Maria Returning Soon, Mayhew Discusses Leaving WWE, More

– Maria is expected to return to SmackDown imminently as filming for Celebrity Apprentice wrapped up last week. The ninth installment of the United States version of The Apprentice will premiere next spring on NBC. (source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

– As reported yesterday, Lauren Mayhew has given up her role as a ring announcer for WWE as both parties agreed to part ways this past week. The aspiring actress/singer wrote the following note on her Twitter account last night regarding her departure from the company:

“No longer ring announcing on WWE for the time being because I will be focusing on my acting and music in the new year. I will miss my new friends.”

– In today’s WWE birthday, ECW play-by-play commentator Josh Mathews turns 29 years old. He was only 20 years old when he took part in the first installment of Tough Enough in 2001.

– The WWE website has posted a photo gallery of the Divas slipping into their cutest holiday costumes in celebration of Thanksgiving.

– Monday Night Raw on March 1st, 2010 will be held at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tickets go on sale January 16th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. (Thanks to Devin Cutting)

Greeeeat, I’m REALLY looking forward to the return of the much missed Maria! (sarcasm) -____-

  2. mr.misery says:

Maria is hot, but thats about it. In fact, most of the Divas are terrible in-ring competitors. Kelly Kelly and Beth are good enough, but i dont even watch most of the Diva matches because they’re so awful

  3. SuperstarNickAdams says:

the onlt divas that have any real talent are mickie james and melina…..michelle mccool gets boring after a short while, and beth phoenix gets WAY too underused
