“That night, I couldn’t sleep. My husband asked me what was wrong and I told him. ‘I just can’t stop thinking about that little boy and his dad. I wish there was some way we could help them.’ And my husband simply said, ‘You did. For four hours last night that little boy didn’t feel sick, he didn’t even think about being sick, and that is the greatest gift you could give.’ I knew he was right.”

This choked me up. My best friend growing up went through a lot of cancer. He survived, but there were times it didn’t look like he was. There were times he just felt like giving up.

Sorry to hear. I lost my grandma which I really loved (because she practically raised me) to cancer, and I couldn’t even be there when she passed. For months it really bothered me.

I’m sorry for your loss and as well as you not being able to make it, you never know when a life is going to be taken you just have to have a positive outlook and keep moving forward.
