WWE Gives Away Result To Upcoming Match, Photos Of 8/2 Raw
– At Wednesday’s SmackDown television taping in Laredo, Texas — airing next Friday — Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Though the title switch has yet to be officially acknowledged by WWE, Ziggler is nonetheless working as the belt’s holder during the company’s ongoing tour of Australia. The former Spirit Squad member retained the championship against Kingston at last night’s SmackDown live event in Sydney.
– During a sequence taped last Monday in San Antonio, Texas, Melina made her return to the squared circle — her first appearance inside a WWE ring in seven months. She performed a run-in following a Six-Diva Tag Match pitting Alicia Fox, Jillian and Tamina against Eve, Gail Kim and Natalya, attacking the Divas Champion. The attack culminated with Fox being laid out by the multi-time champion’s finishing maneuver, the Sunset Split.
SuperLuchas.net has posted images of Melina’s return to the ring, which will be televised this Monday night on Raw.

That is awesome news! No, not Melina’s return, Ziggler’s Title win. He deserves it. Best ring psychologist in the WWE. His style reminds me a lot of Eddie Gilbert. These two never just went from spot to spot, but rather wrestle a well thought out match with strategies and tactics. Dolph is totally someone that you could put the world title on, he just needs a push.
btw, his name is fine. People get used to horrible or weird names after a while, i.e. Pearl Jam, Macaulay Culkin, etc. After hearing them for a while we forget how dumb the names are. I’m starting to like the name actually, it only took me about 2 years.

dolph will prob never b world champ. I just cnt see it. Good midcarder but the way he is i see him as just tht…a midcarder. Unless his gimmick changes he prob wont main-event. For being a main eventer for the title you will have to be a huge baby-face to the extreme (like Cena or Mysterio), a nice and serious heel (like Barrett, Jericho, maybe Punk), or a maniac (like Edge, maybe Orton, etc.).
So, Ziggler will have to adopt some of those ways into his characters, and STOP being linked with Vicky Guerrero. When Ziggler appeared some years ago, physically i compared him with Sid Vicious, because of his back combed hair, also his blonde dying hair, his black leather outfit (trousers and vest)…..so, if he takes a maniac personality like Sid had, maybe he will do some good points.
If WWE wants Sid back for some time, let him manage Ziggler for a time.
@ the difference being of course that sid was over 300 lbs and was close to 7 ft tall whereas dolph is about 220 and is only just 6 ft, not that i don’t like ziggler i think he’s pretty good and i wouldn’t have been surprised if he won MITB,i just don’t get this comparrison with sid dolph would not have the size to pull off a gimmick like that,i see him more as a blatant heel that gets few clean wins

good to see zigler get his chance, hes worked hard & has been given setbacks & not had the same push as guys like mc intyre,miz or kingston. hopefully now it will be christians turn to get given a push & get rewarded for carrying ecw for 12 months & making hie return from the ground up.
