  • Ouch

They should do it as a gimmick type match, like TNA fight night, like people arrange there own fights and call each other out. This just looks like a normal PPV.

  • Jeff

HEEL ORTON!.. also kind looks like the Breaking Point 2009 poster

  • Reality

I’ve stopped betting on a Orton turn. They’re just messing with us, and will probably turn him when we finally stopped expecting it.
Plus the concept is the same as Night of Champions right? erf

    • WWEFan4Life

Well, if you think about it, every PPV is basically the same concept as Night Of Champions because nearly every time on a PPV, all the titles are on the line anyway.

Didn’t the first night of champions have the championship scramble in which Brain Kendrick was the first one ever to get a pin at it?

        • WWEFan4Life

I Think so, yeah. The thing is though, I don’t think that the match was actually at NOC, I beleive it to of been at Unforgiven 2008 mainly because I don’t think that Kendrick has appeared at NOC. Are you thinking of the HHH v Hardy v Kendrick match? If so then yes. It’s just the PPV’s that you have mixed up.

  • Dave Smith

I think orton will turn heel before this PPV, thats why he is on the poster

    • BrahmaBullRKO

Wishful thinking, but if there’s anything I’ve learned from these posters, it’s to never use them to try and predict anything. Most of the time you’ll be wrong.

      • Dave Smith

        I guess we’ll find out

        • BrahmaBullRKO

          We shall.

    • http://www.facebook.com/craig.deboard Craig DeBoard

The posters very rarely have anything to do with the PPV except the Wrestlemania posters.

  • WWEFan4Life

Is it only me who thinks payback is just going to be a 1 time thing? Kind of like Capitol Punishment. I mean, if theres a sypnosis like this and the poster looks just like Breaking Point 2009 its kind of a sign.

June has always been the filler Pay Per View month. The last time they had a permanent slot for June was King of the Ring. Although it was used in April, July, and September. Bad Blood manage to stay around for 2 years in June. Then we had Fatal 4 Way, Capitol Punishment and recently was No Way Out. Then replaced with Pay Back.

      • PPVTroll

        Aren’t you forgetting Vengeance?

        • WWEFan4Life

I Don’t think that was in June but i’m not sure.

        • http://www.facebook.com/ldozier3 Lorenzo Dozier

You’re right, vengeance made 2 appearances in june

  • RadicalRhys

I have a bad feeling due to who is on this poster, Payback will end up like Fatal 4 Way ended up, and not someone someone wants to see twice.

  • Marko

I saw the first poster which featured Brock Lesnar so I guess there will unfortunately be no Lesnar at this PPV. I immediately thought Lesnar and CM Punk were going to feud on the road to Payback. And what sucks more is that Punk will also not be there. Shit, WWE is gonna have to put a lot of work in this to make it interesting.

  • HunnyBunnyAngel

    Kharma return and kill bellas

    • http://www.facebook.com/craig.deboard Craig DeBoard

      ^Actually Kharma.

  • Flare Demon

Looks like that breaking point poster with HHH.

  • Ayatollah of rock N rolla

so its pretty much just ‘Night Of Champions’

    • heterosexual

exactly what i thought, how is this invigorating with a fresh concept when it’s already been used for the past 2-3 years?

  • Just…Joe. from C.P.

Soooo…how is this different from Backlash? These monthly pay per views are dumb as it is, but the names are just as inane. I’m supposed to be excited about a show called Payback? Isn’t a main point of a fued based on revenge and “payback” anyway?
I know how WWE hates using anything WCW, but how about a Spring Stampede, Fall Brawl, or Halloween Havoc? Those at least sound like actual pro wrestling shows, and not some action movie.
It just sounds stupid…just as Fully Loaded, Over the Limit, Vengeance, and Unforgiven. I applaud the use of a thesaurus and all…but someone needs to start thinkong outside the box. I’ve always thought SmackDown sounded dumb too.

“Payback” is also the name of a Mel Gibson movie…. which actually is a action movie. don’t know if you knew this, thought it was kinda funny.

    • Progress_Now

hey hey hey there have been great Fully Loaded and Unforgiven PPVs in the past. I liked those actually, and I also miss Backlash. Payback, Elimination Chamber, Money In The Bank are so STUPID. Over The Limit and Bragging Rights were even bigger fails. I did like the Night of Champions gimmick though, every title on the line. too bad they fucked that one up too.

    • Pozessed

Definitely. So many greats have been in the King Of The Ring tournaments and they always had some interesting matches.
