it comes out tuesday they just announce when it comes out

  • pwnez

Orton is going to end up carrying this feud especially if he’s a heel. This could be pretty good though.

  • Darth

As long as Orton turns heel, I’m okay with this.

  • http://twitter.com/AJCampbellNYG Andrew Campbell

It’s about time they turned Orton heel.

  • Gr8ness

Randy’s been a face for almost a good 3 years so its time for a heel turn. I like that it seems they’re building towards it instead of it being just a random turn.

    • Sisisi!

Yeah I’m excited to see his actual turn, dope picture by the way.

      • Gr8ness

I appreciate it. Yeah I’m looking forward to the turn also. I’m also looking forward to the overall product going into WM season, hopefully WWE steps it up cause last year wasn’t that good.

        • WCWPunk

Gr8ness right now is the best time to be a wrestling fan with the RAW’s leading all the way up to Wrestlemania. I am most definitely looking forward to CM Punk vs The ROCK Greatness in the making

He hasn’t been 100% face he was in between a heel and a face for like 1 year.

      • Gr8ness

Either way I won’t say its overdue but I guess its something new to look forward to with a real feud between the 2 and not that shit they had in 2010.

        • morrisonfanone

His 09 Bragging Rights match with Cena when he was heel was awesome. That’s the last good match of his I’ve seen.

  • ItsProgressNow

oh god don’t tell me they’ll make Sheamus win the Rumble again

  • Jay

You guys forgot Layla in the DLC pack.

  • Backstreet Bungalow

I’m glad Orton is finally going heel but this feud is going to bite cause Sheamus as a face sucks. I was a fan we he debuted cause he was smashing everyone in his way but now he just tries for cheap pops. btw WWE games suck big donkey balls now. I can’t remember which year it was but the that included ecw and wcw was my favorite. Everything after that were only worth renting not buying.

  • Lefty McRighty

The problem with Orton as a heel is that the heel is expected to hold the match together. Orton is terrible at that. He is very, very good when he is led through a match (see any match against someone who is a ‘general’ in the ring) but bland to boring against anyone he has to lead. As a babyface, Orton has had mixed success based on when he was leading the match because of the lack of experience of the heel or when he was following along the heel. When Orton follows, the match is generally very good as Orton is capable of just about anything in the ring physicially and can portray a decent babyface for the shine portion. It all falls apart when he has to be a heel against someone who is lower on the totem pole than he is.

    Like Sheamus.

Orton is comparable to Sting in the in ring regard. Just like Sting, Orton is only as good as his opponent and even then is at his best when the other guy is taking the lead. Sheamus seems like he is learning quite well and in a few years will be a general in the ring himself. And a very good one at that. Unfortunately at Wrestlemania, Orton will be controlling the match and Sheamus will be following along. This means Orton will make himself look good, give Sheamus very little meaningful offense and the match will stink up the joint.

Its unfortunate that Orton is as bad a heel wrestler as he is as he is much better and obviously more comfortable as a heel character. Its just from bell to bell, he isnt very good unless he has someone to lead him. Sheamus, at least this year, isnt gonna be that guy.

    • morrisonfanone

He has little to no mic talent as well. Both as a heel or a face.

    • Lefty McRighty

Sorry for the double post, guys.

      • WCWPunk

        Apology accepted bro ;)

    • Bushwald Sexyface

I disagree. I believe Orton has had some very good matches as a heel in which he’s calling the match/carrying it. Plus, he’s also a pretty damn good seller when he has to be, which is a plus for a heel character.

      • Lefty McRighty

Not so much agreed on the point of him being a decent seller, and its actually more needed as a face than a heel. A face needs to gain sympathy which Orton almost never bothers to do, instead relying on the character design of being ‘The Viper’ and that he was only pretending, thus almost always avoiding looking like he was ever really in danger. Which is really meta when you think about it. Hes pretending to pretend to be in pain… anyway.

I’d like some examples of matches where he was obviously calling in the ring that you consider good. Maybe I missed them, but I dont recall many really outstanding matches for Orton that he wasnt in the ring with someone who was obviously his senior in the ring.

        • Bushwald Sexyface

He said it himself: he was never comfortable being a face. Its hard to be great at something when you dont feel comfortable with it.

I would have to go through Youtube to find the matches I’m trying to remember and dont have the time to do that right now. And just because someone is someone’s senior doesn’t mean the senior is calling the match, especially when the goal of the match is to see how well the younger guy can call a match.

As for selling being more needed as a face rather than a heel, the only thing I will say about that is Dolph Ziggler. His selling as a heel benefits him greatly, as it did Orton when he was heel. His facial expressions alone could also tell a story too.

          • Lefty McRighty

Ill agree that Zigglers selling helps alot, but that’s also part of his character build. Hes the Curt Hennig type, which means that as a heel he is supposed to be a coward, which Orton’s character clearly is not. Your right on about it adding to his matches though as Ziggler is one of the best at that type of selling currently working.

As for being senior and calling a match, in my history it does. You always defer to the person who is more senior unless you are both about even. Orton against Cena for example would be an even level, though it would defer to Cena. While this isn’t a full on hard rule (the heel controlling is what they teach in schools) it is a manner of respect. In the WWE, everything, EVERYTHING is about respect, and regardless of where you are on the card, if you get in the ring with say, Big Show, he calls the match unless he defers it to you. If your newer than the other guy, you defer. Doesn’t matter if you are like Claudio/Antionio whose spent over a decade on the indies and Japan, he defers to Sheamus in a match between the two unless Sheamus defers to him.

It’s kind of silly when its spelled all out, but it’s how it works up there. That being said, Orton is senior to almost everyone on the roster other than the people that off the top of my own head I can remember him having stand-out matches with. I’m sure hes had good matches with people his junior or people who deferred to him or else he wouldn’t be so highly regarded within the company, but I am pointing out a flaw in his ability that has held him back a bit and will continue to do so unless he continues to evolve (which I am sure he will eventually as he is, what 29?).

I just wouldn’t get my hopes up about amazing Orton matches once he’s a heel.

sandow and cesaro thats it. wwe 13 good. randy orton can beat big show

  • whyevenbother

Why don’t Sheamus and Orton team u and have 7 combined PPV matches where all they do is beat Christian. makes sense to me

  • Jake

    Randy has gotten boring

  • Bushwald Sexyface

About f’n time they turn Orton back to a heel. I just hope the crowd doesn’t disallow it. He needs to be a different type of heel this time, although I’m not exactly sure how he will be. Regardless, it’ll be nice to see it.

    • http://twitter.com/timothy_billups Timothy Billups

My guess, he’ll be similar to a Scott Hall styled heel; where he gets cheered for kicking the crap outta the faces. Kinda how everyone loved the NWO back in the day is what I see happening. Orton enjoys playing the bad guy, but he likes to be cheered as well, seeing signs like on Smackdown pointing to the guys with the RKO sign.

  • http://www.facebook.com/shane.ruffrage Shane Ruffrage

You would think with him breaking the drug policy a couple of times, wwe would make him heel.but that would just give Orton what he wants.

    • morrisonfanone

You would think they would’ve fired him years ago.

  • Word Life

Funny thing is, Randy Orton would still boring as a heel. You can’t even tell right now or have been able to tell what he is. His expressions are always the same, his vocal tone, everything. Everything is one dimensional and monotone with this mofo and the bad thing about it is that the stuff he says on the mic doesn’t get you hyped for a match or make you care! They gotta make Orton more intense, he needs to start saying shit that matters and start doing shit that makes him recognized.. That slow ass walk to the ring, moving around like a snake that shit is old and boring! Because if he stays doing the same boring shit as a heel then what? He has to change his ring style a little too, and stop being so damn slow! His matches are predictable as hell and boring. Somebody should tell him to fly off the script a little and do things faster. And he definitely needs to improvise a little with his expressions and the mic work. I dont know… something tells me Orton is just simply dull in real life. Not a very lively dude.. but he should at least try anyway! I’m looking forward to him going heel, but also improving his character!

  • SLIDER

These WWE games used to be more realistic. You won a title, you won it simple as that. Now scripted events make decisions for you and even rob you of victories from time to time if it’s not part of the storyline. Now WWE ’13 has a rehash AE. Wouldn’t it be more fun to remake the AE instead.. Like making HBK win at WM 14, or having The Rock against Austin at SS ’98. The older games might have pulled this type of thing off, but not in today’s era. Today we have scripted “hold my hand” horseshit gameplay. Garbage!

And Orton/Sheamus, ever since I saw their feud in 2010 which I enjoyed, I have been wanting to see them switch sides and feud again. Orton as the heel this time, and Sheamus as the face! I’m going to enjoy this feud big time. I hope Orton kicks it up a notch, like he did back in ’09.

    • ItsProgressNow

what are you on about? Rock n Austin didn’t fight at SS98, it was him and Mankind in the finals, and Bossman, Taker and Shamrock earlier in the tournament. Austin got “injured” early and didn’t compete later in the night.

  • Pozessed

Hopefully Orton will turn heel since that is when he is at his best.. But the best match on this show was Barrett Vs Kingston, them guys put on an epic match.

  • king of the octagon

i hope they bring back the punt

  • Jayden53092

what?? no drew mcintyre for DLC?? seriously what the fuck.

    • Mr. Honesty

There already is a DLC for McIntyre…

  • morrisonfanone

Just as soon as I start liking Randy again, they do this. Go ahead. This gimmick of his is stale. I’ve not rooted for him before, I’ll do it again.

  • http://www.facebook.com/daniel.fundora.1 Daniel Fundora

Orton turn heel will be the best move for wwe especially to get back on top!
