/StrangeDeranged Pozessed

It is hard to see a good triple threat match these days, but one that was epic was Benoit vs HHH vs HBK I think it was?

      • pwnez

I may be in the minority here but I wasn’t that impressed with the Benoit/HHH/HBK match at ‘Mania 20. Then again i’m not a fan of triple threat and fatal four way main events.

        • https://twitter.com/StrangeDeranged Pozessed

I dunno, that was one of the only triple threats that I actually did like quite a bit.

      • lousms

And I could see a WM main event going the same way…. Bryan playing the role of Benoit, Batista of HHH, and Orton of HBK. End comes when Bryan unexpectedly get’s Batista to TAP OUT. Huge pop.

    • Whatsupbb415

Seems to me like this was the plan from the start too hold him out of the rumble and put the title on him at the chamber. My only question is what’s with the Lesner angle is he in the title picture or not?

      • Cujo999

The same. If Bryan was in the Rumble and lost, and the fans were ticked, then I could see this being a last minute change. However, they held Bryan out of the Rumble because they knew how angry people would be and it would be even more of a jump in buyrates for the next PPV when they stuck Bryan in the title match.

      • inyo

Can’t believe people still think they had a plan. You really think they planned for the crowd to ruin the show to the point that Bryan had to be the focus of Raw after Batista came back and won the Rumble? This is clearly them changing plans because the know the fans were going to destroy the Wrestlemania main event.

    • Aperture

Let him win it at Wrestlemania.

It would be way more special.

      • Donny Octave

At this point, it’s now or never for Daniel Bryan and the WWE. Elimination Chamber is their only shot at keeping the fanbase that they have right now, and most of that fanbase is Daniel Bryan fans. He is by far their most over guy on TV, the reactions he gets are priceless. The fans love of him has gone to the point that they drown out other segments and matches with “YES!” chants and “Daniel Bryan!” chants, as we’ve obviously seen in the past months. They’ve got a lot of pissed off wrestling fans on their hands right now, and THAT, my friend, is “bad for business.” Keep him from winning until Wrestlemania, yeah it would be more special, but again, at this point they can’t afford to wait much longer to put the strap on him. I’ll be glad if they just take the f’n things off Orton already, he’s proven that a heel Randy Orton wouldn’t improve him in the slightest, and he really dropped the ball on it.

        • Aperture

WWE needs to do way more than help Bryan. I love Bryan, but if they only helped him out then nothing would happen. They need to build up their new and young talent. If they do that, they can afford to make the fans hold on a little bit longer. If they make it to where Punk can build his Anti Authority character and clear the way for Bryan to reach for the Gold while Punk deals with his opposition. They need to have Bryan in the main event and win it. Punk will come out and congratulate him. They will have emotional moment in the ring.

        • Not Lawrence Fishburne

Anyone that jumped on the bandwagon in the past 2 years aren’t real fans, they’re YES! fans… they don’t care about Bryan’s wrestling ability, just as long as they can say YES! after every kick.

          • MohammadAbulawi

            Amen,that is why i dont like him…

          • Aperture

We were cheering for Bryan before the YES! chants….

            Remember 2011?

          • MSK

yeah yeah only those who watch independent circuit wrestling are wrestling fans.. rest are sh*t ryt? *sarcasm*

        • lousms

I disagree. I think you could have Batista come out at Chamber and keep Bryan from winning. Batista could say he wanted to keep it him Vs. Orton because he respects Orton and knows that Bryan is too small / too indy to main event Wrestlmania (heel turn). The Authority backs Batista and wants to keep it Batista Vs. Orton because that’s “What’s best for business”.

Because of (wrestling shennanegins) the Authority will allow Bryan into the main event only if he can defeat the New Age Outlaws in a handicap match (he does) and then only if he can defeat Kane (he does) and finally only if he can beat HHH (he does). Now it’s Bryan in the main event triple threat as ‘the anti-authority’ guy. He goes on to submit Batista for the big title win and the crowd goes crazy.

Batista can then move into part time and Orton and Bryan can feud a bit after Wrestlmania.

      • Brian

Damn, that would be way better. We’re never happy.

      • Alan Lopez

I agree let him win at wm it would be perfect just hold on a lil longer guys

    • bambam

So how does Brock Lesnar fit into this mess???

      • Cujo999

There’s plenty of options for Lesnar. They could have Batista put up his #1 contender’s spot at WM against Brock at the next PPV and lose it, putting Brock in the main event and dropping Batista[who looked like crap at the Rumble] down to upper mid-card, maybe against Sheamus. They could also make it a Fatal Four Way, or just go back to Lesnar vs. ‘taker.

        • Donny Octave

And you really believe Triple H would let them take his buddy Big Dave out of the title picture?

          • bambam

I think they totally dropped the ball on Dave!!! They thought he would be so over with the crowd and its just the opposite. He had no pop at his first Raw, got booed out of the building at Rumble, and no reaction last night!!! At this point all options on the table WM30!!!

        • bambam

I like that. Have Bryan win Elimination Chamber and have Brock challenge Batista for number #1 spot to challenge Bryan at Mania. Please lets leave Sheamus out of this conversation lol. If anyone needs to be added, add Reigns!! I think that Bryan vs Brock would be a great match. I just want Sting to challenge and Taker and I dont think anybody should end the streak!!

          • inyo

You seriously need to get over Reigns for the time being. Dude will be huge, but he won’t be involved in any of this until he is finished with The Shield.

          • bambam

Your right. Would rather have Shield vs Wyatt Family!!

      • inyo

It’s simple, Brock will also be part of title match at EC. Batista has no reason to be in chamber match, so they can have him finish off his little deal with Del Rio. Add someone like Big E to title match, and there you go. Plus it looks like they may do Wyatt Family vs Shield. Things are now looking much better heading into EC and Wrestlemania.

      • pwnez

I’m thinking the elimination chamber match could look something like this: Orton, Cena, Bryan, Sheamus, Lesnar, ADR. The reason ADR would be in there is because of his mini feud with Batista. He wants to become champion, that way he can face Batista (obviously that won’t happen.)

Lesnar in the EC would be awesome IMO.

        • bambam

instead of ADR how about Roman Reigns???

          • pwnez

You could do that too but I think they are going to keep him aside so the Shield can start feuding with the Wyatt Family.

          • bambam

True!!! would rather the wyatts feud with the shield. maybe have christian for one last big match then.

          • pwnez

OR they could leave Lesnar out of the EC match and put in Bray and Reigns. That could help set up their feud at WrestleMania. Lets just say WWE has options lol.

          • inyo

I think it’s been made clear that Bray will be paired with Cena at Wrestlemania. I was also hoping for Shield vs Wyatt’s at Wrestlemania, but getting it at EC is better than nothing.

          • pwnez

That could change though especially since they are dropping hints of the Wyatt’s vs the Shield. Instead of Bray vs Cena i’d rather see stable vs stable.

          • pwnez_deez

Agreed. Though the Wyatt family should win if that happened. I feel like it would be a better catapault for the shield break up.

        • inyo

So what does Batista do at EC?

          • pwnez

Well that was only one option. Another would be to throw some mid-carder in the last EC spot which we’ve seen happen before. That way you could have ADR vs Batista at the PPV. ADR challenging Batista for his ‘Mania main event spot. If ADR does manage to enter the EC match then Batista isn’t going to do anything at the PPV.

This may be the better option since Batista should work at least one match before wrestling at WrestleMania. From what i’ve seen he could use the practice because he looked gassed in the rumble match.

          • inyo

Yeah, that’s what I suggested, with Big E in the last spot in title match. I was thinking Reigns or Wyatt, but like you guys have said, they are clearly heading towards Shield vs Wyatt Family.

          • Ayatollah of rock N rolla

I’d like Kofi in there for the “mid-carder” dude is good, and is a trick pony for the WWE in the Royal Rumble year after year

Need to put ziggler in, he sells everyones move, he was awesome at rumble

        • pwnez_mybawlz

pwnez you know that is wishfull thinking. It would be a good lineup you have presented for the EC, but I am fairly certain Brock won’t make another ppv appearence until WM. That being said… a man can dream.

          • GoGoJoe83

No I thought I read somewhere that Brock would be appearing from now until Wrestlemania. As for the Wyatt/Cena/Shield topic, Wyatt’s caused the shield to loose the 3 on 3 match. But it really could go either way because next week on Raw the Authority is probably going to try and say that due to the Wyatt interference Cena Bryan and Sheamus can’t use that win to get in. This could be used to upset Cena to send Cena after Wyatt. Have Sheamus screw DB again and pow ‘Mania is still locked in as before. But in the end Cena Sheamus and DB will be in but there will be more to it then they got in clean. Wyatt’s vs shield will probably happen but it will occur at EC. That is my two cents at least.

      • Whatsupbb415

I’m not sure how the Lesner vs Taker fued will launch but it will be epic if they doit.
Updated potential mania card looks better.
Daniel Bryan vs Batista vs Randy Orton
CM Punk vs HHH (SCSA Referee)
        Bray Wyatt vs John Cena
        Brock Lesner vs Undertaker
Hogan either in a match or some kind of physical situation.

    • QuiteFrankly2k

You know what I was hoping for? For the WWE to bring back “Spotlight Now” Batista face Bryan. I mean I feel if you have a character that is sheer power and Bryan breaking out of his clutches to win himself the championship would be more powerful and make him go over even more.

    • Charlie Swalger

Man I am hoping they go with it too. This is a smart move on their behalf. This has just made me more excited for Elimination Chamber now.

    • Stephen

If they really are trying to please the crowd and continue the Daniel Bryan story, they should do the following:
Daniel wins the title at the Chamber
Orton invokes his rematch for WrestleMania
The Authority make Daniel face Ortonin the first match of night, and then the winner, Daniel, would face Batista to end the show.
At this point, even if Batista leaves champion, people get their Yes moment with Daniel finally beating Orton. And it wouldn’t really hurt Daniel since people would get to watch 30 to 60 minutes of him.

    • Rob

Most popular star in WWE?BAHAHAHAH AND BRYAN DOESNT EVEN POP RATINGS.. WASNT ORTON A CHEERED BIG TIME AS A FACE TO? WHEN WAS THE LAST HE MAIN EVENT MANIA! BRYAN SUCKS ASS

      • pwnez

I think you need to clean your ears out because clearly you do not hear the huge pops Bryan gets every single week. No one pops the ratings, maybe you haven’t noticed that either.

When was the last time Orton got a huge pop from the fans? He was cheered because they hated Orton as a face and when he finally turned heel they realize how boring he still was and stopped.

  • Mike Alexander Poelzer

Boo Daniel Bryan what’s the love for him he is no john cena the rock or triple h like seriously why is he favored in the wwe

    • pwnez

Consistantly getting major pops every single week from the fans may have something to do with it. It could also have something to do with the fact that he delivers A-list matches each time he steps into the ring. As much as fans hate to admit it, Bryan is the most popular wrestler we’ve seen in years.

You’re right, he is no John Cena, Rock or HHH and I wouldn’t want him to be. Talking from a wrestling standpoint, Bryan is a much better wrestler than all three of these guys and I personally find him to be way more entertaining than Cena and HHH.

      • Noah

The Rock in his prime during The Attitude Era (Best Era in history) vs Daniel Bryan.Who wins?.

        • pwnez

          Wrestling: Bryan, Talking: Rock

        • Noah

3 votes down.Is it because I said the Attitude Era is the best in history?.It is.Everyone knows it is.It’s better then today’s PG crap.

          • lazarus87

I do agree that the attitude era was the best era in wwe history no doubt, but Daniel Bryan IS the best performer in wwe right now, he’s the best they got. Way better that cena hhh randy lame a$$ Orton Batista or anyone else.

        • Dirty Sanchez

Wrestling: Bryan, only because he has the high-flying crap. In a power game, or even just an hour at the gym, Rock wins.
          Talking: Rock. Duh.
Cross- marketability: Rock. Nobody has found the kind of post-wrestling success the Rock has…and don’t kid yourselves, Rock’s AE popularity gave him his successful movie career, which in turn has allowed him to return years later and still main event in WWE.
          The WWE look: Rock. Duh.
Dont kid yourselves- we all know this is what WWE looks for…well, not so much wrestling, but looks, mic ability, and how much they can make off of you in and out of the ring.
Bryan is the better WRESTLER, but Rock is the better ENTERTAINER.

      • lunchbox87

I don’t think i have heard pops for him since Austin ,its insane how well he controllers the crowd as Much as I love Punk he wasn’t this over during the pipebpmb era

    • Y2J

Again to each his own, but the fact that he’s not a Cena or HHH is the reason why I like him & I feel Rock is a little unfair for a comparison b/c Rock is in a league of his own with Austin.

    • Anti-Cena

I bet you have own little Cena outfit at home don’t ya Mikey?

      • Kindjal83

And Mikey just loves his John Cena Garden Gnome! :D

        • Noah

I respect John Cena for all the stuff he does for WWE and that he works his butt off. He’s not one my favorite’s.

      • Josh Knepshield

Daniel Bryan is horrible on the mic. It sounds like he needs acting lessons, not hating on him, just think his mic skills need a lot of work.

        • Y2J

He’s no Punk, Rock or HHH by any means on the mic, but he’s better than most. You can’t tell me you find Orton more entertaining on the mic than Bryan.

        • pwnez

I’ll agree that Bryan isn’t great on the mic but neither is Orton, Batista and Lesnar and look how they turned out. Whether we like them or not they still became popular for one reason or another.

        • Chris Johnston

And John Cena is? You don’t have to be an amazing mic talent to be one of the best out there. Mic skills are def. not everything, because if they were, Cena, Orton, and Batista would be nowhere.

          • Josh Knepshield

I’d say Cena is pretty solid on the mic. He owned that segment with Orton before TLC.

        • raVen

actually he’s great on the mic when given the chance

          • Josh Knepshield

No, his voice is so horrible on the mic. It sounds like he was just rehearsing backstage. He needs acting lessons.

    • Chris Johnston

Oh you know, only getting bigger pops than John Cena, The Rock, and Triple H, being a real wrestler, unlike John Cena, starting the Yes Movement, Being entertaining, and so much more. That’s all. Guess you don’t like real wrestling talent and real entertainment, huh?

    • raVen

exactly because he isn’t john cena rock or hhh.
he’s something original exciting young and not played out.
it’s funny Bryan has been watered down to one word for months and yet his promos are still more original than the 3you mentioned. cena has had the same 3promos for 10 years now. rock made a career off the same promo night after night. and hunter-ugh is-ugh the-ugh worst-ugh promo-ugh in history-ugh

      • ibeBrave

LMFAO you should watch the promo when mick foley becomes commisioner he says the samething to triple h lol something like (we never Ahhhhhhhhave to sit through ahhhhhhhh boring Ahhhhhhhhhpromo from ahhhh triple h AHHHHH lol)

    • Ace

I think Bryan is WACK and corny.

    • Scott Kinnard

You’re right. He’s no Cena, HHH, or Rock. He’s better! With exception to the Rock. Cena is entertaining but a terrible worker. If HHH hadn’t married into the family he never would have gotten past mid-card status. People like Daniel Bryan because he’s a great worker, he paid his dues, and he is a nice guy.

  • nBonThaBeat

Well can’t blame them for thinking that way. They’re a business, and that’s a great business move. The crowd will pop for Bryan and there gonna want all eyes on that Raw if they do have big names coming back and the big launch of the new network.

  • Frank

I would have rather it been Punk winning the rumble and that have a 3 way with byran, punk, and Orton insead! :(

    • Forceton Banfodder

And this is why you don’t book Wrestlemania.

      • Aperture

I don’t know why people disliked your comment. That idea sounds horrible to me too,

        • Forceton Banfodder

Full moon? Centipedes in their vaginas? Stunted Emotionally? Who knows?

          • Aperture

            The first one sounds good.

  • MachoViper

Now to remove Orton from the main event scene, his run has been defined by Daniel Bryan and not by his own actions.

  • steven harris

I’m ok with this idea, but I think it would be fun if Bryan won it at Mania, and give him his WM moment.

  • Anonymous123

Phew…and I thought Elimination Chamber and WM are going to be a mess like Royal Rumble.Having this idea is good for the sake of the WWE Universe and as a fan

  • Guest

    YES! YES! YES!

  • Buzzard Follower

I can’t help but feel WWE is just leading us all along only for Bryan and sheamus feud to start at the chamber bryan eliminates shea. Shea screws him shea turns heel. Long story short I don’t expect the WWE to do what’s good for business

  • Y2J

Sounds great, but I take this story with a grain of salt. I don’t trust WWE enough to follow through, hopefully I’m wrong.

  • WOW

well that maybe good but it’s not best since brock lesnar’s dying for a title shot it may be a fatal 4 way match and most likely cena vs undertaker’s gonna happen then. OMG!

    • Noah

I’d like to see Cena vs Undertaker. But I want Sting vs Undertaker at WM 30.Then Cena vs Undetaker at WM 31.After WM 31 would probly be it for Undertaker. When Undertaker does call it quits,It will be very sad.

      • MrSplakaveli

I’d say reverse that. Cena/Taker this year and Sting/Taker next year. Sting at least deserves to win one match if he steps foot in a WWE ring, and against Taker at WM sure aint gonna be it, so they need more build.

  • The truth

Why are we having an indie midget become the world champion like I said if he was in the old days I guarantee you he’d be a complete joke… Daniel Bryan would’ve been a jobber

    • Dirt Fisher

His career would have been as funny as Shawn Michaels.

    • Noah

Guys like Daniel Bryan and Punk wouldn’t of lasted if they were in the Attitude Era.They would of got there butts handed to them from Stone Cold (The captain of the Attitude Era) The Rock,HHH,Undertaker,Mankind,Kane etc. That’s when they were in there prime.I miss the Attitude Era.

      • WeAreTheOnes

Punk would of lasted. Think of his mic skills.

    • pwnez

I bet you’d rather have Botchtista as champion. You know, the guy who can’t cut a promo and can’t wrestle. Also, let the Attitude Era go. It’s gone and it’s never coming back. Quit living in the past.

      • The truth

Funny you should say…the difference between them is at least Batista looks like champion…Daniel Bryan as world champion to be the next guy to carry the company yea right…no one wants to see an indie wrestler main even the grandest stage of them all

  • Archimedes_Slim

Well it’s not nearly as epic as D-Bry overcoming the odds, winning the rumble, then going on to defy the authority by winning the Championship at Wrestlemania thus conquering the machine, but it’s much better than the alternative.

I suppose the consolation is the behind the scenes story of D-Bry overcoming the odds, getting more over than any other superstar on the roster, winning the hearts and minds of the universe, going on to defy the authority facilitating the YES movement, and winning the Championship at the Elimination Chamber essentially conquering the machine.

    Yeah I’m cool with it.

  • Tookie

Don’t cave in Vince. Don’t let these ppl bully you into changing plans lol.

  • Guest

They’ll put the strap on Lesnar. Lesnar will be able to absorb the heat like a sponge and it’ll still boost ratings BIG TIME. Bryan will have his moment at Mania or at Extreme Rules in his home state.

  • raVen

yay let Bryan win..again, get a huge pop..again, a ratings boost…again then they can screw him..again. give the man Mania main event!!!!

  • raVen

batista and orton at mania still makes me want to vomit and change the channel.
Punk vs Bryan vs Lesnar. THAT is a WM main event!

  • #MakeYouFeelSomeTypeOfWay

I think Punk wouldve made an awesome addition to the Attitude Era. Punk vs Rock and Punk vs Austin wouldve made for some epic, off the cuff mic battles. As much as I like Daniel Bryan, he wouldve been no where near the main event scene during the AE

    • Moe

I think CM Punk would’ve fit well with DX from the AE

  • piggypoopie

    Sounds good to me

  • ibeBrave

im confused so what about lesnar have wwe thought about him yet cuz i thought he wanted a shot to?

  • https://twitter.com/THEREALBIGMAC THEREALBIGMAC

Please let this be true! All i can picture in my head is a lamer version (If thats even possible) of Rock vs Cena with Boreton Vs Bootista happening at Wrestlemania.

  • Reality

YES! YES! YES! Then Lesnar beats Batista (Orton would cost him by WWE booking standard) to get his shot. Orton vs Batista at Mania. Lesnar vs Bryan for the title at Mania.

  • brad

We haven’t seen a good triple threat match on a while so I’m down with this idea. (Assuming that it’s a good triple threat match ). However I agree with jr on taker closing the show with lesnar.

  • QuiteFrankly2k

Okay so is it just be or is WWE just out to mind f— us? Like Brock Lesnar is the #1 contender, Batista is #1 Contender, Randy Orton is Champion, there is only 1 PPV till Mania! Lol isn’t it getting to close to make changes? I just want things to run things smoothly

  • Israel

I rather want Bryan to be the only man to defeat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania or win the title at Wrestlemania because it would just mean more then him winning at the Chamber

    • bambam

nobody is ever going to end the streak!!!!!

    • WeAreTheOnes

Ok, this is why Daniel Bryan fans annoy me. I love Bryan but he does not deserve to end the streak. Stop it.

  • payton

It Was Suppose To Be Bryan Who Won The Rumble Facing Punk The Current WWE Champ At Mania

  • Donny Octave

WWE, for your own sake, PLEASE GO THROUGH WITH THIS!!!

  • Bryan

Why have him win at Elimination Chamber when you could have him win at Wrestlemania and make it more special? I don’t know it feels right for him to win at Mania and have his moment.

  • Guest

If the WWE does decide to do another publicity stunt, then I ain’t watching WWE anymore.

    • Donny Octave

      Suuuuuuuuuuuuuure you aren’t…

  • Tommy

Too bad WWE made the mistake of keeping Daniel Bryan in the big spotlight. He should be in matches

  • Tommy

With people like Fandango. I would much rather see a main event with people like Cena, Orton, Lesnar or Batista

  • http://commonsensecatholicism.blogspot.com/ Kevin Tierney

I’m kinda divided. I want Bryan to win.

But man, I’d love to see the Mania crowd completely turn on Batista/Orton. Can you imagine 75,000 fans shouting at the top of their lungs for the entire match “THIS IS AWFUL! *CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP* THIS IS AWFUL!”

  • EJ

I take ask this with a grain of salt. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think quite a few matches will be changed as far as mania goes if the wwe dues indeed sign sting. If they do then we know lesnar won’t be facing undertaker because sting Will do then what do you do with him? I’d love to see lasnar vs Bryan for the title, cm punk vs hhh, Roman reigns vs Dean Ambrose, and goldust vs Cody Rhodes. I know many of you won’t agree but it’s just an opinion.

Would love to see an EC with Reigns, Lesnar, Orton, Big Show…and Bryan I guess. But start the match with Bryan and whoever. If he’s gonna win, might as well enjoy an extra good ass kicking beforehand.
Then a WM 3way with (sigh) champ Bryan, rematched Orton, and RR winner Batista. Wyatt family interferes, Batista wins.
Then Reigns wins a handicap match against the Other Two Shield Guys, setting up an angle with Batista…and Bryan I guess.

    • Noah

Yes put Roman Reigns in the EC.Remember in 09 when they shot Sheamus right to the top in weeks and put the WWE Title on him?.WWE should do that with Roman Reigns.Make Roman an unstoppable force and put the title on Reigns.Give Reigns a long title run like Punk had.But Have Reigns go longer and break Punks record.

  • Ryan Derringer

Better idea. Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus opens the card at Mania.. Winner gets to be 3rd man in for WWE WCH. DB wins, and goes on to win triple threat over Batista and Orton. Batista turns heel next night and feuds with Bryan over the belts.

  • mrfoxx

yeah right brock vs bryan lmao ok their ppl or bryan vs batista hahaha gimme a break i like daniel but i mean common mannnnnnn

  • The_R_Truth

So they throw away a potential hugely-hyped Punk-Cena rivalry (I know, they can revert back to it, but it won’t be the same) on 2/25/13 by having Cena beat Punk for the first time and cleanly, which throws away a big-money main event for WM29: Rock vs Cena vs Punk. Considering WM29 didn’t get nearly as many buys as WM28, this would’ve put it over the top.

Now, they wan’t to give us our Triple Threat with virtually the same type of lineup (Bryan=Punk, Orton=Cena, Batista=Rock), but they are all slightly worse than their “equals.” Imagine the promos of Rock-Cena-Punk, especially if there was a special guest ref in SCSA or Mick Foley. Now compare that to the promos of this potential Triple Threat, even if someone like HHH was the ref (which I think would be the smart move, as he has some type of tie to all 3, but then Punk doesn’t have an opponent unless they give us Punk-Taker II or Punk-Sheamus). Good job to the fans for speaking out, but poor job to WWE for making ignorant decisions.

    Reigns vs Rollins vs Ambrose
    Cody Rhodes vs Goldust
    Punk vs HHH
    Cena vs Wyatt
    Taker vs Lesnar
Tag: NAO © vs Usos vs Ribaxel vs Real Americans
    ICC-USC Unification: Big E © vs Sheamus ©
WWEWHC: Bryan © vs Orton vs Batista
Wouldn’t be a bad card, but could be better.

    Ideally (faces on left, heels:
Tag: NAO © vs Usos vs Real Americans
    ICC-USC Unification: Big E © vs Sheamus ©
    Cena vs Bray Wyatt
    Reigns vs Rollins vs Ambrose
Rhodes vs Goldust, w/Dusty as Special Guest Referee
Batista vs Lesnar (Lion’s Den, anyone?)
    Taker vs Sting
    Diva’s: AJ © vs Natalya
Bryan vs HHH, w/HBK as Special Guest Referee (gotta let this one have a payoff)
    WWEWHC: Orton © vs Punk

  • MrSplakaveli

I’m actually hoping for a Lesnar win at EC, setting up Lesnar/Batista for WM. Let’s face it, WWE isn’t comfortable with Bryan’s face being plastered on the sides of buses and on billboards advertised as the main event of their biggest show, and Lesnar/Batista have that “two beasts about to collide” look and is a fresh match I dont think anyone would mind seeing. I think a better place for Bryan (this year) is against Taker. That has consistently been the best match of the night and Bryan is exactly the man to ensure it happens again this time. Yes, it’s a guaranteed loss, but its a loss that has almost become more valuable than the title itself.
NEXT YEAR, assuming Bryan keeps pumping out instant classics, there’s no other excuse for Bryan not headlining. If I had my way, I’d have it be against Punk (if he’s still around). And of course, I’d have Taker face Sting next year’s Mania, but that a convo suited for the other post.

    • MrSplakaveli

on that note, however, I cant for the life of me think of anything for Orton to do if my idea were to go forward. Cena’s got Wyatt. Punk’s overthrowing the Authority (maybe, we know how that goes). I’d hate to think of throwing him on the pre-show with Ziggler, lol.

    • rashad jackson

the only thing wrong with lesnar vs batista is…yes it could be a good match
but it can also turn out to be a lesnar vs goldberg match 2.0 which would be horrible…

      • MrSplakaveli

True, I wont argue against the fact that Batista doesn’t bring a whole lot more to the table ability-wise than Geoldberg did. Hopefully the brief stint in MMA gave him some kind of agility, because it sure as hell didn’t help his conditioning.

  • Josh

This is their best option. I honestly like the angle of the authority holding Bryan down. It makes you support him even more. But I thinking at this point holding him down anymore would ruin his push. Now is the time for him to rise above the authority ( corny Cena reference)! Bryan gets the biggest pop since Austin. It would be wise to take advantage. Lets face it. Kids support winners, heroes. Like Super Cena. They wont continue to support Bryan if he gets buried

    bryan vs orton vs batista
but i think bryan vs orton vs lesnar is better

  • gimmegimmekevin

I’m fine with this. I think Bryan and Batista could do some great work together. Bryan can pin someone other than Orton for the title in EC (maybe Sheamus?) so Orton can complain that he never truly lost. He’ll demand a rematch and Batista will tell him to “get to the back of the line” since he’s RR winner. Hopefully Batista turns heel and gets mad at Bryan for ruining his RR moment. Then HHH, being the jerk that he is not wanting Bryan to be champ teases Bryan and says, “Oh, we’ll go ahead and let you be champ for about a month. That’s fine, coz I know there’s no way you’re beating both Orton and Batista at WM30”. And of course, Bryan pins/submits Orton in the triple threat at WM30 to end it and make everyone happy. Then, Batista can still get a rematch with Bryan at Extreme Rules and Payback, eventually going away for the summer.

  • jen

I do not think they expected the poor reaction for batista though.

  • David Fadden

What I would like, daniel bryan and randy orton end elimination chamber laying unconscious with their arms on top of each other. The refs award a double victory and give bryan the world heavyweight title and orton the wwe title. On raw they decide to retire the title the next night stripping bryan. Then the host of legend superstars likr hogan there rebels against hhh and demand him in the main event of wrestlemania.

  • Gamexxx07

Thats the best move for wwe to make sure daniel bryan not only he will win wwe world heavyweight champion but having him the next face of the wwe!

I only like this scenario if Daniel Bryan goes over at Wrestlemania. Otherwise it will piss off the crowd even more. At this point the WWE has almost no choice but to turn Batista heel. Of course if Daniel Bryan goes into WM the champ, good chance is he leaves the champ. I think there’s only been one or two WM mainevents involving the title where a heel walks out champion

  • Michael

Bullshit. I’ll believe it when I see it

Oh for the love of God, please let the match be simply Orton vs. Bryan. Batista has had his chance, and he is nowhere near the level of either Orton nor Bryan in fitness or skill. He ain’t no ring general that’s for sure! They should put him against Del Rio on the bottom of the card. Batista is terrible. Simpy terrible.

I could see them making Bryan wrestle 2 matches at Mania, like they did with Hart, only Bryan winning both matches

    • Bryan

I could see that happening as you could have Bryan vs Triple H and if Bryan wins he gets to main event Mania and then he wins and it’s Bryan vs Orton [c] vs Batista in a triple threat match and Bryan wins.

I haven’t seen it posted here yet, so I wanted to let you guys know that CM Punk quit WWE on Monday before RAW. He told Vince he was going home and he did.

He has been pulled from all future appearances.

This has been confirmed by the Wrestling Observer and his is tweet after the Rumble was most likely a cryptic farewell.

Sorry if I missed this news on the site somewhere or if this is breaking any rules, I just wanted to get word out to CM Punk’s fans.

Breaking news. Bryan has told Vince he is leaving WWE with CM Punk. Vince screams and has several rewrites to make him Champion…but Batista says he will quit if he doesn’t hold the younger talent down. HHH gives Vince his pills and Batista is winning mania.

This actually makes sense,Bryan is the most popular guy in wrestling hell even TNA fans do the YES/NO chant!Besides Randal vs David at WM 30 will suck so WWE is doing the right thing and Raw after chamber will be epic if this happens.
