Too many different buyrate figures coming from different sources. I’m going to take any figure I see from now on with a grain of salt until the final official buyrate is released.

Going to completely agree with you on that one. Plus I think once it hits over the Million $ mark, no matter if it’s 1.0 mil or 1.3 mil, I think the WWE should be happy. If it was anything below or short of 1 million buys, there would have been major disappointment and I think even now that we don’t know exactly the amount of buys it is, but if we had a feeling it was below one million buys, our tone would have been different. The fact is WWE did over a million buys for the second or third Mania in a row (can’t remember how much WM26 did) and the company is probably really glad about that.

I agree, it makes no sense. WM last year did 1.1 so why would they lower their expectations to 1.0? That’s backwards thinking. With the rock involved in the ppv and possibly undertakers last wm match, I know they are expecting better numbers than that.

the buyrate is that way and that’s the bottom line because SNOTE CLOD said so. Gimme a Hey Yall.

You mean Snote Clod Nav Mad Mmade? .whatever.)

Seeing as though these numbers are just guesses we might as well wait until we get a definite buyrate. 1.1 isn’t bad but I guess I would be a little disappointed if that was the actual number.

Like I said in my reply to “AC”, anything above 1.0 million buys I think should put a smile on WWE Corporate faces. Anything below in my book would have been a major disappointment and even you and I would have been talking a different if there was any indication that the buyrate for WM28 was below one million buys. I believe this is either the 2nd or 3rd WM in a row that did over a million buys, WWE should be happy. Yes it might be below their expectations, but not to the point that it’s an disappointing number. Again, I think anything below 1.0 million would be unacceptable and extremely disappointing for this specific event.

They should be happy but knowing how Vince McMahon is he and the officials will be disappointed. McMahon won’t look at it in a positive way. I guess they figured the one year in the making match would draw much bigger. Then again, like discussions on other articles, streaming sites i’m sure took a little chunk out of their buyrates. I’m not sure how many people are willing to spend 60-70 dollars for a PPV.

Anything below a million would kill McMahon inside and yes, that would be extremely disappointing. It’s weird though, if 1.1 million is the buyrate for this PPV, that would mean ‘Mania 23 gathered more buys.

Balls looks much much older than Dustin Runnels though, haha.

what the hell? what happened to 1.9 million?? lol Are these just domestic numbers or global?

  • jccox01

No one buys PPV’s anymore. live streaming has took half their cash away.

  • Franll2507

And to remember a week or so ago they were projecting 1.9 million buys lol That’s a huge drop.

Either way, I know they wanted more money out of the buyrate, but you gotta remember people are smart as well and most will get together and have a Wrestlemania party at one house with 10 people :)
No need to feel it’s a disappointment from the entertainment point of view. Money view, yeah but eh well..

damn a million buys at $45 a peice? Too bad everyone is too busy living in fear now that shane douglas put them on notice. Vkm is scared, he knows a well advertised douglas event could easily draw 12 people @ $5 a ticket. Rip wwe
