WWE Confirms RVD At HOF, RVD Speaks On Potential Of A WWE Return

As we noted earlier today, The Score reporter Arda Ocal reported that former TNA Wrestling performer was in attendance at the WWE 2013 induction ceremony.

WWE.com has since confirmed ’s presence at the event (and a photo of RVD with Paul Heyman, Tommy Dreamer and Joey Styles has surfaced) in a new article on their official website.

The WWE.com website article features comments from RVD. “I’m here to support my boy Booker T,” noted the former Mr. Monday Night. He continued, “[It’s great] seeing a lot of guys I haven’t seen since I left.”

WWE.com also asked Van Dam if he would ever return to the company in the future. To that, “The Whole F’N Show” simply replied, “There’s always a chance.”

To be honest, in WWE there are a few really great wrestlers who RVD could have epic matches with (Punk, Ziggler, Bryan, Rhodes etc) however, in TNA there is the X Division which would most likely always be replenished with new high flyers as time goes by so I reckon RVD will stay with TNA for the fact that there will be a lot more high flyers. Regardless, I am a huge fan of RVD and his unique style and would watch him wherever he goes.

I want to see a Punk vs RVD match soooo bad! Just imagine the pressure Heyman would be in if he returns and feuds with Punk. Punk of course would pull the straight-edge card on RVD, given his track record but imagine the 5-Star matches they would have. They could also build it to an ECW Original vs ECW New Breed type thing. Idk, there are so many ways you can steer the storyline.

I believe it says, “Former TNA Wrestling Performer”

  • A Paul Heyman Guy

I hope to see the return of the WHOLE F’N SHOW he who would make a big impact back in the WWE..

If he does come back, I believe Taker is gonna beat Punk then Punk takes a couple months off. HHH beats Lesnar… Lesnar leaves till Summerslam. The Rock loses to Cena, Cena becomes champion… Next night on Raw, in Cena’s main event match, he gets attacked and receives a 5-Star Frog Splashed by RVD. He challenges him to an extreme rules match for the championship at the Extreme Rules PPV with Heyman by his side.

        that would be epic.

Just like Jericho, RVD should come back, work some solid matches like always does, and help make some stars out of the new guys who deserve it, I freakin hope this will come to fruition :D

  • Jaydon

It’d be cool to see him return and put some young stars over like Ziggler and Fandango.

    RVD vs. Punk

    RVD vs. Ziggler

    RVD vs. Cesaro

    RVD vs. Bryan

Matches I’d pay for if they were built up properly.

Surprised at all the RVD love. When he was in TNA, I heard a lot of criticism about how over the hill he is. I don’t like the idea of RVD putting guys over when he got over for like 2 seconds in the WWE. Don’t get me wrong there are a lot of WWE guys that desperately need the rub, and deserve it.
It’s funny b/c the WWE is the big time, but w/ the exception of Cena and Orton, they’re a bunch of indy guys. Don’t get me wrong, Dbry, Punk, Cesaro, Tyler Black, Dean Ambrose, etc are good, but to be in an angle w/ an HBK, HHH, Kurt Angle, Y2J, Edge, RVD, Mick Foley, Booker T, etc, etc, in WWE is what turns good into GREAT.
And it’s all WWE’s fault for pushing their ‘lil’ kid’ initiative because of their believe that WWE is bigger than the talent that make it up. DUMBASSES

i can’t even concentrate with a big a– picture of rock on one side of my screen and cena on the other ughhh!!

At this point any former WWE wrestler returning seems cool. They’re still lacking star power. They need to keep it interesting while they properly build up their new guys.
