*Spoilers* WWE SmackDown Tapings Results For Friday

WWE taped this week’s episode of Smackdown on Tuesday night from Lafayette, Louisiana. Here are ongoing spoiler results:

– John Cena came out and talked about WrestleMania XXX, declaring that we are now entering a new era in WWE. Cena said that he is the measuring stick and the standard bearer – and anybody who wants to be somebody has to go through him. The Wyatt Family appeared on the big screen. Bray Wyatt said he can’t stop smiling and that he will have to go to new extremes to bring the monster out of Cena.

– Cesaro defeated Big Show by DQ. Paul Heyman came out and introduced “The King of Swing” – who did not come out to entrance music. Heyman was on commentary for the match. The crowd was mixed towards Cesaro, who worked mostly as a heel. The match when Jack Swagger came out and put the ankle lock on Cesaro. Cesaro performed the Neutralizer on Big Show after the match was over.

– Ryback and Curtis Axel defeated Los Matadores.

– Rob Van Dam defeated Damien Sandow. RVD cut a short promo before the match and was very over with the crowd.

– Hulk Hogan came out and talked about WrestleMania becoming “YES-lemania.” He called out Daniel Bryan, who said this is the best week of his life. Aside from his big win at WrestleMania, he’s getting married to Brie Bella as well. Bryan talked about idolizing Hogan as a child and requested for Hogan’s music to be played. Hogan and Bryan did Hogan’s signature posing routine in the ring and Hogan then started a Yes! chant. The crowd went nuts for this.

– Bad News Barrett defeated Kofi Kingston. The crowd was very split for this match.

– Fandango defeated Santino in a short match. Santino had Emma with him, while Layla was in Fandango’s corner (no Summer Rae).

– The Usos and Daniel Bryan fought Kane, Batista, and Randy Orton to a double count out. The heels spent most of the match beating down one of the Usos. He finally tagged in Daniel Bryan and the place erupted. The Usos and Daniel Bryan did a spot where all three men dove through the ropes onto the heels, which got a big pop. Both teams got counted out.

Orton and Batista then destroyed the Usos in the ring. Kane was about to hit Daniel Bryan with a steel chair when The Shield appeared from the crowd. They chased off Batista and Orton. Kane was about to use a steel chair on The Shield until Daniel Bryan knocked him out with his running knee. The show ended with The Shield and Daniel Bryan celebrating together.

Cena’s promo sounds kind of heelish if you ask me. Well from the way that they wrote it here.

The day Cena turns heel is the day I stop eating fruity pebbles and we both know I’m never going to stop eating fruity pebbles.

    • Daniel Bryan

What I like is that they’re setting up for another match at Extreme Rules. These two have put on good matches together and I hope we see a good stipulation match between the two.

Bray talking about how he will have to go to “new extremes” is a hint at it.

I don’t see a Cena heel turn happening this soon.

If they want to turn Cena heel I wouldn’t mind it happening at WM 31. If they plan on doing that I would keep Bryan champion for the full year. Continue to build him, he’ll be insanely over with the fans the way I see it. Then you have him go up against Cena in the main event. The match builds as a Face vs Face match…you have Cena cutting promos at how proud he is of Bryan and complimenting Bryan for all he’s done. You have them both played off as great friends, Total Divas and all. Keep Cena playing up the Bryan respect angle until he destroys him at Mania playing a slight role of a heel in the match itself. Or better yet you have him cheat to win and take the title off Bryan.

This allows a perfect opening segment for Raw after Mania next year. You have Cena come out celebrating as the champion (still officially a face) and do his normal entrance with the fans, high fives with the kiddos, the whole nine yards. Then you let Cena cut a ‘pipe bomb’ heel promo. You let him lay it all on the line, let Cena really be himself and let the fans have it. He’d have enormous legit heel heat on top of the heat he would have from Daniel Bryan. Cena would make a perfect monster heel and he would be fresh again. This also keeps Bryan over (and in the end helps him tremendously) and you have them feud for several months. Cena destroys everyone and really plays off being a heel. Then you have them with the ultimate rematch at Summerslam. An extremely over Face in Bryan vs a monster heel in John Cena. The match would sell and it’s a feud I would love to see. Heel Cena is light years better than Cena ever can be as a face. He’s a natural heel, similar to HHH, they fit that role well.

Cena has put on some amazing matches in his day. He just has to find that person to work with. Cena & Punk have good matches. Bryan & Cena. Bray & Cena! Edge & Cena! Its annoying to know that people think that the 5 moves of doom always show up but personally I have seen many great Cena matches where he does things no one even expects! Crazy if you ask me..

      • gdaddy1971

Nice in theory, but keep dreaming…NEVER going to happen.

the day mr cena become heel is the day mr griffin give me freedom

    • Stone

I believe their names are Mr. John & Mr. Peter… are you sure you’re the real Consuela and not just some imposter?

  • Jeremy-County Roberts

The Shield as faces makes me sad. :(

  • Matt Gallagher

The day cena turns heel is the day when Daniel Bryan merchandise sells more than john cenas

    • Daniel Bryan

It would help if they had better Bryan merch. The goat stuff is ugly, from the boring colors to the poor designs, they need to improve them. As far as your post you’re completely right, it is entirely about $$$$.

      • Matt Gallagher

I like the yes with Bryan’s face on them

  • nBonThaBeat

I freakin’ hope the crowd keeps up with the “Bray’s gonna kill you” chants!

  • smartin2293

1 year ago who would have thought we’d see “the show ends with Daniel Bryan and the SHIELD celebrating together”

I cannot remember the last time we had a dominant FACE faction…its awesome!

  • one warrior nation

Lets get some fresh talent to replace Santino. How about Tyson Kidd to get some more spots ? And now without Funk, Players and Americans, there is empty space for 3 new tag teams. I’ll probably skip WWE on TV for the next few weeks. With the Warrior gone, I’m not interested in seeing yet another Cena talkfest. The roster this year is very thin compared to the Wrestlemania 6-7-8 era.

    • raVen

you are crazy. this roster is the best roster in years.
you have a great mix of young guys that are so talented and older guys who are established. wwe has a great future lined up for the first time since Brock was The Next Big Thing and Cena was rapping.

  • satishwarne708

This is the new era of talented Face stables.Monster heel and his thugs who are the 3rd most popular guys in the roster. The smallest yet best wrester is the champion.Independent wrestlers are getting good spots.Part timers doing their brief spot well.Streaks being ended theoretically and literary,I got to say not that bad of an era!

Cena promo translation: ” I’m going to bury anyone who tries to be a top star .”

    • gdaddy1971

Give up the burying crap…it’s getting really old.

      • insomniacreviewer

I’ll give up when Cena does the right thing and puts more people over.

        • gdaddy1971

Cena puts people over when it is needed. Creative controls who wins and how it is done…it’s not burying people!!

          • insomniacreviewer

Cena doesn’t put over nearly enough people look at Sandow and Cena has enough pull to say no this guy needs to get put over but Cena doesn’t.

          • gdaddy1971

Yes, you are right. Cena should just lose to everyone and tell creative to push everybody whether they have talent or not. You are ridiculous.

          • insomniacreviewer

Cena shouldn’t lose all the time but when it’s time to put people over he needs to do the right thing.
