WWE RAW Results & Videos: January 27, 2014

WWE RAW Opener:

RAW opens with The Authority coming to the ring. Stephanie starts things off on the mic. The “Yes! Yes! Yes!” chants cut her off almost immediately. Triple H mocks the fans in a little kiddie voice and says “did someone not get what they wanted?” The crowd boo’s him like crazy. HHH barrels on to run down some of the good things that actually took place at Royal Rumble last night. Stephanie brings up the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. She says Randy Orton will defend the title inside the Elimination Chamber itself. As soon as she says that, Daniel Bryan’s music hits.

Daniel Bryan comes out smiling and the fans get crazy with “Yes!” chants as he comes to the ring. As soon as he gets into the ring there’s a loud mixture of “Daniel Bryan” and “Yes!” chants. Bryan says “please stop the Yes’ing, they don’t like it.” He continues, “Stop chanting for Daniel Bryan. They don’t like it. We don’t wanna make The Authority mad.” They respond with a loud mixture of “Yes!” and “Daniel Bryan” chants. Stephanie mocks the crowd for falling for Bryan’s “cheap parlor tricks.” Bryan says he had one of the toughest matches of his career last night. HHH says “I’ll be the first to give you all the credit in the world. It was a good little effort.” Bryan says a big disappointment last night was him not being in the Royal Rumble. He says he came to them time and again and said he wanted to be in the Rumble. He tells them to listen to the people, they wanted him to be in the Royal Rumble. He says there’s a “Yes! Movement” going on. He says listen to the people. Stephanie says they have to look out for the well-being of their Superstars and Divas and they didn’t want to put him in that type of danger. The crowd responds by chanting “You Suck!” Bryan says they’ve made him wrestle all three members of The Shield, all three members of The Wyatt Family. He’s wrestled more than once on RAW countless times. HHH said exactly, that’s why we didn’t want to make you work twice at the Rumble. Bryan says they don’t care about what’s best for business, they just care about what’s worst for Daniel Bryan. Stephanie says Bryan is only thinking about himself. She says did all these people only come to see him. The crowd responds by chanting “Yes! Yes! Yes!”

Bryan says he wants in the Elimination Chamber. The crowd chants “Yes!” He says the people want him in that match too. He tells Stephanie to step aside. He tells Hunter that neither of them should leave the ring until he gets what he wants. He and HHH go nose-to-nose. HHH says it’s not just them two in the ring. He says it sounds like he’s got company. The Shield come to the ring. Bryan quickly jumps out of the ring and grabs a chair as The Shield comes to ringside. Eventually the numbers game is too much and The Shield beat down Bryan in the ring.

Sheamus’ music hits and Sheamus comes out to help Bryan. The Shield eventually is too much for him. John Cena’s music hits. Cena runs to the ring as well. Now it’s three on three. D-Bry, Sheamus and Cena eventually get the upper hand and throw all three members of The Shield out of the ring. Bryan’s music hits as The Shield retreats through the crowd. We head to a commercial on that note.

Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs. The Real Americans

When we return from commercial, Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara are standing in the ring. Michael Cole talks about Randy Orton having to defend his title at the Elimination Chamber. He reveals that tonight’s main event will be Daniel Bryan, John Cena and Sheamus vs. The Shield in a six-man tag match. Whoever wins the match, all three members will be entered into the Elimination Chamber match. The Real Americans make their way to the ring for tag-team action in our first match of the evening on RAW. Zeb Colter cuts a promo. Typical Zeb stuff.

The bell rings and Mysterio and Antonio Cesaro start things off for their respective teams. Mysterio gets Cesaro on the mat and then tags in Sin Cara. Sin Cara huricanrana’s Cesaro down. Cesaro regroups and tags in Swagger. Sin Cara quickly gets the upper-hand on Swagger. Cara hits Swagger with a springboard back-elbow off the ropes for a near fall. Swagger over-shoots a move on Sin Cara and ends up on the floor. Cara dives through the ropes and splashes onto Swagger. Zeb Colter gets in Swagger’s face and yells at him. Zeb slaps Swagger in the face. Swagger freaks out.

Swagger gets back in the ring and is now even more aggressive after being slapped. Swagger is dominating the crap out of Sin Cara now. We head to a mid-match commercial on that note.

When we return from commercial, Cesaro is beating up Sin Cara. Sin Cara blasts Cesaro with a kick. Cesaro tags in Swagger. Sin Cara quickly gets Swagger down. Swagger ends up on the floor. Cara goes to tag Mysterio but Cesaro ends up yanking him off the apron and onto the floor. Back in the ring, Cara reverses a Cesaro move into a roll-up for a close near fall. Cesaro manhandles Cara down and seems to be back in control of the match. He tags Swagger back in and they hit a big scoop-slam style double-team move. Swagger makes the tag and goes for a Swagger Bomb. Cara rolls out of the way.

Cesaro goes to get Cara but Cara kicks him to buy some time. He makes the tag to Mysterio. Mysterio makes the hot tag and is flying all over the place. He hits a seated-senton on Cesaro for a near fall. Mysterio gets Cesaro in position for the 6-1-9 and hits it. He tags Sin Cara and dives onto Swagger on the floor. Cesaro slows Cara down by catching him in mid-air with an uppercut. He follows it up with the Nuetralizer. 1-2-3. The Real Americans win.

Winners: The Real Americans

Bad News Barrett Segment

Bad News Barrett pops up on his big podium. He tells us that he’s afraid he’s got some bad news for the television viewers. He says later on we have a match that features The Miz against Dolph Ziggler. He talks trash about Cleveland, where RAW is tonight. That’s about it.

Oh yeah, I tuned in. I love how you actually went out of your way to find that from yesterday though… Good memory, even I hardly remember what I said yesterday.

          • scott

haha I said that I was gonna see what happened on this show and if I didn’t like the direction they were going I mite stop. But they impressed me enough with the lesnar, DB, and Naomi segments that I was satisfied.

  • Some_Random_Guy

Anyone notice Sheamus’s new shirt just now? It had an upside down 4 leaf clover. I googled the symbolism of it and this is what I found “The meaning is relatively obscure, but according to one source, an upside-down clover is unlucky clover. Considerable grief or disappointment is likely to come from a situation that you have little or no control over.”
What do you think this mean for Sheamus?

    • Some_Random_Guy

Someone mentioned a while back that Sheamus and the Wyatts could be working together???

      • G.I.R.L.

A Sheamus heel turn? I’m down. Could potentially make a bland character interesting.

        • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

Well his face work is pretty much heel work anyway… Just like Batista… Can’t cut a babyface promo to save his life.

Sheamus vs Bryan is rumoured for Mania… Could see a heel turn here or at EC…

I’m more intrigued by Lesnar facing Orton or Batista tonight… I bet neither will ‘really’ go down, but it’ll get people talking… And maybe it will happen to make up for the bad press the Rumble got…

          • G.I.R.L.

The followup to the Shield betrayal is what I’m most looking forward to.

          • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

Yeah same here… They haven’t even mentioned it yet… Odd. Rollins and Ambrose turning on Reigns would make the most sense… So we’ll probably get the exact opposite.

    • scott

This could set up a hell of a story. The Wyatts show up at the end and screw Cena and DB’s team and the SHield get into the chamber. Then the SHield try thanking the Wyatt’s and they say they didn’t do it for you and it sets up a Wyatt/SHield match in the future

      • Some_Random_Guy

what’s that gotta do with sheamus? lol..

        • scott

It doesn’t have a thing to do with Sheamus I was just goin off what you said sorta haha

  • scott

Yes I did see that Seth Rollins

    • Aperture

He played it off really well though.

      • scott

He mite have scorpioned haha I didn’t see whether or not I just saw him on his face on the ground mad as hell

  • guest

Put Bryan in the chamber. C’mon WWE listen to your fans YES! YES! YES!

  • scott

Looks like the Real Americans might finally get a shot at the titles. that’s wassup!

  • Donny Octave

Real Americans kicked ass here. Hope they get the gold sometime!

    • G.I.R.L.

Cesaro is not only my idol but is also the FUTURE!

  • thurlj13

This isn’t my entire card but the top four matches I personally want to see..

    cena vs lesnar

    hhh vs cm punk

daniel bryan vs batista vs orton

    sting vs taker

    • Timothy Billups

Cena vs Lesnar? That has already been done and does not need to be done again.
More than likely, it will end up being Batista v Lesnar at Wrestlemania or Bryan vs Batista depending on what they do in the Chamber. Odds are it will be Lesnar, as I don’t see Orton surviving inside the chamber.
Sting vs Taker just isn’t in the cards anymore man, that is a dream match from 5 years ago that would draw no doubt about that, but have you seen Sting’s matches lately? He barely puts on the deathlock anymore, it looks like a 2 year old backyard wrestling doing it. Sting’s only role in WWE if he comes should be to induct Warrior into the HOF and then sit on a nice fat legends and merchandising contract and that’s it.

They’ve been trying to get Sting for 20 years, I HIGHLY doubt they’d pass up on a Sting Vs Taker Match, maybe not at Mania, maybe SummerSlam or Survivor Series. But as long as the 2 can go, and Sting does indeed sign with them. It WILL happen, and frankly it HAS to happen

        • Timothy Billups

I’m probably in the minority here, but I don’t think it HAS to happen at all. It’s a pipedream at this point, and would serve no purpose other than to put them in a match. Sting is no longer able to hold a match without being carried, heavily at that. Same goes for Taker, he can still go yes, but his matches are scripted months in advance of WM, to go over the entire match start to finish.
It’s just like all this “Hogan wrestling at mania” crap that is going on. The same people that bash Hogan in TNA wanting him to wrestle in WWE. Hogan is washed up, no need to be in the ring at all. Should he be in WWE in legends capacity, maybe be special referee here and there, pop in for appearances, etc.? Absolutely, that is where he has belonged for a long while now. But not in the ring wrestling, period.
And honestly, that is where Sting belongs too. In the past I wanted Sting to come to the grandest stage of them all, but at this point its only going to tarnish his legacy if he were to wrestle like he has been against a phenom.

      • Thurlj13

I meant to put cena vs wyatt but for some reason my mind went blank. I just feel that sting is going to be signed and thats why i put it there. but batista vs lesnar is a very real possibility and i honestly wouldn’t mind it as long as its no dq

  • scott

This Raw is shaping up to be a hell of a Raw. I love this. You have Daniel Bryan making his point against the Authority. You have the main event which ever team gets in and you got Batista, Lesnar and Orton in the same ring at the same time. This is awesome

  • piggypoopie

OF ALL THE SHIRTS ZIGGLER!! 69!!?? REALLY!!??

  • scott

THANK GOD Ziggler won that match

  • fursey

wwe networks big sneak peek was more monday night war crap? havent you beaten that horse to death?

    • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

Heck no. They’ll keep beating that thing forever. THEY WON! WOOOO!

  • Aperture

    When will this day come?

    • scott

He hasn’t even done anything tonight.

  • Keith Kaleo Limos

    #Bootista. :)

    • SOBI

      thats actually cool of Batista
seems like Lately the Top Faces that wwe chooses, have to embrace the hate of the crowd cause nobody likes them anymore.
Cena has been doing this for years now yet wwe makes the same old choices

      • Tom Wing

The reason they make the same old choices is because they know that no matter what…people will still watch from home, buy tickets and buy merch. Until those three things take drastic hits…..WWE will always make the same three choices.

        • Guest

          Half-true.

If you don’t buy the merch of your favorite guys, you don’t force WWE to take a closer look at them. Merch is partially what drives pushes. It’s the business of The Business.

Inaction and apathy is why WWE kept going back to the well with Cena for so many years. Punk and Bryan driving revenue alongside their exceptional work on TV is why they’ve been given prime spots over the past 2-3 years.

        • Morris_b

DB doesn’t sell! The Authority looks at the numbers. For all the Cena hate that’s out there, he’s still the top drawing star. Daniel Bryan show’s don’t do that great. Time for people to wakeup! lol

  • Some_Random_Guy

botched backstabber, lol.. Kofi walked back into it! Hahahaha…..

  • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

So much for a Kingston push…

So by this logic, shouldn’t Del Rio get a shot at Orton?

  • Buzzard Follower

i literally just woke up is there another hof induction happening. plus adr def kofi same old $#!+

    • Noah

Wouldn’t care if Kofi and ADR went to TNA.Don’t care for both.Hate ADR more.

  • Matt Gallagher

    Hey guys

  • G.I.R.L.

Wtf?! Why not just feed the OAO to Lesnar too? Lesnar shouldn’t just be beating up the faces,he should be decimating EVERYONE!

I can’t stand the OAO why the heck do they still refer to themselves as “New Age”? Your flame was extinguished before the Ruthless Agression era.

    • Aperture

I was going to correct you, but I realized that you meant to call them “Old Age Outlaws”…

    • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

      Well they escaped… I guess…. ?

I hear ya though… lame. Even lamer that there was no payoff to the options… Pointless teasing to try and keep viewers… Very lame.

    • Reality

Old Age Outlaws really doesn’t sound bad!

  • Buzzard Follower

    batista’s promo skills no bueno

  • Jack

    • Drmgiver

      Say no to crack.

      • Mike

I don’t think he’s the one that made that video dude. Besides.. it looks pretty close to what they’d book anyway

  • scott

    AJ sucks

  • Noah

Brock involved with Batista/Randy Orton?.Could be interesting.

  • Noah

Could there be a change?.Could it be Brock vs Batista at WM 30?.Instead of Batista vs Randy Orton?.

  • Buzzard Follower

YES JAKE THE SNAKE FOR THE HALL OF FAME

    • Archimedes_Slim

      Most exciting part of Raw.

  • Buzzard Follower

    CHRISTIAN

    • Archimedes_Slim

Was hoping he’d make his return in the rumble. At least they made him a video promo.

  • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

Wait a minute…. No Punk? What?

    • Buzzard Follower

thats what i was about to say. i clonked out for about half n hour so i thought i missed him but i dont see him in the results

      • Aperture

Plus, he is trying to sell his “injury” at the Rumble.

      • http://www.rabidpictures.com yrabadi

I didn’t see the interview re: spotlight… but selling the injury works, I guess… Though it’s not like going through a table stopped wrestlers from showing up the following night before…

    • Aperture

Punk said in a interview recently that he wasn’t going to steal Bryan’s thunder. So he will let Bryan get his spotlight.

  • https://twitter.com/THEREALBIGMAC THEREALBIGMAC

Two good things have came from RAW tonight so far…. Jake The Snake Roberts is finally getting inducted into the hall of fame…. and Zeb Colters picket signs are hilarious! #WeThePeople

  • Buzzard Follower

you know what this means shield vs wyatts

  • SOBI

    OH YEAH
FINALLY looks like it will happen
    the WYATTS VS the SHIELD

  • DoubleD

Did anyone else think they were going to make it up to us by having Brock beat Batista tonight to set him up as the #1 cobtender at mania? I did.. Show was average.

  • The Chad

Wyatts vs The Shield upcoming? Well i guess its a start in the right direction WWE, excited to see what stems from that regardless

  • Noah

What happend to Rollins at the beginning of Raw?.Did he wipe out trying to flip over barricade?.

  • SOBI

The main event was Great last night everybody performed great.
even the Divas match didn’t totally suck

    • Cujo999

Yeah, good show, overall. Miz vs. Dolph was smart booking, as they had to know both would get a good pop with the Cleveland crowd. The rest of the undercard was pretty good, although Koffi vs. ADR was a little bleh. The Diva’s match was solid. HHH and Stephanie did a good job of entwining the heat from the Rumble into their storyline. The main event was a real big win. Not only was it a great match, but they also set up angles for everybody involved going into EC. Plus, Bryan’s back in the title picture, so the IWC can ease back off the ledge a little bit.

  • brad

Wait so I turned it on at ten and noticed there was no Batista. What the h he just won the rumble last night.

    • Noah

He was there. He interupted Randy Orton. Then Brock Lesnar came out.

      • brad

O I missed that part like I said I turned it on later so that’s probably why.

        • Noah

The walrus Paul Heyman was trying to say that Brock is the number 1 contender to face Randy Orton.I hope Brock doesn’t become the champ again.Don’t want a part timer as champ.

  • Buzzard Follower

i think battle ground is shaping up like this
    1. chamber orton vs cena vs bryan vs sheamus vs christian vs lesnar
    shield vs wyatts
    batista vs del rio
    punk vs kane
    outlaws vs brotherhood
    aj vs naomi

    • Cujo999

Honestly, I don’t see them putting Lesnar in the Chamber. The way things went tonight, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had Lesnar face Batista for his #1 contender’s spot at WM.

      • Buzzard Follower

could be yeah i threw lesnar in there because im not really sure who else you could put it in there plus i was avoiding del rio at all cost

  • MOON CENA

    .. SAD , BUT TRUE LOL !! ..

  • G.I.R.L.

So… we’re gonna just forget about the Shield betrayal?

    • Noah

The Shield will be finished soon.I’d say it will end at WM.Then Roman Reigns gets his push.Which I want.

  • ibeBrave

i thought brock was gonna turn face tonight and destroy orton or batista but yet again the authority said no to what the wwe fans want…..ashame hopefully brock destroys a heel next week

  • smartin2293

So Shield vs. Wyatts EC tag team match!?

    • Progressed_Now

      WWE ain’t that creative lol

  • Ninjastar

After i think about it now, i have a feeling its gonna be HHH vs Bryan at WM30 it all makes sense now , this story line with HHH and Bryan thats been going on for months all ends at WM30 . Does this make sense or no, am i missing something?

  • Noah

Last night,Micheal Cole to JBL:John,Everybody is complaining that you should have gave your Royal Rumble spot to someone who deserves it.JBL’s response,He imitate’s a little kid crying.Haha!.JBL is GOD on commentary!!.

  • Progressed_Now
  • satishwarne708

What can you say 3 boring guys and a super over guy in the EC so Roman and Bray should make it 6?that would be a cool match of coarse unless the trolling may still continue and Bryan may not even be in the EC?impossible?

  • Salamander1017

just wondering, what happened to cm punk?

  • Fantasma Del Guapo

The more I think back to Lesnar jumping Cody & Dust the more I’m reminded why I wouldn’t want any of the TNA people working on WWE. I get that Goldust is a big deal but this was the same as wasting Brock dicking around with Mark Henry instead of someone more current.

  • J’vo

Here’s what i see right now
I think Orton vs Batista will not happen or at least a slight change, but who knows remember Cena vs The Rock part 2,or Batista enter to match after Elimination Chamber and beats the winner of that match and then the scenario that he will face Lesnar in WM 30 will occur
I think WWE don’t want make any risky match

  • Codebreaker

So the WWE is not pushing Kofi?

  • zzzzwwe

Still hope macho man is in hall of fame
