Jim Ross On If Shawn Michaels’ Return Would Be A One Off Thing

1

Shawn Michaels’ return is one of the most discussed topics related to the Crown Jewel PPV, and there are lots of rumors about him wrestling more matches in the future after the upcoming show.

During the latest episode of his Jim Ross Report podcast, WWE Legend Jim Ross talked about many things including his payday during the last Saudi Arabian trip and more.

While discussing Michaels’ in-ring return, Ross said that he thinks Shawn has got plenty of matches left in him, that is if he is booked wisely.

Continuing on the topic, Jim said that this will happen if the former World Champion can go out there and maintain the level of performance he is comfortable with, while also claiming that he won’t be comfortable with mediocrity.

Finally, JR claimed that Shawn has got a lot left in the tank if the vehicle is driven correctly, explaining that he could see him having a significant WrestleMania moment if he is booked smartly and strategically.

Jim Ross also talked about the argument about the upcoming Crown Jewel PPV saying that he has heard both sides of the argument and there is no right answer to it.

What do you think about Shawn Michaels’ return to the ring and possible future matches? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Stephanie McMahon Says Women’s Tag Titles Are Coming ‘Sooner Than We Think’

2

The Women’s Tag Team Titles have been in talk recently and WWE itself is partially responsible for keeping this discussion alive with various hints.

Another one of these hints came from the Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon recently when Sky Sports asked her about the titles. Replying to it, the WWE Official said that the women’s tag titles are coming ‘sooner than we think’.

The site then spoke to a number of female stars about the possible introduction of the new belts including the likes of Bayley, Sasha Banks and more.

When asked about it, Banks said that she has heard rumors about it. She claimed that it’s really awesome for the Raw Commissioner to say that because it is a dream come true.

Continuing on the topic, she talked about possibly winning the titles with Bayley saying that it’s an honor to work with her best friend and she is happy to have a match with her at Evolution.

On the other hand, Bayley admitted that she never thought herself as a tag team champion but said that it will be very cool to be the first ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

There is still no solid word on when we might actually see the debut of these titles. Though as we noted before, WWE Officials were handing out signs regarding it during recent shows.

Now after Stephanie McMahon’s comment, it appears that the announcement regarding the new championships will be made sooner rather than later.

Was Evolution Really Sold Out?, Nikki Bella Hints At Taking Another Break From Wrestling

2

Was Evolution Really Sold Out?

Both Michael Cole and Renee Young mentioned during the Evolution PPV that the event was sold out but unlike other events, the commentary team didn’t mention the number of attendance.

Later fans in attendance posted some photos of the event from their Twitter accounts which reveal that the show wasn’t actually sold out as claimed.

The photos as seen below reveal that there were many empty seats in the arena and from the looks of it, it appears that the company was only able to sell out about 70% tickets for the show:

Nikki Bella Hints At Taking Another Break From Wrestling

Nikki Bella challenged Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey for her title in the main event of Evolution PPV but the former Diva’s Champion was unsuccessful in her quest.

Bella was interviewed backstage after her loss and talking about her match with the former UFC Star, Nikki said that the PPV proved that the Diva’s Era is officially over.

However continuing on the topic, Nikki Bella claimed that she is not done with Ronda and hinted at possibly taking another break, saying “When I come back here, I’m going to be a brand new woman”:

Fans Boo Crown Jewel Promo During Evolution (Video)

5

WWE made the surprising decision to promote the Crown Jewel PPV during last night’s Evolution event and as you can expect, the idea didn’t go over with the fans in attendance.

WWE debuted a new video package promoting the upcoming Crown Jewel event set to be held in Saudi Arabia later this week during the All Women’s PPV.

However, as soon as the Crown Jewel logo appeared on the jumbotron, the crowd started booing. Below you can see a video of people booing as Michael Cole promotes the upcoming show:

https://twitter.com/GIFSkull/status/1056729197391962112

Though the Officials were quick to respond to the situation. According to fans in attendance, the company took the graphics of the upcoming show off from the jumbotron within seconds.

This incident proves that the fans who are unhappy with the company moving forward with the event are going to raise their voice against it.

Now it’d be interesting to see how WWE handles the situation at the upcoming shows and whether or not they promote the event during the go home episodes of Raw and SmackDown this week.

WWE Crown Jewel takes place from Riyadh Saudi Arabia on Friday, November 2nd. You can check out an updated card for the event here.

Rousey made her professional wrestling in-ring debut when teaming up with Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 34 in April after signed made her promotional debut at the Royal Rumble event.

It’s possible that WWE will book a rematch between these two stars at the next PPV show or the company has different plans for the two stars. The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets.

Stephanie McMahon On Women Potentially Being In WrestleMania Main Event, Triple H’s Influence

0

Stephanie McMahon spoke with Cathy Kelley earlier on Sunday before the WWE Evolution pay-per-view event that takes place in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the WWE Network.

In this interview, she spoke about various topics including women possibly headlining WrestleMania. This is where the daughter of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon stated that she hopes the legacy of this show will be that it’s not so groundbreaking or Earth shattering to have an all-women’s event because she wants to see their women main event WrestleMania.

“Every match at WrestleMania is a main event, but I want to see them close the show. The way they have succeeded in so many other shows.” She continued by stating that the WWE wants true gender parity and equality on the WWE roster. She added that “today is hugely important step in that mission.”

McMahon also spoke about Triple H’s influence on women’s wrestling starting with the Performance Center all the way to the main roster. She recalled him recruiting elite athletes, male and female, the same all over the world and started training the women same as the men. She gave him credit for bringing in the first-ever women’s coach, Sara Amato as well as giving women the same amount of match time at live events and on TV.

She continued, “That’s when the WWE Universe started chanting ‘women’s wrestling’ and ‘this is wrestling.’ That is really the biggest moment that gave rise to the ‘give divas a chance’ chant and hashtag that happened for WWE in 2015.”

Raw Star Pulled From Women’s Battle Royal, MYC Competitor Suffers Severe Leg Injury

1

– WWE has pulled Alicia Fox from tonight’s Historic Women’s Battle Royal Match at Evolution after announcing on Friday that she would be replacing Alexa Bliss in a tag team match due to injury.

The official WWE website updated its preview for the Historic Women’s Battle Royal Match and Fox is no longer advertised. This brings the number of scheduled competitors to 20. They are Asuka, Naomi, Carmella, Nia Jax, Ember Moon, Dana Brooke, Lana, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Tamina, Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool, Alundra Blayze, Ivory, Molly Holly, Kelly Kelly, Maria Kanellis, and Zelina Vega. The winner earns a future Women’s Championship Match.

Fox will team up with Mickie James against Trish Stratus and Lita. Bliss will be present in Fox and James’ corner.

– Vanessa Kraven, who competed in Mae Young Classic 2018, suffered a severe injury to her left leg last night at an independent wrestling event in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. As a result, she has canceled all of her scheduled bookings for the remainder of the year.

Kraven wrote this morning on Facebook, “Let me start by saying that this year has been a pretty good year for me wrestling-wise. Last night, coming back to Ottawa for Acclaim pro wrestling for the 1st time after my MYC appearance, the wonderful reaction from the fans put me on a high right from my entrance!

“I’m not sure if any of you in attendance saw that something was wrong after I won my match, but there was, and I didn’t want to say anything until I got the official word.

“Unfortunately, my left leg suffered a severe torquing during a move while my foot stayed more or less planted on the canvas, resulting in both a fracture and break in my lower leg. I went to the hospital and currently have a fiberglass support “cast” on it and will be getting a full cast put on tomorrow. I won’t know how long the cast will have to be on until tomorrow but I’m unfortunately having to at least cancel my wrestling bookings for the rest of 2018… highly likely some of 2019 as well.”

Kraven wrestled one match in the Mae Young Classic, which resulted in a loss to Lacey Lane in the First Round.

Bubba The Love Sponge Is Broke And Selling House He Recorded Hulk Hogan In

10

Bubba the Love Sponge is broke, selling his house, and even had to give away his dog because he could no longer afford the veterinary costs. That house, by the way, is the same one Hulk Hogan was secretly recorded in having sex with Bubba’s wife and going on a racist tirade. Hogan sued Bubba after the tape was leaked and received an undisclosed settlement in 2012. Bubba claims former employees of his leaked the tape in an effort to get him fired.

The Tampa Bay Times caught up with Bubba the Love Sponge recently and it turns out things are not going well for the infamous DJ.

What Happened To Bubba The Love Sponge?

“There’s really nothing you can say to take me down further than I already am,” Bubba said to the Tampa Bay Times.

Bubba has even admitted to needing to borrow money from his neighbor so he could get his water turned back on. Before the Hulk Hogan secret-recording scandal, Bubba was believed to be making $2 million a year in the radio business. He has also been sued by Nielson’s recently to the tune of $1 million for a rating-fixing scandal. Howard Stern has stated on his show that he believes Bubba lives in a trailer now.

“This is hard for me to admit, but … I’ve had my water turned off,” Bubba said. “I had to go to my neighbor, Richard Fabrizi, just to borrow a few hundred bucks to get it turned on.”

Bubba’s home is listed at $1.3 million and he is said to owe $47,000 in property taxes and another $200,000 to the IRS.

Hulk Hogan Talks About Holding Younger Wrestlers Down

9

Hulk Hogan recently gave an interview to the Orlando Sentinel where he made headlines once he said that he would be at WWE Crown Jewel next Friday. He also spoke about other topics including the rumors of him holding down the younger talent when he was at the top of the helm. The WWE Hall of Famer admitted that the rumors were indeed true.

“Once I got in the spot, to keep the spot, that’s where the politics came in”, Hogan revealed. “Everybody goes, ‘Well, Hulk Hogan was a politician.’ Well, thank God I was.”

Hogan continued by stating that’s why he made more money than anybody and kept the belt longer. He added, “That’s why instead of a five or six or ten year run like The Rock or Stone Cold or different wrestlers, I had a 35 year run on top.”

Although he has a long-lasting relationship with the WWE, there have been some hiccups between the two sides throughout the years. Most notably he left the company to join World Championship Wrestling in the 1990’s, and he worked in TNA Wrestling for a few years.

There’s no doubt that he’s one of the biggest names that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon ever created was Hogan. He has been a household name in the world of professional wrestling for decades now.

Jeff Hardy Discusses Planning Behind Randy Orton Twisting Ear With Screwdriver

Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton’s feud on SmackDown Live produced one of the hardest to watch segments in recent WWE memory. During an episode of SmackDown Live several weeks ago, Orton attacked Hardy before putting his finger in his ear piercing, and pulling on it. Many in the crowd were cringing and had their jaws dropped. The same could be said for those watching at home.

During their match at Hell In A Cell (HIAC), WWE took things a step further. Orton took a screwdriver, inserted it into the piercing, and again mangled Hardy’s ear. Hardy spoke to “The 11th Hour” recently to discuss the spots. He detailed the planning and conversation that went into it:

“We did the first earlobe deal, you know, with just the fingers and … actually one of the up and coming commentators – I think he’s from 205 Live – he had mentioned it as far as I said, ‘You can twist it too!’, but then he was like, ‘What if you use a screwdriver?’

“And then we kind of threw around ideas, and we both compromised on that certain screwdriver– to put it in, twist it, make it real tight and not rip it off! [Laughs] Yeah, watching that back with Randy’s face was … This is like, wow, they’re doing a good horror movie or something!

“And the fans knew it was coming, you know, because when they saw him trap my arms, they’d seen it before– and they knew it was coming again. So it was great. Overall, that match, I’m extremely proud of it.”

Becky Lynch Wants Rousey Feud, Reveals Desired WWE Intergender Match Opponent

Tomorrow night (Sun. October 28, 2018) SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will defend her title against Charlotte Flair. The two bitter rivals will go head-to-head in a Last Woman Standing match for the strap. Ahead of their contest, Lynch participated in an “Ask Me Anything” on Reddit.

Despite currently being in a feud with Flair, Lynch was asked about a possible program with current RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. Lynch likes the idea of getting the chance to punch “The Rowdy One” in the jaw:

“Ronda’s jaw is always running but my fist is itching to catch up with her. Charlotte first, and then I’ll plan my next move. But I’ve said it before: Ronda reminds me of a slot machine — the harder you kick her, the more money falls out.”

Lynch was then asked about a possible intergender match in WWE. The trend has been very popular in the indy professional wrestling community as of late. While it’s highly unlikely WWE picks up on it, Lynch knows who she’d like to share the ring with if given the opportunity:

“Seth Rollins.”

The Bellas Were Caught Off Guard By WWE’s Announcement Of Evolution

3

WWE’s announcement of Evolution took a lot of people by surprise. Even The Bella Twins. WWE will host its first-ever all-female pay-per-view (PPV) tomorrow (Sat., October 27, 2018) from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The show will be headlined by two of WWE’s biggest female stars.

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will defend her title against Nikki Bella. Nikki’s sister, Brie, will likely be in her corner. Recently, The Bella Twins took part in a Q&A panel at the Ace Comic Con in Chicago. During the session, they were asked about their reaction to the announcement of the PPV.

Never Saw It Coming

Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H made the announcement inside the ring, with all the WWE Superstars on the entrance ramp of RAW. Brie initially assumed the announcement was going to be in regards to Women’s Tag Team Titles:

“I actually thought they were probably bringing in tag team titles for the women, just because of how everyone was out in the ring and they were speaking,” Brie said. “And I wasn’t expecting an all women’s pay-per-view.

“Look, I have goosebumps just saying it out loud. I was sitting on the couch watching and I was like, ‘wait, what?’ It really made me teary eyed. I was like, ‘wow, this is a really historic moment for WWE.’”

As for Nikki, she was definitely taken aback by the announcement. She believed women would main event a WrestleMania before getting their own PPV:

“I was with Brie and I remember we were both floored,” Nikki said. “I mean, I was in shock. And I had no idea it was coming either. I thought we might see first women main eventing WrestleMania and then an all women’s pay-per-view, but I love the fact that that [has] come before that. It’s amazing.”
