Becky Lynch Responds To Nia Jax

6

It’s been a particularly eventful last few days in wrestling. In another update to this ongoing saga, Becky Lynch has just sent a message to Nia Jax on Twitter. Her comments were made in response to a post of Nia’s from earlier today.

https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1062753374443978752

“You gave me your best sucker punch, but I got back up to destroy your whole roster. They won’t let me fight, but I’ll get back up from that too. It’s what I do. So enjoy your one free shot, because as bad as my memory is now, I haven’t forgotten you, bitch.”

A Quick Recap Of Today’s Events

A lot has happened today so a quick review might be in order.

First, Rousey blasted Becky for pulling out of their match on Sunday.

“Unfortunately, now everyone knows if someone hauls off and punches you for real, your face implodes,” Rousey wrote. “I suggest you keep practicing your tough guy’s faces in the mirror, should be very effective physical therapy.

It’s perhaps a little odd that Rousey pointed out people don’t get punched for real in WWE during a kayfabe style post but that’s wrestling.

Then there were reports from backstage that Nia Jax has heat with the roster for what happened.

Nia then posted the following to Twitter:

https://twitter.com/NiaJaxWWE/status/1062738524347289601?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1062738524347289601&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fs46315.p1736.sites.pressdns.com%2Fjax-breaks-silence-injuring-lynch%2F

Becky then issued the response referenced at the beginning of this article.

NXT & 205 Live 11/14 Preview

0

WWE presents the final episode of NXT before Takeover: WarGames tonight. Also, 205 Live will air their final show before Buddy Murphy and Mustafa Ali clash for the Cruiserweight title at Survivor Series.

NXT 11/14 Preview

The main event of tonight’s NXT will determine which team gains the advantage at WarGames. Literally, the winner of tonight’s match will see their team gain the advantage in terms of which team has a competitor enter 3rd, 5th, and 7th, giving them the numbers advantage at 3 different intervals during the match.

Kyle O’Reilly vs TBD

The Undisputed Era have already announced that Kyle O’Reilly will be their representative in the WarGames advantage match tonight. The team of the War Raiders, Pete Dunne, and Ricochet still have to nominate a competitor.

Mia Yim vs Bianca Belair

Mia Yim has a chance to skyrocket to the top of NXT’s women’s division tonight. She is going to be taking on the undefeated Bianca Belair in single’s action. A win here for Bianca, would further solidify her as a top-tier competitor who should likely be inline for a title shot soon.

Lacey Evans in Single’s Competition

Another match in the increasingly stacked women’s division tonight sees Lacey evidence in singles competition. Per opponent hasn’t been announced which likely means they are enhancement talent. Evans has picked up wins recently over Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae. As with Belair, Evans seems to be just one or two big wins away from a title shot.

205 Live 11/14 Preview

Only only one match has been announced tonight’s 205 Live. Tonight’s episode will also be the go home show before the cruiserweight title match at Survivor Series between Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy, however. It’s likely there will be a segment involving champion and challenger tonight.

Lio Rush vs Cedric Alexander

Lio Rush has a chance to jump to the top of the cruiserweight division tonight. He will take on former cruiserweight champion Cedric Alexander. Rush is undefeated in singles matches so far in the cruiserweight division. The only blemish on his record thus far was losing out in a fatal 5-way match which was ultimately won by Tony Nese. A win could put Rush in title contention. Similarly, a win for Alexander would put him back on track to getting a rematch with a man who beat him for the title in Australia.

Nia Jax Breaks Silence On Injuring Becky Lynch

10

Nia Jax has received a lot of heat, both backstage and from fans, for what transpired Monday. Jax injured SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch during a brawl segment on RAW. Jax hit Lynch with a hard punch that broke the Irishwoman’s nose, forcing her off this weekend’s Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV).

Lynch was initially scheduled to face RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey due to the Champion vs. Champion format of the PPV. With Lynch now off the card due to injury, Charlotte Flair will face Rousey at Survivor Series instead. Jax has been taking a lot of heat online from fans since she injured Lynch.

Jax posted an advertisement for a meet-and-greet she’ll be holding on Friday. In the comments, however, fans are trashing the former RAW Women’s Champion for injuring Lynch:

https://twitter.com/NiaJaxWWE/status/1062427500045836289

Earlier this morning, Jax took to Twitter to address the situation. She posted a photo of her cut and bruised fist with the caption, “Hey…we don’t deliver mail, things happen. Is anyone gonna ask me about how my fist feels?”

The controversy surrounding Jax injuring Lynch has sparked tons of discussions online. Even former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback recently unloaded on F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez for critiquing Jax. It will be interesting to see how the situation plays out moving forward.

Nia Jax Reportedly Has Heat Backstage After Injuring Becky Lynch

10

This has been a huge week for professional wrestling, as we approach Survivor Series from Los Angeles this weekend. The week started off with a tremendous women’s locker room brawl to hype this weekend’s pay-per-view (PPV) on Monday Night RAW. Unfortunately, that braw resulted in the injury of Becky Lynch, who is now off the Survivor Series card, canceling the event’s most highly-anticipated match.

The SmackDown Live Women’s Champion kicked off the segment by attacking RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey backstage. She then came to the ring to lead an attack on the RAW Women’s locker room, alongside her fellow SmackDown Live stars. However, during the brawl, Nia Jax hit Lynch with a hard shot that broke ner nose. Lynch continued on with the segment despite bleeding all over herself.

It was soon determined that the injury was significant enough to pull Lynch from her match with Rousey on Sunday. Now, Rousey will face Charlotte Flair, who was hand-selected by Lynch as her replacement, instead. With one of the most anticipated matches of the year being called off due to injury, Jax has apparently taken some heat backstage for the incident.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, who initially broke the story of Lynch’s injury, has provided some insight. Initially, there wasn’t any heat towards Jacks for busting Lynch open. However, after the severity of the injury was determined, that quickly changed:

What do you think about Jax reportedly having heat backstage for injuring Lynch?

Ronda Rousey Blasts Becky Lynch For Pulling Out Of Their Match

9

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey has posted a scathing statement aimed at Becky Lynch, who was forced to pull out of their scheduled match at Survivor Series due to injury.

Anticipation surrounding their match peaked on Monday night, with Lynch attacking Rousey at Raw during SmackDown’s invasion of the red brand. Unfortunately, Nia Jax broke Lynch’s face during the melee and the The Man has not been medically cleared to wrestle this Sunday. Rousey will now battle Charlotte Flair, but she’s blasting Lynch for “not showing up for her legally arranged ass whopping.”

Rousey posted a message on Instagram, which you can read below. Rousey embedded this tweet from UFC legend Nate Diaz to accompany her pointed message towards Lynch.

Ronda Rousey’s Message to Becky Lynch

Rousey posted the following message on Instagram:

@Beckylynchwwe I’m really sorry to hear The Millennial Man will not be showing up for her legally arranged ass whooping on November 18th at the  Staples Center.

Unfortunately now everyone knows if someone hauls off and punches you for real, your face implodes. I suggest you keep practicing your tough guys faces in the mirror, should be very effective physical therapy.

And have fun watching Korean soap operas on Netflix or whatever the hell the Millennial Man does with her free time. Don’t worry I’m not the back stabbing cheap shotting ambushing cowardly type, so you’re perfectly safe to take your time and heal up until your figurative balls have dropped and you’re finally ready to for your comeuppance. I want you 100% healed up, prepared, and looking me in the eye when the bell rings. Lemmie know when you’re done healing your boo boos and ready for me to serve you your ass on a silver platter with your avocado toast.

I do have to admit, The Millennial Man is stunningly conniving. She poked the bear and ran like a bat outta hell when the bear awoke – Feeding me her favorite frienemy and fellow #FAUXhorsewoman @charlottewwe is a new level of manipulative cowardice, even for The Millennial Man. @charlottewwe is a Superfight and I’ve always wanted to fight her – but she’s just the stand in for the beating @beckylynchwwe has coming to her this Sunday. I’ll be sending The Champ a choice piece of Charlotte as a souvenir?? #RondaVsCharlotte #SurvivorSeries #Nov18 #4hourswomenVSfauxhorsewomen

Ryback Defends Nia Jax To Bryan Alvarez, Alvarez Responds

10

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion jumped to defend Nia Jax from an online attack recently. Journalist, Bryan Alvarez made a comment regarding Nia Jax and the injury suffered to Becky Lynch on Monday night. Ryback then offered up his opinion in response.

Ryback then responded with the following:

While Ryback was critical of Alvarez for offering a critique on a wrestler’s performance, Alvarez is a professional wrestler himself. He offered up the following in response to Ryback’s comments: “I started wrestling in the mid-90s. In over 1,000 matches with everyone from Buddy Wayne to Lance Storm to Rock & Roll Express and Los Villanos and Larry Sweeney and Jack Evans and everyone else, I never hurt anyone, ever. Pretty sure I’m qualified to give my opinion on working.”

Bryan Alvarez Wrestling Career

Alvarez has recently come out of retirement this year as well. In July, he teamed up with MLW’s “Filthy” Tom Lawlor in a losing effort to the legendary Rock N Roll Express.

Most recently, Alvarez defeated “Mr. Fun Size” Marko Stunt at Big Trouble In Little Crown Point for Powerbomb.TV.

Back in 2010, Alvarez defeated a wrestler by the name of “The Ideal Canadian” to qualify for TCW’s Can-Am title tournament. Unconfirmed rumors suggest the man Alvarez beat was actually Lance Storm.

AJ Styles Misses MMC After WWE Title Loss

0

Last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live certainly brought a ton of surprises. After Becky Lynch’s injury, Charlotte Flair will now face Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series this weekend. Also, we have a new WWE Champion, and a new opponent for Brock Lesnar on Sunday. AJ Styles opened up SmackDown Live last night to cut a promo about his match with Lesnar.

Paul Heyman came out to interrupt Styles, instigating a match between Styles and Bryan later on that night. With the WWE Title on the line, Bryan turned heel and hit Styles with a low blow after the referee was knocked down. He then hit a flying knee for the WWE Title victory. The title change was obviously a huge surprise to fans.

Now, Bryan will face Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series this weekend due to the Champion vs. Champion format of the show. After SmackDown Live, however, Styles didn’t work his scheduled Mixed Match Challenge match on Facebook Watch. He was set to team up with Charlotte Flair against The Miz and Asuka.

Instead, Styles was replaced by Jeff Hardy, who teamed with Flair to defeat Miz and Asuka. There’s no news as to why Styles missed his MMC match, however, it’s likely in regards to the storyline after losing the WWE Title.

What do you think about Styles not working the MMC after losing the WWE Title?

Lana Provides Details On Melee Which Injured Becky Lynch

1

Lana was involved in the Smackdown vs Raw women’s division melee on Raw Monday night. A fan on Twitter noted that at one point, Lana stopped her attack on Dana Brooke on the outside. Lana responded to the fan by noting several distractions she was experiencing at the time.

“I saw blood on Dana’s face so I stopped from hitting her & also was being told to get a doctor and ref because of what just had happened to Becky. We are out there fighting to win but not out there to legitimately hurt one another.”

Raw vs Smackdown Melee and Becky Lynch’s “Broken Face”

WWE reported that Becky Lynch suffered a concussion and broken face during the melee as a result of a punch from Nia Jax. Upon researching, facial fractures are a legitimate medical diagnosis and refer to any broken bone in the face. Unlike other bones, however, facial breaks are said to heal much quicker and return to normal in weeks as opposed to months. The more serious condition Becky is dealing with is her concussion.

WWE is cautious with concussion injuries, which have also sidelined Alexa Bliss for the time being. Bliss is reportedly being sidelined at the moment due to suffering multiple concussions in a short span of time.

Daniel Bryan Refuses To Answer Questions After Smackdown (Video)

1

Daniel Bryan won the WWE Championship last night on a notable episode of Smackdown Live! In one night, several of the top matches for Survivor Series 2018 were changed, all with just 5 days to go before the event.

Not only did Bryan win the WWE Championship in a match only announced that same night, but he also turned heel in the process. Bryan low-blowed Styles with the referee out of position moments before hitting him with a running knee to pick up the win. When cameras attempted to catch up with Bryan backstage, however, he was not offering up any explanation for his actions.

While Bryan wouldn’t answer any questions, he did pose for his WWE Championship photo session:

Daniel Bryan Beats AJ Styles, Wins WWE Championship

AJ Styles’ WWE Championship reign finishes at 1 year and 6 days. He defended the title 13x successfully on WWE programming (not including house shows). This is Bryan’s 4th run with the title. He has only held the title for a combined 66 days, however. He has twice had to vacate the belt and also lost it in quick succession to Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2013.

Bryan also formerly held the now retired World Heavyweight Championship in WWE once. Bryan held that title for 105 days before losing it to Sheamus at WrestleMania that year.

AJ went for a Springboard 450 Splash but Bryan got his knees up. Daniel locked in the Yes Lock in the middle of the ring but Styles was able to get to the bottom rope to break up the hold.

Styles locked in the Calf Crusher in the middle of the ring but Bryan countered into an Arm Bar. Bryan then transitioned into the Yes Lock in the middle of the ring.

Styles broke free and connected with a slingshot that sent Bryan flying into the turnbuckle. AJ went for the Phenomenal Forearm but Bryan got out of the way and AJ hit referee Charles Robinson. Daniel Bryan then delivered a low blow to Styles and followed it up with the running knee for the pinfall victory. Daniel Bryan is the new WWE Champion.

After the match, Bryan stomped on Styles several times in the ring. Bryan had a huge smile on his face as he continued to stomp on AJ’s face. Bryan then sat in the ring with the WWE Championship and smiled to the crowd as SmackDown went off the air. Daniel Bryan will now face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series this Sunday.

Daniel Bryan Wins WWE Championship, Will Face Brock Lesnar At Survivor Series

24

Daniel Bryan is the new WWE Champion as he beat AJ Styles to win the title on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in St. Louis, MO at the Enterprise Center on the USA Network. Bryan hit a low blow and then the running knee to win the title. After the match, Bryan attacked him.

As a result, Styles is no longer slated to face WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Instead, Bryan vs. Lesnar has been announced.

If you recall, Styles successfully retained the WWE Title over Bryan on the October 30th episode of SmackDown. This contest was supposed to happen at Crown Jewel but due to Bryan refusing to go to the country, WWE booked this match on SmackDown instead. Styles would then retain the title over Samoa Joe at Crown Jewel.

Styles held the title for over 300 days after winning it from Jinder Mahal on an episode of SmackDown Live in November of last year in Manchester, England, which started his second reign as WWE Champion. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what Styles’ role will be at Survivor Series.

WWE presents the Survivor Series pay-per-view event on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center that will air on the WWE Network.

Update On Becky Lynch Being Pulled from Survivor Series

8

One of the most anticipated matches at this Sunday’s Survivor Series is apparently no longer happening.

WWE Smackdown women’s champion Becky Lynch has reportedly been pulled from the card after suffering a concussion and possibly a broken nose during a segment on Monday Night Raw that was meant to build the anticipation towards her upcoming match against Ronda Rousey.

Fightful initially reported that Lynch was being pulled from the match and Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer later confirmed the report that the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’ was officially out of the showdown against Rousey.

There’s no doubt that Lynch vs. Rousey was one of the most highly anticipated matches taking place this Sunday as the Raw and Smackdown brands go up against each other at Survivor Series.

Lynch suffered her injury when the women’s stars from Smackdown Live ‘invaded’ Monday Night Raw and engaged in a brawl towards the end of the show.

It was a punch from Nia Jax that floored Lynch during the melee and when she got up from the canvas, her faced was smeared with blood but she kept going throughout the segment.

At the end of the show, Lynch stared back down at the ring — her face and hands covered in blood — as she locked eyes with Rousey in the waning moments of the episode.

Unfortunately it appears the accidental punch will cost Lynch a high profile match against Rousey but the good news is this only serves to further build the budding rivalry that was growing between the two women’s superstars.

Lynch has been on an upward trajectory for months ever since she was involved in a feud with Charlotte Flair that ended with her becoming champion and the retaining the title in several epic matches.

While it appears Lynch won’t be wrestling at Survivor Series, it likely sets up an even bigger match down the road when she finally gets the opportunity to clash with Rousey in the ring.

WWE RAW Viewership Sees Slight Increase For Survivor Series Go-Home Show

Monday’s edition of WWE RAW from Kansas City, MO averaged 2.450 million viewers, up from 2.441 million the previous week.

The episode was the go-home show for Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. Here is the hourly viewership breakdown, courtesy of ShowbuzzDaily:

  • Hour 1: 2.761 million viewers
  • Hour 2: 2.446 million viewers
  • Hour 3: 2.14 million viewers

RAW had some notable moments including appearances by Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, a Tag Team Battle Royal, Finn Balor vs. Dolph Ziggler and two Survivor Series qualifying match that saw Bobby Lashley vs. Elias as well as Bayley vs. Sasha Banks. The ending of the show featured women from SmackDown being led by SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch to invade the show in order to attack women on Team RAW.

WWE also hyped Survivor Series and the matches taking place at that show. In case you missed the show, you can check out the results here.

Despite WWE putting some together some intriguing segments for the show, this episode faced some heavy competition. The show had to go up against ESPN which was averaging 10.501 million viewers for the New York Giants vs. San Francisco game as well as Big Bang Theory on CBS in hour one.

WWE will attempt to rebound next week and historically, will get a boost due to it being the fallout episode for Survivor Series.

Becky Lynch Reportedly Pulled From Survivor Series Due To Concussion

8

In what could be a major blow to a hot angle, Becky Lynch has reportedly suffered a concussion and could miss Survivor Series. Fightful is reporting they have been informed Becky Lynch has suffered a mild concussion and has been pulled from Sunday’s match against Ronda Rousey.

“I’m waiting to hear from WWE officially, but I was told she’s not cleared right now for competition,” noted Dave Meltzer. “Fightful story is probably accurate but all we’ve heard is bout in jeopardy.”

WWE has yet to comment on the situation. If Lynch has been pulled from the show, they will need to address it tonight on Smackdown.

Becky Lynch Suffered A Concussion On Raw?

Lynch was busted open during the Raw vs Smackdown women’s roster melee to close out Raw last night. There are reports she may have taken an elbow to the nose from Nia Jax, however we cannot confirm that is what caused her injury.

WWE social media has been promoting the Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey Survivor Series match all day, however. They posted the following video of Lynch chewing out a reporter for wearing a Ronda Rousey jacket into an interview:

“I don’t know if you know this,” Lynch started. “Or if you’ve done any work coming into this interview, to interview the champ but I actually have a big match against Ronda Rousey. I think it’s a little bit disrespectful and unprofessional to come in wearing a Ronda Rousey jacket. So if you actually want to do this interview maybe go out there, take your jacket off and come back in.”

Alexa Bliss Could Be Sidelined For Significant Period Of Time

3

Alexa Bliss has still not been cleared to return to physical activity for WWE. Recently, it was announced that Bliss has suffered from several concussions over a short period of time. WWE officials want to be careful with her return. As a result, Bliss missed matches at Evolution and will not compete at Survivor Series.

However, she has stayed involved in storylines in non-physical roles. Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that WWE will hold Bliss out as long as necessary to ensure her safety. The company will keep Bliss in the mix, however, as they have been, in non-physical roles. Johnson also addressed the rumors regarding Bliss possibly retiring from in-ring competition.

Johnson said that hasn’t been confirmed to him by anybody. He did confirm, however, that there is “legitimate concern” that Bliss won’t be back in a physical role with WWE anytime soon. Johnson did say that all of that could change with one medical appointment, but much like Daniel Bryan’s past situation, she could be out-of-action for a significant amount of time.

He ended by saying there’s no definitive direction one way or the other on the situation. We’ll keep you updated on the matter as we learn more…

How long do you think Bliss will be held out of in-ring competition?

Finn Balor Was Not Initially Planned For Team RAW At Survivor Series

0

Finn Balor was added to Team RAW on last night’s go-home episode before Survivor Series this weekend. Now Balor joins Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, and Dolph Ziggler on Team RAW. Initially, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle was penciled in for Balor’s spot on Team RAW, per PWInsider.

However, Angle was instead destroyed by McIntyre on last week’s episode of RAW. Mike Johnson of PWInsider Audio reports that Angle was, in fact, planned to be on Team RAW instead of Balor. Johnson noted that “for whatever reason,” WWE decided to write Angle off storylines for now. After Angle was destroyed by McIntyre on TV, announcers noted the possibility of Angle’s in-ring career being over.

There are currently no indications that is the case and could stricly be storyline-based. Recent reports suggested that Angle was training hard for his return to the squared circle. When that return might take place, however, remains to be seen. “The Olympic Hero” has yet to have a big singles match at WrestleMania since returning to the company in 2017.

Perhaps this year he’ll get the big match-up he and fans have been waiting to see.

What do you think of Team RAW as it currently stands?
