Mysterio Needs Surgery, Edge Talks About His Injuries

Mysterio Needs Surgery, Edge Talks About His Injuries

- Rey Mysterio is said to be working through a lot of pain at the moment, with news that his ACL and PCL are completely destroyed. It’s said his injured joint is virtually bone-on-bone and that he requires knee surgery as soon as possible, according to the Wrestling Globe newsletter.

- In an interview with Australia’s Daily Telegraph, Edge talks about injuries saying, “Look, guys in the WWE wrestle hurt all the time – that’s a given.” He also talks about the point where he nearly ended up in a wheelchair after pushing himself too far.

“And with the neck stuff, yeah, I thought I was hurt. So I kept going and going, basically. Kept training and wrestling to the point where I almost ended up in a wheelchair. And it all came to a head one afternoon when I was lifting weights in a San Francisco gym. Curling dumbbells. I was curling away when I went to go with my left and – boom – it just wouldn’t go. Even when I tried to flex my bicep, it stayed soft.” He then wrestled the next day.

Theres no doubt that WWE needs Edge back. Hes become a major player over the last few years and storylines these days are lacking the presence that his persona brings to the stage. Having him back before WM would be great as a feud with Jericho would be a great main event. And a reunion with Christian would be even better.

i agree with you terminalremorse… however I really don’t want Edge to rush back too soon and get injured again. According to JR’s blog it looks like it’s gonna be a long shot for ‘Mania because it’s early this year. IF Edge is one hundred percent healthy and ready to come back by ‘Mania then fair enough if he’s not quite 100% though I want him to wait until he is. The Achilles Tendon is the worst and most difficult injury to return from, trust me I know exactly what I am talking about I’ve been dancing for years and though dancers are not considered athletes the worst fear of any dancer is an Achilles rupture! . I think WWE will make sure Edge is absolutely ready before they bring him back to spear and conchairto the living hell out of Chris Jericho I look forward to that day with baited breath believe me… the bottom line however is that us Edgeheads need to be PATIENT and wait till he’s ready it’s horrible that we have to wait but we’re not the ones going through the painful rehab Edge is. just because he’s able to walk unaided now does not mean that he can wrestle on it yet. The Rated R Superstar will wrestle again but we have to wait until he’s ready to come back…

ACL & PCL are ligaments not joints & if they are destroyed you cant walk u dim wits. There is no bone on bone issues when it comes to ligaments. LOL u guys will report anything
