The Rock Attached To New “Teddy Bear” Movie, Dolph Ziggler Visits Childrens’ Hospital

- The Hollywood Reporter reports that WWE superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is attached to produce and potentially star in a film tentatively titled “Teddy Bear.” Movie concepts are derived from a wide variety of inspirations, such as dreams. The idea for “Teddy Bear” came from a drawing. THR reports:

“The picture in question was drawn by Alex Panagopoulos, a Greek software engineer turned fantasy artist. It features a little girl asleep in bed while a small brown teddy bear — brandishing a laughably small wooden sword and shield — holds an enormous, fanged monster at bay. And in the fashion of a motivational poster, a caption reads “Teddy Bears: Protecting innocent children from monsters under the bed since 1902.”

- Dolph Ziggler is currently “down under,” doing promotional work for WWE in Australia. Ziggler visited the Westmead Children’s Hospital on Tuesday and tweeted the following:

      My favorite now completely filthy doll saved me from being horrified when I was younger. It’s a comfort thing. As for Ziggler, maybe they did this as the start of his face turn. I know most people are opposed to it, but I’d like to see him ditch AJ. I think it’d be hilarious.

    This is why making him a face would make sense. Ziggles is always doing things like this. It would be like turning Cena heel, knowing all he does for Make A Wish. I love it when Superstars do things like this. It proves they aren’t just worried about the size of their paycheck. It really makes them seem like real, caring people.

      I’m not taking anything away from Ziggler or any other star on the roster because making charity appearances is always a great thing to see, but the appearances are arranged by WWE and not necessarily the stars themselves. It comes with the job.

          I never said that they didn’t want to do it. Ziggler was sent on a “promotional tour” for WWE in Australia, which means he will be doing promotional work for WWE while he’s out there, following a schedule that has been assigned to him by the WWE which will include a combination of charity and media-related appearances, and this was obviously one of those appearances.

          I’m not taking anything away from the stars for their charity work, but, like I said, it comes with the job.

        wwe wants the cenas and sheamuss to do these but for a heel to do them it takes extra.
        this is something ziggler is known to push for. he wants to do these things it’s not wwe wanting him to do them. shoot they don’t even want him to have a fan base as made clear by his win loss record.

    I kinda wish things like aren’t reported because it cheapens the effect it had. Sure its awesome to know that Ziggler took the time to see a kid that could use a moment to feel special, but I’d rather it stay with the kid because that was just for him not for people to kiss up to the guys charity work. Other than that, its nice to see Ziggler do something for someone just to brighten his day.

        Because the only thing people are going to do with this is kiss the guys ass over something that WE ALL should do. You know why its cheapens it? Because in reality everyone is an asshole in their own right. There are so many homeless people in the world yet what have any of us done about it? It took a cop giving a guy a pair of boots just to get people to care about it for a day. Nobody should know when a person does good, only the giver, the receiver, and God should know about it; no one else. I have fed homeless people multiple times, I have taken time out of my day to make someone feel good about their lives several times, I busted my ass to get christmas presents for a family because the guys disability short changed him to the point that he had to choose against getting his kids something, I had to work my ass off for the two years straight to keep my grades in school straight just so that I could get financial aid to help pay off some of my mothers debts. Did you need to know that? No you didn’t because its not your bussiness to know just as its not mine to know that Ziggler made a kids day or that Cena probably granted his 350th wish today. You want to know the truth? I don’t go to childrens hospitals to entertain the kids because I don’t have time to do it; the performers do, and when they do it all we do as on-lookers say “Oh that shows what kind of person he is” or the famous “He’s such a good person” bullshit people like to say when they know that they won’t attempt to do it one time. This is the type of thing that doesn’t need to be exposed to people that are to lazy to do the damn thing themselves. Why do we have to know that Ziggler visited a kid in the hospital? because its a nice thing to do? Bullshit; we aren’t even going to remember it until he does it again. This is why I hate charity bullshit celeberties try to drag people through and try to point out how good a person is when its just a publicity stunt to get over with the public so they can get awards for their good deeds. Charity is meant to make people feel good, not some publicity stunt to make people see someone in a good light for a day.
