The Rock’s Next Movie, Twitter Meeting Update, WWE’s New Hire

– Production crews have already started setting up for the The Rock’s next movie, Pain & Gain. The Rock and Mark Wahlberg will star in the film, which will be directed by Michael Bay (Transformers). Filming begins in Miami on Tuesday, April 6th.

– As we reported earlier in the week, WWE held a meeting backstage at RAW on Monday to discuss talent’s use of Twitter. According to a source who was at the meeting, Vince McMahon came across at the meeting as being obsessed with being able to call WrestleMania the “Social Media Event of the Year.” Talent was instructed to use WWE-related hastags during WrestleMania weeekend.

– WWE has hired a three-time All American volleyball player and volleyball executive Canyon Ceman as the new Senior Director of Talent Relations. This is the job previously held by Ty Bailey, who was released last month.

Ceman is Triple H’s first big executive hire for developmental. Several people in FCW have questioned if Ceman will be able to scout talents, while other WWE officials feel his sports management knowledge will help him succeed.
