The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania XXX

will put his streak on the line once again when he faces at .

Undertaker returned to WWE at the conclusion of Monday’s RAW and confronted Lesnar, who was awarded an open contract to fight anybody at WrestleMania. Brock Lesnar signed the contract first and then gave Taker the pen. Paul Heyman told The Undertaker that to sign the contract if he wants the match. Undertaker took the pen and stabbed Lesnar’s hand with it, grabbed him by the throat and chokeslammed him right through the table that was set up in the ring. The crowd broke into a “holy sh*t” chant and Michael Cole said, “I take that as a yes.”

WrestleMania XXX takes place on Sunday, April 6th from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome from New Orleans, Louisiana.

  • the4thwiseman

    22-0

  • pwnez

I actually liked the ending of raw. It was an ok set up for their feud. I also like Undertaker’s new look; sort of reminds me of ministry Undertaker.

    • Buzzard Follower

the beard and buggy eyes yep looked just like ministry taker. 22-0 and good luck not getting hurt deadman

      • SOBI

        ..

        • Buzzard Follower

          that is just awesome

    • SOBI

Yeah He looked like an Evil dark lord
suits his gimmick and his age :D

  • A Realist

And so much for Sting. It truly was a now or never. Ah well.

    • Hollywood Cena

he’s debuting the night after wrestlemania when taker announce his retirement

      • oldtimer

        Sting v’s Taker WM31

    • pwnez

Something big always happens the night after WrestleMania and with talks of him possibly signing soon I think we could see Sting debut the night after ‘Mania to challenge the Undertaker. It could be another Rock/Cena situation.

      • Josh Foley

if anybody can have a year long build and make it interesting, it would be sting and taker

    • G.I.R.L.

Don’t give up until Summerslam has passed. That’s the #2 PPV.

    • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

True enough, but we don’t really know what the specifics of it not happening were. Who knows what is going on. My initial instinct is he will probably end up back in TNA, though I don’t know. With the WWE Network exploding and Sting being all over that, there’s definitely more of a possibility of him showing up.

To be honest, I think last night would have been the perfect moment to have Taker vs Sting set up. Taker is looking pretty thin, and a bit dated, I think him and Sting could have worked a decent paced match that would have been epic. But I’ll settle for Lesnar/Taker. And as some of the people posted below, there’s always hope for next year or SS… Though more than likely, I can see Stinger ending up back in TNA.

  • Stacey Holt

Not really looking forward to ‘Taker/Lesnar simply because I don’t think the match will be any good.

    • the4thwiseman

Going to be brutal.. Will be a fight..

    • dae

Unfortunately, it won’t be nothing more than brawl with ‘Taker probably taking an F5 and kicking out, sitting up, dodging a Lesnar attack and hitting him with the Hell’s Gates or Tombstone at the end.

    • Johnson

I feel the same way… been feeling it since it was rumored earlier in the year. It’ll be a pseudo MMA brawl type match and nothing like their better matches in ’02. I wish it was Taker/Cena.

    • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

I think the match will be decent… My biggest problem with it is that there is not even the slightest possibility here that they’d put Lesnar, a part-timer, over. I know that there’s rarely any likelihood of Taker jobbing at WM, but it would be nice to be able to buy into the tease – even a bit.

  • dae

    Geeee… Didn’t see that coming….
It better be a good match despite we all know the ending because WWF/E would be stupid to break the streak with a part-timer.
But, then again, this is the same company that has its heart set on Orton-Batista despite both guys getting booed out the building…

  • dae

With all the guys in the lockerroom that could be put over despite a loss, they pair ‘Taker with part-timer Lesner instead. Seriously, I’d rather see ‘Taker/Fandango than ‘Taker/Lesner.
So, at WM30, we have Lesner/Taker and Orton/Batista. Really, those two matches aren’t going to sell a $60 program or $60 for six months of the network.

    • Abz

You didnt just say that did u lol. Taker and fandango, what the hell? No one wants to see that. If theres anyone takers got left to face is dabiel bryan, cesaro, cena, roman reigns or bray wyatt from the existing roster. Otherwise from the part timers its either The Rock or Y2J. Me personally I would love to see Y2J vs taker or bryan, bur the kid in me wouldnt mind seeing the rock pick on undertakers mickey mouse tatoos one more time lmao.

    • AVPredator4985

It isn’t ALWAYS about putting someone over you know. Sometimes two big stars have to face each other.

    • Ares

You’d rather see Fandango vs Undertaker than Brock Lesnar? What?

      • oldtimer

I personally want to see Fandan-GO

    • JaffaJoose

I still say Ziggler is my ideal pick.

  • lunchbox87

Could be a good match, and i agree they could of paired him up with someone else younger to help them get over at-least these 2 have a history.Only thing im not looking forward to is the Brock fans ” he would totally win in a real fight” comments,News flash im not interested in who would win a real fight. if i did i would watch UFC

^The reason I got into wrestling

    • msk343

Undertaker was my first favourite wrestler… I totally loved the classic Undertaker with long hair covering his face..

    • RealKRone88

      Cool GIF.

  • JC

This match could be the only hope for WMXXX, and because of that I’m Slowly losing hope of WMXXX

  • Jaffa

I am really not looking forward to his match. I don’t think they’ll be able to have a very long one, because Undertaker can’t take too much of Lesnar’s hard offense wihout risking injury, so I feel like the match is going to be disappoining.

    • Killer queen

      You know nothing.

      • JaffaJoose

True. And I legitimatey hope to be proven wrong. I just don’t have a good feeling about it.

  • the4thwiseman

I like how everyone thinks they know, what kind of shape Taker is in. You don’t . Yeah he is older. Had a lot of injuries in his career. But he is experienced ,I’m sure he knows how to work his match. He pulls off a great match every year.

    • JaffaJoose

Again, true – I don’t know what shape Taker is in, really. But they give him most of the year off to keep him healthy for Wrestlemania. That shows that they’re concerned about injuries, too. Now, I don’t think he’ll get hurt at Mania, but I do worry that Brock Lesnar’s offense will be watered down to PREVENT Taker from getting hurt.

  • Jack

This is going to be the worst wrestlemania in a long long time. However it wont be undertaker and lesnars fault, im sure they will put on a decent 15-20 minute match, they had an amazing fued years ago and know each other well. However it was so obvious once the crowed found out that Daniel Bryan wanted to face triple h and wouldnt be headlining wrestlemania, support for him has dropped

  • Daniel Bryan

Taker vs Sting is more of a Summerslam match for me than a Mania match. 6-7 years ago I could see it at Mania but we’ve passed that stage.

    • AVPredator4985

Why? Because it won’t be as technically sound? Just the face-off of these two huge stars that have never gone face to face (with their current characters) is Wrestlemania worthy. It’s not always about the quality of the match, it’s the story being told.

      • G.I.R.L.

I think it’s better fit for SummerSlam as well. Will definitely influence me to buy. At Mania, there are way too many big matches and it may get overshadowed.

        • Paul Kersey

What at this Wrestlemania could possibly overshadow Taker vs. Sting? This WM is shaping up to be glorified Raw show.

        • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

I agree with you to an extent, but I feel Sting/Taker would have been epic at this years WMXXX. Fact is, it wouldn’t be a classic no matter what, but the atmosphere and set-up to the feud has a whole lot of potential. Heck I checked out Starcade 97 last night and Sting/Hogan was still awesome, and it was a ridiculously slow match with a botched finish. It’s all about the atmosphere they created and what they did to get to that point – it was just awesome.

Sting/Taker would steal the show with that atmosphere alone, no matter what PPV they were put on. I think WMXXX would have been perfect considering all the old names that seem to be coming back for it, but Sting is a WCW guy above all else, so maybe it’s best not to throw him in the mix with all the old-WWE dudes.

Here’s hoping we see Taker/Sting some day. Would be pretty epic.

        • AVPredator4985

What match can you possibly think of that is likely to occur at next year’s Wrestlemania that could possibly overshadow The Undertaker vs. Sting???

  • payton

    I AM HYPE!!!

  • AVPredator4985

I loved the ending segment! Taker’s beard is reminiscent of his Ministry of Darkness days, and makes him look just that much more BADA**!

  • No Nonsense

Undertaker looked in good shape his arms were toned for a man his age and he looked in good health, I reckon he has been training for Mania since Sept 2013 so a good 6-7 months of getting his game back to being Mania fresh leads me to believe him and Lesnar will definitely put on a classic.

  • Steve Williams

Good another match for Brock to lose…
That’s why real fights are better than fake ones

    • Danny

      Shutup.

  • RealKRone88

    Looking forward to this.

  • Progressed_Now

    “spot the difference” time!!!

    • Killthecrown

Not much of a difference except he’s older and the goatee was longer, and he had long hair.

      • Progressed_Now

yeah the phrase was more rhetorical………

  • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

The second that gong rang I just said to my self, please Taker, don’t get hurt in this one. lol.

I rather enjoyed Taker being the one to challenge someone as opposed to the opposite. With him getting the upper hand tonight, my guess is at some point prior to WMXXX, we’re going to get an epic Taker beatdown at the hands of Lesnar.

Should be a decent one. With Cena/Bray in question, Lesnar/Taker makes WMXXX somewhat intriguing. Short of that, this card is looking pretty lackluster so far.

  • valo

id rather see undertaker vs. roman reigns.

  • Callum

    what an awesome match coming

  • The Zee

Honestly, I think it would be pretty badass if they had Bray Wyatt vs Undertaker for Wrestlemania.

  • Ayatollah of rock N rolla

I think Taker will be fine. Yeah he’s wrestled his arse off for 20+ years but he has had plenty of rest these past few years with the 1 show practically a year. So with all the rest he should be fine, the night after mania, eh he’ll be beat due to him busting his arse on mania.

  • Bob Singer

We need Roman Reigns groomed as the next acolyte and eventually, the NEW Undertaker. Matches with the Dead Man where they both disappear at the end after the pinfall win by the Undertaker, and then Roman shows up in Undertaker like garb….

  • satishwarne708

    OH hell yeah!

  • Neil Blanckenberg

It should have been The Undertaker vs. Daniel Bryan with Bryan to break the streak. If it can be justified that anybody breaks the streak it would be Bryan. The fans would really be split on this one. Lesnar is a part time WWE wrestler (like the Undertaker to be fair) and it would not have a good reaction if he broke the streak. This is a very predictable win for The Undertaker.
