Vince Goes On “Rampage” Over Shane Leaving
While the motivation behind Shane McMahon’s resignation is still largely a mystery, the situation at WWE headquarters was said to be hectic to say the least. A source from F4WOnline.com says Vince McMahon went on a “complete rampage” the morning the resignation was announced. Even though most do not believe any sort of major family blowup occurred, the McMahon reaction does seemingly indicate the resignation was about more than Linda’s Senate campaign.
Update: Now that it’s come out that Shane McMahon met with UFC president Dana White to discuss purchasing part of the company, it should be very interesting to see the reaction to that development. Vince McMahon has gone on the record several times stating that “UFC is not WWE’s competition” – maybe he’ll change his tune now that his son Shane could be a part owner of the company.

The main event of RAW is always the same stuff, that’s what is turning people away, people would rather watch guys like Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, The Miz, etc. than Cena, Orton and DX
I disagree somewhat. While I am tired of Orton, DX and “Super Cena”, fans want to see them. the problem is we’re not seeing anything interesting INVOLVING them. Orton/Cena, Orton/HHH, Cena/HHH and repeat. It’s stale.. it’s boring.. it’s not intriguing. Raw on MOnday was pretty entertaining, had a great (albeit and pre-cursor to another hhh/cena ppv main event)) 20 plus minute PPV quality match, decent comedy.. actually solid.. then they hype the main event and you know that the finish of the show will feature a 7 on 7 brawl to lead into the ppv.
As fans, I’d like to think we want to see the current “top guys” involved with some new challengers (Like Kofi, Miz, MVP, Bourne, etc). It’s no fun watching the title switch three handed for years. It’s also not interesting watching DX. It’s fresh to 7 year olds.. it’s losing the core audience. And the PG rating is of course losing viewership.. I don’t HAVE to tune in every Monday. Infact, I missed the prior two weeks because I had better things to watch/do.
The only match worth watching was the HHH vs. Cena one, and that was in the first hour. I was actually looking forward to the Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels, but I turned the TV off when he waltzed out there at 11:00. WWE is nothing near what it used to be. Viewers don’t want a PG rating, or Orton vs. Cena every week, we want wrestling, and variety, and wrestlers that we know and like to see perform. Don’t promise us a match, and then show us a giant fight with vickie gurrero screaming in the background.
I agree with all of you. RAW is getting pretty stale and the Guest Host thing is losing steam fast, WWE keeps signing crappier people to host (with the exception of Snoop Dogg). The hosts need 2 learn that there needs 2 b matches on RAW not just an 1.5 hr of talking and 30 mins of wrestling. The whole “PG” initiative is getting old too. Kids were watchin RAW even before they tried to switch to kid-friendly TV.
I say fans across the nation should chant “this is bullsh*t” every week so WWE can get the message lol…… but seriously this PG thing isn’t doing us as fans any good but to the company itself their expecting more sponsers and Advertisers to jump on the ship thats what this is about…… I miss the Attitude era :(
Vince needs to scrape the pg rating kids will still watch it. Look at the hell in a cell PPV not one drop of blood and there was 3 hell in a matchs it was lame. ppl want to see orton and DX and sometimes Cena just they need to feud with diffrent ppl and not each other every week. Lets see a MVP vs Orton feud just for a change or lets see christian jump to raw and start something with someone

PFCFULLER, I like how you mention kid-friendly. I think WWE is slowly moving away from that, and the guest host deal, while it is god awful, is causing or is an effect of that. I mean think about it: we had a drug reference on raw with the backstage snoop segment (while it was not that he was doing drugs). Also, snoop’s album cover didn’t seem all that kid-friendly either, what with a woman in a martini glass i think. Maybe they are getting away from the kid aspect a tad.

When Degeriatric X come on, the channel changes. They were the majority of the show on Monday, so people tuned out. You can stomach it for a while, but once you hear that they are each doing a singles match as “main events”, why bother watching? Everything coming out of creative is done to simply boost their egos, and people are becoming increasing frustrated with Levesque and Hickenbottom’s egos ruining the product that we once loved.
Everyones definitely right about WWE being stale… the TV-PG rating making things dull… have a GM instead of guests hosts… wrestling instead of talking and the same old comedy… the need for changes… and folks were not going to get them. No way that WWEs going back to TV-14 while Lindas running for the U.S. Senate. If she gets the GOP nomination, then theres going to be those (me included) that look at that Senate race as being the future of our country at stake! Linda McMahon winning the primary in CT and then beating that jackass Chris Dodd could swing control of the Senate… and the direction of the country… from one party to another. There are bigger fish to fry.
But yes something still needs to be done… and some things being done not done (what was the point of Vickie Guerreros involvement in the Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown standoff? Whats the point of even bringing her back?) I think the biggest problem has been Cena/HHH/Orton playing hot potato with the title (except for those brief, BRIEF stints with Batista). Aussie fan youre definitely right that they need to mix things up… move Christian off of ECW (a show thats no more ECW than an old episode of the Hogan Family) or have new feuds with the people already there. But dont expect it. Like Dlowhtzite, I may get to the point that I watch something else on Monday night. (Weeks of MNF left, plus a lot of people say that The Big Bang Theory is hilarious!)
Triple HHH needs to fight someone else beside big card fighters, this thing they call jobbing is going to actually have to happen to all the big names HHH cena orton micheals, will have to be distributed and fight for something else and lose when was the last time we seen cena and HHH for intercontinental against anybody. kofi should be going against orton but before that given some major mic time. miz needs to either bulk up or start cheating better and face cena and beat his ass, since they will make cena look like a bitch in the first part of the match anyways take advantage and just win. we know debiase character will grow balls and whip ortons ass eventually til then we need more defiant acts like debiase cost orton the title this sunday. smack down is a better show because their big stars can not stay in long enough for it to get boring thank god for wwe injuries.
