Update On WWE’s Search For New Divas, Sarah ‘Sarita’ Stock Joins Twitter, WWE House Show Attendance

– WWE is currently holding a “Diva Search” style training camp in Los Angeles, California, in hopes of discovering new female talent following numerous departures since last year. Bill DeMott, who serves as head trainer for WWE’s developmental program, is presiding over the camp. Ten candidates from various modeling agencies are being paid to train for several weeks and those who impress company officials will be offered developmental contracts.

Independent wrestler and model Reby Sky, cryptically remarked on the talent search via Twitter Wednesday: “Oh, all you women’s wrestling “purists” are going to LOVE the new diva search girls ! Just love em ! Bahahaha …” She then added: “They’re using my agency to book girls for the new Diva Search. MODEL AGENCY.”

– The former Sarita, Sarah “Dark Angel” Stock, who parted ways with TNA Wrestling last month, is now on Twitter @SSDarkAngel. She confirmed the account on her Facebook page. The internationally-acclaimed grappler will be traveling to Japan next week for a lengthy tour with female wrestling promotion Stardom.

– In WWE attendance notes, last Thursday’s Raw live event in Doha, Qatar, drew 3,500 and $500,000. Friday’s Raw show in Doha, Qatar, drew 3,000 paying $500,000. Saturday’s Raw show in Istanbul, Turkey, drew 3,000 and $200,000. Saturday’s SmackDown live event in Waco, Texas, which featured The Undertaker’s first WWE appearance since WrestleMania, drew 4,500 paying $160,000. Sunday’s SmackDown live event in College Station, Texas, drew 4,000 and $110,000.

    Model Agency? Wut……

People would rather see models than actual ugly female wrestlers.

Theres an in between though, Eve Torres, Beth, Natalya, Mickie, the list could go on and on. I of course want hot women rather than ugly but at least be able to wrestle.

A buddy of mine told me the WWE doesn’t like to get the chicks that can “wrestle” because they are not trained properly, and get bad habits from working the indy scene. Personally, I don’t really care for female wrestlers. They are just eye candy to me.

as i understood from those video blogs of Michelle McCool, WWE is afraid of women wrestling as good or even better than midcard male wrestlers. i kind of understand it, because if two girls put up a great match, then no one would want to see Kofi Kingston fighting David Otunga after.

PS i have no problem watching women like ODB or Jillian Hall (they are not considered hot in WWE) if they are sklilled in ring. actually i would better watch two ugly chics put up a great match, not Kelly Kelly wrestling some other model with no wrestling skills having a 30 second fight.

Thats what they are to like 3/4 of the WWE audience

it was cool though to see awesome kong kill the knockouts but she messed it up

          • wwetnadudez

Thats true, she was the exception, I looked forward to seeing Kong for two reasons, she was a monster and she looked crazy AF

  • 2Sweet

I loved Sarita in TNA, she had such thick sexy thighs and did that dance every minute during her matches. She looked so good, I was always fully aroused watching her matches.. I wish she’d come to WWE.

Great Reby….go back to riding Fatt Hardy’s cotails….NO TALENT AGENCY

I’m sorry, but that sentence right there makes me question the point of this. WWE’s diva’s division is nonexistent at this point and any attempts to revive it will be futile until they get women in there that can actually wrestle. Women’s wrestling can be marketable if done right and they have actual talent on their roster. Hell, UFC just proved women can sell ppvs Saturday night with that Ronda Rousy fight. No reason WWE can’t put a more serious focus on the diva’s division and feature some beautiful women that can wrestle.

i mean if their philosophy could be if the model is hot and athletic, hopefully Del Ray will be able to train them well, if that is the case and it works i have no problem with that

What about Paige, Emma, Audrey Marie sexy and can wrestle.

  • JMM2K

Whats the matter Reby, didn’t get the call & now bitter, time to make Matt another sandwich

  • Trevor

Hire a bunch of models with no passion so they can quit WWE in 4 years! Endless cycle!

correct me if I’m wrong but I swear Reby Sky only started wrestling when she started going out with Matt which was pretty much when he started making his way out of WWE in 2010/2011 I think (or might’ve been sooner, not sure)…and she posed for Playboy and everything…so I’m not sure why she’s giving it like she’s been wrestling for donkeys years and wasn’t a model when she first started…=/
