On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, General Manager Booker T will announce that the SmackDown brand’s upcoming match will feature 6 wrestlers that will compete to determine who challenges for the World Heavyweight championship at WrestleMania 29.

According to a fan in Australia who has already seen tonight’s WWE SmackDown broadcast, the following 5 participants will be announced:

* Randy Orton
* Kane
* Daniel Bryan
* Jack Swagger
* The Great Khali

A sixth participant, rumored to be Sheamus, will be revealed later.

  • Anonymous18

I hope Jericho is the last one named and Sheamus is involved in a match against the shield in EC. Jericho wins. Ziggler cashes in the same night on Show or Del Rio, WHC match Jericho vs Ziggler WM29.

    • GodsLoyalSon

That’s a more logical option and probably the most likely thing to happen. I don’t see any reason behind booking Orton vs Sheamus in a WHC match at Mania when they have a fued that can do a better job

      • Bro88

Its easy to understand why WWE doesn’t want Ziggler vs Jericho for the title at Mania. Because they are completely ignorant and only want the wrestlers they choose to be in top spots even if they are both horrible at giving face promos and one can do nothing but brawl and power moves(Sheamus).

        • GodsLoyalSon

Well that is true but you also have to remember that this is wrestlemania, a show that they HAVE to book right. They had it right last year with Kane vs Orton since they had history before the match. This year I think they will do the right thing and book Ziggler vs Jericho, or hell, maybe they will make it a fatal between all four of them.

          • Bro88

A fatal four way would be a pretty exciting way to do it as long as the title changed hands some way or another. They could have Ziggler disappear(get “injured”, fed up, etc.) and have someone else win it and have him pop up and cash in out of nowhere. And when is the last time WWE booked WM right from beginning to end?

          • GodsLoyalSon

Well its hard to say that because they cant please everyone, I have read comments from people that say Money in the Bank 2011 was the worst ppv ever made and that it sucked beyond belief. So in my opinion I would say that the last well booked wrestlemania was 23, since every match had a build to it that worked. Wrestlemania 28 was another that I felt had proper booking because the main matches people wanted to see had a story behind it. Triple H and Undertaker wanted to end their era in the match that defined their careers with the man that did the same thing. Jericho wanted to reclaim his position as best in the world while Punk wanted to show that he was the best in the world. The Rock and Cena had a once in a lifetime match (I wish people would quit with that twice in a lifetime crap since they know why the match had that tagline) in which two stars of their eras met in a match that was booked in a way that had never been seen before. The rest of the card was okay but they should have booked some other matches that would allow the card to build anticipation along with properly setting the card to the degree that everyone would feel pumped for the main event.

          • Bro88

I know what you mean that you can’t please everyone but they should at least try to build matches properly instead of just throwing random matches together with no story, or a better story than the typical B.S. they try to force feed us. They put entirely too much of their own focus on the main event matches while ignoring the rest of the card. Its rare now to find WWE putting effort to every portion of the card.

          • GodsLoyalSon

But its the main events that attract peoples eyes. Remember, people are naturally stupid when they are picking to watch a show. They will not pick through shit worse then some of dumbest IWC members and they would alone go to something that attracts their eyes. Do you really think people watched Mania 28 because its wrestlemania? No it was because people saw that the Rock would be wrestling so they went. WWE knows that people could give two craps about an undercard because the main event is what sells a ppv. WWE has had several well stacked ppv cards last year, my favorite always being TLC, but it didn’t matter if the main event didnt sell the show first

      • WWEFan4Life

No, because we’ve already seen the orton vs sheamus feud in 2010, we do not need to see it again. a better way to go about this would be somehow give chris jericho the WHC until wrestlemania, where he will defend against Orton, the two greats will shake hands after the match because after wrestlemania, sesscoops said that jericho will be leaving, thats how I would like his legacy be left until the possible next time.

  • joeychizez

Please get Khali out of there! He can’t wrestle or even move around. Replace him with someone like Cesaro. And there is only one heel in this match as of right now. I could live with that as long as Khali is eliminated from the match.

    • WWEFan4Life

Yup, I think i speak for everyone when i say Khali does not need another push

    • cenasucks

      IT should be
      Randy Orton
      Kane
      Sheamus
      Daniel Bryan
      Dolph Ziggler
      Chris Jericho

Swagger could face Cesaro for the US title as it would make storyline sense

      • WWEFan4Life

NO! NO! NO! There would only be 1 heel, it would make no sense

      • AVPredator4985

Ziggler and Jericho don’t need the chamber match one bit. They can have a great match on their own

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/XYZ376VKJLNMGCHULY4N2LRSE4 Robert

Why would Ziggler fight for a title shot that he already has… that Money in the Bank contract already gives him a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship

        • Bro88

Simple logic here. The more title shots you have the higher your chances for wins. Ask Mr. Cena how well it works for him.

    • Jeff

I want Khali Heel AGAIN!Bring back the Punjabi Night Mare!

  • RyanStewart2007

    KHALI!!! REALLY! OMG. PUSH JTG!

  • currygoi

I’m pretty sure Mark Henry will attack Khali and get his spot.

    • Lita

^call that pulling an Edge. That would be epic

    • cenasucks

We said the same about Christian last year but Khali and Santino stayed in the match

  • phoenix

I’m sad to see Kane and Daniel Bryan up against each other. Great team, why have them against each other?

    • AVPredator4985

I think we may be seeing the beginning of the end of Team Hell No. Luckily the tag division has enough talent now to survive without them as champs

      • phoenix

I thought that as well. I wish they’d be a team longer. I feel WWE drops angles way too fast. They really need to be a part of history not just a blink.

  • Frank

WWE ARE DUMB! What that should do is put Y2J in the Chamber and then have Figger Cash in on Del Rio at EC PPV beat him and Y2J win the Chamber and there your 1st draw World Title Match at WM in 3 year!

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/XYZ376VKJLNMGCHULY4N2LRSE4 Robert

that sounds AWESOME and is probably the best option right now in my opinion

  • as

With this PG thing the business is dead. Guys like Kane and Khali playing clows it´s just repulsive.

    • AVPredator4985

Kane has a lot of talent. He’s agile for his size, and has great in-ring ability. PLUS, he actually has a character, unlike many current “Superstars”. He won’t win it, because he’ll most likely put someone else over. He’s great at that as well.

      • Name Goes Here

Kane deserves respect for always putting guys over year after year without complaining. He’s a true professional.

    • AVPredator4985

You’re right though, it’s sad the WWE doesn’t portray them as monsters like they should

  • AVPredator4985

Honestly, and my view on The Great Khali is different than most people’s, I think Khali still has a place in the WWE if they were to make him back into a monster. Sure, he’s no technical wrestler, but he is very unique as he does have size, and depending on his character, an intimidation factor. He used to destroy the likes of Triple H, John Cena, etc., because he was a monster. I don’t believe he should win the chamber, but he definitely could have a place in it. WWE still, and always will, need their big guys. As far as Dolph goes, he doesn’t need the chamber match. He already has the MITB briefcase, and can continue his feud with Jericho. We could see some great matches out them, and this gives Jericho the opportunity to put Ziggler over even more.

    • Name Goes Here

Khali can’t move any more. I agree that he deserves to be there and for WWE to use him for undercard matches but he’s no champ and shouldn’t be in this match.

  • Lemonz

I wish they have a storyline where someone takes out the Great Khali. I’d rather see Cesaro, Rhodes, or Sandow. Khali is terrible, all he can do is chop.

  • Big Johnny

    Swagger?

    • Big Johnny

      Khali?

  • Sisisi!

I can see Daniel Bryan and Kane breaking up before this, losing the belts to Rhodes Scholar.

  • omega riddler

randy orton heel turn coming, and why are people counting swagger as a babyface

  • wwetnadudez

Why does everyone want Khali out? He’s not Daniel Bryan in the ring but you guys do realize he is over seven feet tall? He’s a special attraction as a face and a destruction force as a heel and since he isn’t a heel he is that special attraction. He does know how to work the audience, you ever see the kids and even adults doing his dance? I’m not saying I want him as a champ but seriously look at him for what he is, not everyone needs to be an elite worlds best wrestler in World Wrestling ENTERTAINMENT.

    • Bro88

The reason people want him out is he isn’t enjoyable to watch. He doesn’t need to be a technical master but he simply cannot move anymore. He absolutely can’t run, can’t sell any move at all. The thing is an entertaining act may have its place but not in the World Heavyweight Championship number one contender’s match. Acts like that belong on the lower card while serious acts belong in the main event. Yes main eventers can have fun and be entertaining but they’ve gotta be able to be serious. Khali can’t be serious anymore because he legitimately can’t be a monster. A monster can rip through people but with his lack of mobility he can’t do that. He’s had knee surgeries among other thing and when you combine that with someone of his size and weight its destructive to how well they can get around. Therefore he can not and should not be in the match someone who will help carry this company into the future should be in it before a comedy act.

  • GMpunk

Hopefully Khali gets “injured” and replaced with a much more talented wrestler..

  • 5er

I think it would be cool if khali went on a Beserker rage and just beat everyone down, and won the damn thing. Maybe he could grab hornswaggle and use him as a baseball bat.

I alright see how this is going to turn out. Randy Orton is going to win the Elimination Chamber going off to face Alberto Del Rio. By March he should be a full heel, facing Del Rio and winning the World Heavyweight Championship. After their WM match, Dolph Ziggler will come out and cash it in on Orton leading into a Orton/Dolph feud. The only odd thing about this, will it be two heels facing off against each other or would they turn Dolph face?

Kane & Daniel Bryan might be affected by this match once it’s over. Khali is there for the same reason why Morrison was put in these type of matches, he’s to do something “Big”

    • jccox01

Kane and Daniel Bryan are going to drop the titles at wrestlemania and either feud with each other or just go their separate ways. I thought they would have dropped them at elimination chamber and have kane turn heel.

      • http://www.facebook.com/ldozier3 Lorenzo Dozier

So far Daniel’s in it but Kane isn’t. If it gets confirmed Kane goes in the chamber, I can see them breaking up after they lose their belts to Rey & Sin Cara.

  • TheKillingMoon

Why of all the wrestlers do they have to include the not so great Khali? Man this is bullshit.

  • Kris Mystery

Khali??? LMAO…. He can barely walk let alone wrestle!!! Everytime i see him walking i keep expecting his legs to give out under him.

Khali? Khali in a EC match is an injustice! *The Shields theme song music hits*

They should have Kane win and then win the WHC.. he would be the oldest WHC champ ever at age 45… Taker was 44… Kane is 2nd oldest when he won it in 2010 at the age of 43.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=16734450 Brandon Sco??

Kane vs Taker at WM…. for his final match!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=16734450 Brandon Sco??

    Khali? wtf really.
