Cody Tells Vince Russo To Stay Away From All-In

18

Controversial wrestling personality, Vince Russo, has expressed his desire to appear at Bullet Club’s All-In event on September 1st, 2018. For his part, Cody has expressed his strong desire Vince Russo not appear at the event. Cody also recently announced he has booked his dog, Pharoah, for the event.

This dynamic recently led to a series of Twitter messages we have curated for you below. Enjoy!

Cody responded to Russo’s text not long after.

Vince Russo then sent out a series of additional Tweets:

The above Tweet could be construed as Russo saying the style of wrestling at All-In would be too dangerous.

The above Tweet seems to insinuate Russo feels he is being ostracized for having a perspective which deviates from the norm.

Velveteen Dream has been cutting some anti-independent wrestling fan promos as of late.

Russo gives the old “Sorry Not Sorry” line.

It’s not completely clear what Russo’s opposing viewpoints are although he seems to indicate modern wrestling is a little too dangerous.

Cody Books His Dog at Starrcast, Not Vince Russo

Shortly before the exchange with Vince Russo, Cody announced that his Huskie “Pharoah” has been booked for Starrcast. Since Pharoah does not benefit from human currency, proceeds from his appearance will go towards the PAWS Chicago organization. Current speculation states Pharoah is a Good Boy.

ROH War of the Worlds Toronto Live Report

1

Ring of Honor’s 2nd stop on their War of the Worlds 2018 tour was in Toronto’s Ted Reeve Arena. The show was a legit sellout with tickets on the secondary market going for several times above face value.

The venue holds 1,500 and the live crowd was lively and fun all night. ROH could easily run a bigger venue in the city for these shows.

ROH War of the Worlds Toronto Live Report

1. IWPG United States Championship Match
Jay White (c) defeated Punishment Martinez

  • This was White’s 3rd straight title defense. He’s one defense away from tying Omega’s record of 4.
  • White got a big pop and streamers during his introduction.
  • Martinez attempted to use a chair against Martinez but Hangman Page ran in to break it up.
  • White hit the Switchblade off the distraction for the win.

2. Cheeseburger defeated Bully Ray via DQ

  • Before the match, Bully cut a promo on how streamers were stupid. This led to the fans throwing streamers at him and cheering when anything hit him in the head.
  • Fans chanted for streamers and also for D-Von. There were also a few jeers of “Give us hell, Quimby!” from a Simpsons-loving fan behind me.
  • Bully cut a promo calling the fans marks and snowflake millennials.
  • Cheeseburger came out and told Bully he wasn’t afraid of him.
  • Bully beat him up considerably and then got DQ for hitting him with a chair.
  • After the match, Bully made it look as though he was going to powerbomb his opponent on the outside but then simply placed Cheeseburger on the ground and left.

3. Tetsuya Naito defeated the Beer City Bruiser

  • Surprisingly, the Bruiser got the bulk of the offense in this match.
  • Bruiser got heat from the Canadian crowd by attempting to get a USA chant going.
  • Naito won with two Destinos in a row. The first Destino didn’t land quite as he likely wanted it to, so he went for and hit a second for the win.

4. the Young Bucks defeated the Super Smash Bros.

  • For those unaware, the Super Smash Bros are stars of Toronto’s independent wrestling scene, specifically for Smash Wrestling. They’ve had a rivalry with the Bucks doing back to 2009 when they met several times in Chikara and Pro Wrestling Guerilla.
  • This was the first time they’ve met in almost 4 years.
  • Fans were into the match from start to finish, with both teams getting chants.
  • Bucks won with a Meltzer Driver and both teams celebrated in the ring after as fans cheered the match.
  • After the match, the Briscoes hit the ring and took out both teams.
  • The Briscoes cut a promo stating they were the ones who run ROH and insulted any fan wearing a Young Bucks or Bullet Club t-shirt.

5. Women of Honor
Jenny Rose & Tenille Dashwood defeated Xandra Bale and Alexia Nicole

  • Bale and Nicole are two local wrestlers from just outside of Toronto (Thornhill and Woodbridge to be exact). Like the Super Smash Brothers, both Nicole and Bale wrestle consistently for Smash Wrestling in Toronto and surrounding areas.
  • Bale and Nicole were both making their Ring of Honor debuts.
  • Rose was eliminated in the 1st round of the WOH tournament but has since scored a win over Brandi Rhodes on ROH TV.
  • Dashwood was the big star but Rose was the most dominant in the match.
  • Rose hit a backbreaker/Rock bottom combo on Bale for the win.
  • Watching the show back on Honor Club, commentary mentioned Jenny Rose is the next in line for a title shot against Sumie Sakai.

6. SoCal Uncensored defeated Roppongi 3K

  • In Lowell on Thursday night, the Kingdom defeated SCU for the 6-Man Tag-Team Championships.
  • SCU got back on the winning track in Toronto, defeating Roppongi 3K.
  • Kazarian pinned Rocky Romero after Celebrity Rehab and a spinning kick to the face by Scorpio Sky.
  • On commentary, it was suggested that SCU is now right back in the running for a shot at 6-Man Tag Team Championships.

7. Ring of Honor TV Championship
Silas Young (c) defeated Hangman Page

  • Before the match, Punishment Martinez attacked Page from behind out of retaliation for Page’s earlier thwarting of Martinez’s attempt to use a chair against Jay White.
  • It looked as though Page would not be able to compete but Young insisted the referee start the match and begin to count him out.
  • Page made it back into the ring but the injuries he suffered before the match gave Young the advantage here.
  • Page hit a moonsault to the outside, springboard Buckshot lariat, but then Silas countered the Right of Passage into Misery for the win.

8. Cody defeated Jushin Liger

  • While there was some booing of Cody, for the most part, this was a pro-Cody crowd. He got streamers and a big pop.
  • Liger also got a big pop, chants, and streamers. Dueling chants for both wrestlers happened a couple of times.
  • Cody had to cheat to win. He grabbed Liger’s horns and twisted his mask to the side before hitting the Cross Rhodes for the win.

9. Los InGobernables (Sanada, Evil, and Hiromu Takahashi) w/Bushi defeated Kenny King, Jay Lethal, and Colt Cabana

  • Dalton Castle’s injury resulted in Colt Cabana replacing him in this match.
  • While Cabana and Takahashi were in the ring, Cabana proclaimed he wanted to face Darryl, the stuffed cat. Takahashi then got Darryl, placed him in the ring and then left the ring himself to cheer Darryl on.
  • Cabana danced around the toy cat for a few moments pretending to wrestle him. When the cat fell over and lost his little hat, everyone decided it was time for him to go back to the timekeepers’ table. A “This is Wrestling” chant broke out during this as well.
  • Following Cabana being sprayed in the eyes with poison mist by Bushi, Evil hit the STO on him and got the pin.
  • After the match, Evil grabbed the microphone and welcomed everyone to the Darkness World. He reminded us that everything is evil.
  • Naito then did his normal closing promo, introducing the members of LIJ to close the show.

Update on Charlotte Flair Following Injury

13

As we reported recently former Smackdown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair recently lost some teeth during a bout against Carmella on the WWE European Tour. The match in Oberhausen, Germany was abruptly ended via DQ when Carmella was disqualified for refusing the back off when the referee was breaking up her attack in the corner.

Charlotte has now updated fans on her condition following a return to the United States, she posted on her Instagram (as part of her Instagram Story) to confirm that she underwent dental work at Cosmetic Dentistry of the Carolinas near Charlotte, NC.

To add to Charlotte’s list of injuries she is also awaiting surgery to repair a ruptured breast implant, she sustained this before WrestleMania 34. Initially, she decided to hold off on the surgery because she wanted to work WrestleMania 34 against Asuka. When WWE decided to put the SmackDown Women’s Championship on Carmella, Charlotte was asked to work against Carmella at Backlash.

Charlotte had reportedly hoped to hold off on the surgery until after the lucrative European tour, however she has since returned home and will likely be under he knife sooner rather than later to be ready in time for Summerslam.

UK Match of the Week – James Ellsworth vs Jimmy Havoc from IPW:UK

0

Welcome back to the UK Match of the Week. Now granted this isn’t quite the technical masterpiece that some of our other highlighted bouts have been but it certainly was a spectacle…we present James Ellsworth vs CZW Tournament of Death winner and arguably the best Deathmatch performer in the world: Jimmy Havoc.

Ever since his departure from WWE Ellsworth has been sporadically appearing on cards across the United States, including in a bout against Matt Riddle for Joey Janela’s Spring Break 2 during WrestleMania weekend this year.

This bout between Havoc and Ellsworth took place at IPW:UK’s ingeniously named ‘Chin Up Son’ event on May 2nd and was the first time that Ellsworth had appeared in the UK outside of WWE. Fans of the rising UK promotion instantly demanded that Havoc take on Ellsworth ever since the master of the ‘No Chin Music’ was announced. Havoc jokingly tweeted that he would “remove one of his hands” playing up Ellsworth’s “any man with two hands has a chance” catchphrase and the resulting bout has to be seen to be believed.

Check out the tweet below to find the match and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

WWE Linked Star Posts Cryptic Tweet Following Rev Pro Event

5

WWE linked independent star Keith Lee posted a cryptic tweet following his appearance at Revolution Pro Wrestling’s (UK) Epic Encounter 2018 event last night. Lee faced NJPW star Tomohiro Ishii in the main event of the show for the British Heavyweight Championship, he lost the bout and left the ring to a standing ovation from the British fans.

Lee wrote “England….I sure hope there’s a next time” alluding to the rumors that he has in fact signed a contract with WWE and will be reporting to NXT and the Performance Center following his contracted independent dates this month, which include a bout against Minoru Suzuki at tonight’s OTT ScrapperMania IV show.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter back in March both Keith Lee and fellow Independent star WALTER were offered spots at the NXT Performance Center starting in May but at that time it was unknown if WALTER was going to accept the contract. Lee was however expected to accept WWE’s offer and it appears as though he may well be making the transition to WWE in the near future.

Minoru Suzuki vs Kazuchika Okada Announced for 30th Anniversary

0

Japanese wrestling legend Minoru Suzuki will be facing current reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada for his upcoming 30th Anniversary match. Suzuki made the following comments during an interview with New Japan’s English language site NJPW1972.com:

“When we were putting this card together, this match was part of the conversation from the very start. The reason I wanted Okada was that he was born at the same time my career started, and right now he’s at the very top of the wrestling world. It’s really a dream match to show to so many people, all gathered for free under the blue Yokohama sky. He’s the best opponent I could think of to show everyone just what incredible things can happen in life. That’s what I kept in mind as we negotiated the match.”

The match will be part of the Great Pirate Festival, a two day free event on June 23rd and 24th at Yokohama’s Red Brick Warehouse and wrestling cards will be part of the presentation on both days. It has not been confirmed if the event will be shown on NJPWWorld.com however at this juncture it is unlikely to a live broadcast.

Suzuki has also been confirmed for the main event of day 2, where he will be teaming with Hikaru Sato to take on the team of NOSAWA Rongai & MASADA.

Kurt Angle On If WWE Should Turn Roman Reigns Heel

24

Whether or not Roman Reigns should turn heel is a discussion which has been going on for years now and seeing the current WWE scenario, this debate is only destined to continue.

Raw General Manager Kurt Angle recently held a question and answer session on his Official Facebook page where a fan asked him whether he thinks the Big Dog Should turn heel.

Replying to it, the Hall Of Famer said that the answer is both yes and no because fans continue to respond to the former Shield Member indicating that it doesn’t matter if it’s a positive or negative response:

“Yes and no. The fans continue to respond to Roman…whether it’s a positive or negative response. Fans CARE about him. Whether he stays face or turns heel, he will always be “the guy”. He gets a huge response every time he comes out to the stage. It’s called popularity. And he’s really good. ”

It’s worth mentioning here that recent reports claim that Officials are still trying to find ways to get people to cheer Roman, despite his recent loses to Brock Lesnar and the company is expected to continue pushing Reigns as a babyface.

Discussion – How do you think WWE should handle Roman Reigns after losing to Brock Lesnar twice? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.

Former WWE Star Tyrus Reveals Why He Left Impact Wrestling

8

Former Impact Wrestling Star Tyrus, better known to WWE fans as Brodus Clay had multiple runs with Impact and he also worked under the new management but ultimately decided to leave the company earlier this year.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, the former Impact Star talked about various things and revealed the reason why he decided to part ways with the promotion.

According to Tyrus, being a part of Impact wasn’t a good thing for his brand due to the various troubles and ownership struggles of the company and hence he decided to leave:

“it’s not a good thing for my brand to be a part of Impact when every week it’s a different change or a different person. If it’s a sinking ship, I’m not going down with it. So, I just thought it was best for me to move on.”

After being released from WWE in June 2014, Tyrus joined Impact and made his debut for the company in September the same year. After working with them for almost 3 years, it was announced in August 2017 that Tyrus has been granted his release.

He returned in January this year but things didn’t work out between him and the new management and in April it was revealed that the former WWE Star has parted his way with the company again.

Though leaving Impact doesn’t seem to be much of a loss for the wrestling star as he has created a huge following in the area of politics in the past several years and has also become a Fox News regular.

Nikki Bella Teases In Ring Return Again

22

Nikki Bella had teased the return of Bella Twins on Twitter not long after the reports of her breakup came out and now she has once again posted a message indicating the same.

The former Diva’s Champion recently claimed on her Instagram that she is planning on making an ‘iconic return’ which many are considering to be a tease of her return to the squared circle.

Nikki Bella last wrestled in the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble earlier this year where she entered at #27 and was one of the final four contestants of the bout.

Her last standard televised match was at WrestleMania 33 where she had teamed up with her ex-boyfriend John Cena for a mixed tag match against the Miz and Maryse.

It’s worth mentioning here that there have been rumors of WWE planning Women’s Tag Titles and word is that the company could introduce the new belts around SummerSlam on the SmackDown Brand.

The last time Nikki teased a return, it was on the Blue Brand. So many believe that she could return as a team with her sister Brie Bella around the time for the PPV and compete for the rumored titles.

Though all this is just a speculation for now and we’ll have to wait and see if these teases actually lead to a return from the former Champion and if they do then what storyline the Total Diva’s Star ends up being a part of.

Daniel Bryan Says He Cried When He Received The News Of His Clearance

5

Daniel Bryan being cleared for an in-ring was a very surprising news for fans and it appears that it was similarly surprising for Bryan himself as well.

Daniel recently appeared on Chris Jericho’s Talk Is Jericho podcast where he revealed the full story of him being cleared among other things.

The company made the announcement of him being cleared on Tuesday, March 20th and according to Bryan he was informed about the decision just the night before:

“They made the announcement on the Tuesday (and) I found out at 9:30 pm Monday Night, the night before, and apparently, it was still kind of being talked about Tuesday Morning as far as whether or not they are actually gonna (clear me).”

Later in the interview, Daniel revealed that he was under the impression that WWE will not clear him and believed that they were sending him to multiple doctors in hopes that someone will say no.

Then one day while he was in Abu Dhabi doing promotional work, he received a call, telling him to meet WWE Medical Director Doctor Joseph Maroon at Pittsburgh the next day.

When he hit Dr. Maroon’s office, he was given the news of his clearance by a note and according to the former SmackDown Live General Manager, it made him cry:

“(I was like) ‘ah ok’ (so I) go to Dallas, go to Pittsburgh, land at 7, go straight to Dr. Maroon’s office (there are) 4 doctors there waiting for me going through all these like tests and scans and talking to me and this kind of stuff and then at 9:30 at night, Dr. Maroon at that point had already left me, left me a sheet of paper and it said ‘it’s been a long time, finally you are cleared’ and I just, I cried.”

The Talk Is Jericho episode featuring Daniel Bryan is a memorable one and if you haven’t listened to it yet, then you should definitely give it a try.

Eric Bischoff Talks If Bullet Club Is An NWO Ripoff

8

Former WCW President Eric Bischoff recently made an appearance on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Bischoff first discussed how he believes his creation of the nWo changed the perception of wrestling in the 90s:

“Context is always king with me. When I was running hard my life was really my office, the inside of a plane, a hotel room, an arena, very little time at home and start that all over again week in and week out.

“I don’t want to say I was living in a bubble so I wasn’t really on the street a lot so lets put it that way and had any contact with unless I was on an airplane or checking into a hotel where people that I was working with or who were people in the arena.

“But when it really hit me was one year when I was over in Japan (must have been 96/97) for one of the big Japanese New Year’s Eve shows and I looked around the arena and there was like hundreds and seemed like a thousand nWo shirts inside the arena and we didn’t even sell them there. So it was like WOW! That is pretty bad-ass.”

In regards to New Japan Pro Wrestling’s (NJPW) Bullet Club, Bischoff explains whether or not he believes they’re ripping off the nWo:

“I don’t look at it as a rip-off honestly. I think it has roots in the nWo and I don’t think that can be denied and I don’t think they are trying to deny it but I think it is more than an homage and I think it is more an extension but certainly its roots creatively speaking are in the nWo. But rip-off to me is something negative and disparaging and I think the Bullet Club is cool.”

While they may not be a ripoff of nWo, Bullet Club has adopted the nWo’s Too Sweet gesture. Bischoff offered his thoughts on the matter and the history of the gesture:

“I’d like to know the first time you saw that too sweet sign on a regular basis? I know they (Hall and Nash) probably did it once or twice as code and like sign language to each other back in The Kliq days as they were breaking but that sign and throwing that sign of too sweet was all apart of the nWo.

“It became something that DX did and now its become something that the Bullet Club is doing but again, I think that the reason the nWo worked and to a degree that DX worked and the reason that the Bullet Club is working is because of the chemistry. If you took a bunch of guys that didn’t have the right vibe and didn’t have it or couldn’t deliver in the ring and just didn’t have that really unique attitude and they were doing the same things that the Bullet Club is now doing would not work.”

Carmella On What Was Going Through Her Mind When She Won SDL Women’s Title

4

SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Carmella recently did a Q&A for WWE’s website to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Here are just some of the highlights:

The SmackDown LIVE after WrestleMania, you cashed in on Charlotte Flair. What made that the right moment?

At WrestleMania, there’s so many big moments, and I didn’t want it to get lost. I wanted everyone to be talking about it. The SmackDown after was the perfect opportunity. Charlotte did the impossible and broke Asuka’s streak. The WrestleMania Week crowd is such a special vibe. Plus, my parents and family were there. I wanted them to see it. It was perfect.

Once the referee counts three and you have the SmackDown Women’s Championship in your hands, what’s going through your mind?

“All of the hard work that I’ve put in over the last few years. Everything came full circle. I thought about being the last draft pick, not debuting with Cass & Enzo on the Raw after WrestleMania. I thought about everyone doubting me, telling me I’ll never be champion, that I’m just a hype girl. I thought about all of that and … the feeling I had was indescribable.

“I love proving people wrong. I love doing things that people say I can’t do. I started my journey in NXT four years ago, and now I’m champion. People can complain and say whatever they want, but I’m still the champion. I did it. I’ll never forget that feeling.”

You’ve still been dealing with your fair share of detractors on social media lately, including those who think your title win is tainted because of The IIconics’ attack on Charlotte. Ultimately, what do you have to say to those who think you don’t deserve to be where you are today?

“At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks I deserve. I don’t deserve anything; I earn it. I worked hard and put in the effort. People say that I went off what The IIconics did, but that’s what every single Money in the Bank holder did — wait for the perfect opportunity.

“You don’t just wait for the champion to be up and then have a normal title opportunity. You have to be sneaky. You have to do it in the way that guarantees a title win. I didn’t want to cash in and lose it. At the end of the day, I don’t care what anyone says because I did everything the way I wanted to do it, and I won.”

Ivelisse Reveals Who Got Her Fired From WWE

10

Current Lucha Underground star and former WWE star Ivelisse recently did an interview with  Chris Van Vliet of WSVN-TV to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Ivelisse previously worked from WWE between the years of 2011 to 2012 as a developmental talent.

Ivelisse first discussed what it was like to get released just before the Women’s Revolution had began to pick up steam:

“It’s kind of bittersweet that that’s what I was trying to fight for when I was in WWE. I did it at the wrong time I suppose, just a little bit before it was time to do that. At that time Bill DeMott was the person that was there and he was kind of a big obstacle for what my goal was there, so right before this women’s evolution.

“Right after I was released when was Sara Del Rey was signed which pretty much signified an actual change coming. That was very bitter. I probably could have held on a little bit longer and maybe it would have been different, but that’s life and we’ll see what the future holds.”

In regards to her firing, Ivelisse divulged that her standing up to Bill DeMott eventually led to her firing:

“It’s kind of bittersweet that that’s what I was trying to fight for when I was in WWE. I did it at the wrong time I suppose, just a little bit before it was time to do that. At that time Bill DeMott was the person that was there and he was kind of a big obstacle for what my goal was there, so right before this women’s evolution.

JBL Defends Road Dogg From Twitter Troll, Carmella Reacts To Meltzer’s 1 Star Rating

5

JBL Defends Road Dogg Against Twitter Troll

Yesterday morning former WWE Champion JBL Tweeted out a gif of himself clotheslining Billy Gunn, joking that he hurt his arm because Gunn ran so hard into him. SmackDown Live writer Road Dogg responded and said he himself ran into JBL’s clothesline hard twice in one match once.

JBL responded by telling Road Dogg that he and Gunn should’ve learned to work better. Road Dogg jokingly responded by saying he still hears that same complaint today, only people now spell “work” as “w.r.i.t.e.” A podcast’s Twitter account attempted to troll Road Dogg with a response, but JBL was quick to jump to his old friend’s aid:

Carmella Responds To Meltzer’s One Star Rating

Many of you may know that F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer has a famous five star rating system in which he grades professional wrestling matches. Recently, Meltzer rated Carmella’s SmackDown Live Women’s Title match against Charlotte Flair at Backlash with one star.

Kenny Omega Wants Three Fall Match With Kazuchika Okada

2

New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) star Kenny Omega recently did an interview with Tokyo Sports to talk about several professional wrestling topics. The Cleaner first discussed his upcoming match-up against Kazuchika Okada at NJPW Dominion. It will be the fourth match between the pair.

Omega talked about the history he has with Okada and the amazing matches they’ve put on with one another:

“In a normal match [Wrestle Kingdom 11], Okada won. In a match, where we both prepared to perfection (last year’s Dominion), it was a draw. In a match where we were both broken down and beaten up, I won.”

In regards to how he thinks he and Okada’s rivalry should be put to bed, he’d like to see a Three Fall match to cap things off:

“A three fall match is the best possible way, the fairest way for us to match stamina, technique and strength.”

CM Punk Announced For Meet & Greet In Chicago During “All-In” Weekend

16

Fans attending Bullet Club’s “All In” event will be able to attend a Meet and Greet with CM Punk the night before. The Pro Wrestling Tees retail store in Chicago has just announced Punk will be at their location on August 31st, 2018, the night before All In.

Is CM Punk All-In?

Cody Rhodes re-tweeted Pro Wrestling Tees’ announcement of Punk’s Meet and Greet. This could fuel speculation of Punk’s further involvement with the event. That news of Punk’s meet and greet in Chicago is coming just before tickets go on sale this Sunday might be a coincidence.

Punk has an upcoming MMA fight to worry about first, however. He takes on Mike Jackson at UFC 225 on June 9th, 2018. UFC 225 will also be held in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.

Punk previously teased the idea he would be appearing at the September 1st, 2018 event earlier this year. Punk posted a Tweet saying fans had been asking him if he’s “All-In”. He followed it up with a post about being “In” for the Chicago Cubs upcoming season, however.

Punk’s friend, Matt Jackson, said this of Punk in an interview he gave earlier this year:

“I will say this: I text message Punk on a weekly basis. We’re good friends,” Matt Jackson said. “We talk wrestling. He still loves wrestling, of course, he does. We’re pro wrestlers. That’s what we do. Even when you quit or retire or whatever, it’s still in your blood.”

Punk has said he’ll never return to WWE but he’s never fully closed the door on a return to wrestling either. On the now-famous episode of Colt Cabana’s “Art of Wrestling” podcast, he did mention the idea of wrestling with the likes of the Young Bucks for promotions such as Pro Wrestling Guerilla. Ever since signing with the UFC, however, Punk’s focus has been solely on MMA it seems.

Top Star Could End Up Missing WWE NXT Takeover: Chicago II

5

Former ROH World Champion Adam Cole has taken the WWE by storm since signing with the sports entertainment company last year.

With Cole being the WWE NXT North American Champion, he is expected to defend it at the NXT Takeover events but he may end up missing the next event, which is Takeover: Chicago II.

By looking at the advertisements, Cole, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly are scheduled for the WWE NXT UK events on June 18th and June 19th in London. There’s still a chance that they could still work the Takeover event if they are able to make the trip in time.

Undisputed Era is slated to wrestle Trent Seven, Tyler Bate and WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne at the June 18th event.

The NXT TakeOver: Chicago event takes place on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena and will air on the WWE Network.

Paige Explains How She Could Wrestle Again One Day

7

Former WWE Divas Champion Paige’s career is over as in-ring performer under the WWE banner. The news was reported a while ago, but WWE had yet to confirm the news up until recently.

For a quick recap, here’s the deal. She was in a six-woman tag match back in late December at a live event that needed to be called off after she took a hard kick to the back from Sasha Banks that she wasn’t ready for and it stunned her.

The early belief was it was just a mild stinger, leading to her losing feeling in her extremities.

Paige recently appeared on the E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness podcast with WWE Hall of Famer Edge and former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Christian.

During the podcast, she was asked if she’ll ever be cleared to wrestle again. Here is what she had to say (transcript courtesy of Express.co.uk).

“My doctor said, maybe, in 15 to 20 years time I could return,” Paige said. “I don’t think I want to wrestle in 15 to 20 years time.”

Paige added, “People say ‘you’ll have the Daniel Bryan thing’ but the thing with Daniel Bryan is his problem was concussion. Ours is spinal, so it’s different.”

Randy Orton Teases WrestleMania Match With Former WWE Champion

8

Randy Orton is well known to the fans of the sports entertainment company as a top guy for the promotion. He is also known for his finishing move, which is great, to say the least.

In recent years, he has worked a more limited schedule for the sports entertainment company. Orton is a third-generation professional wrestler. His grandfather Bob Orton, Sr., father “Cowboy” Bob Orton, and uncle Barry Orton all competed in the professional wrestling business.

Recently on Twitter, Orton teased another match with former WWE Champion Dave Bautista at an upcoming WrestleMania event.

Although he is no longer a member of the WWE’s roster, the former WWE Champion will always be part of the WWE family. “The Animal” is one of the most successful WWE Superstars of all time as he has won six WWE World Titles, a four-time WWE Tag Team Champion, and a two-time Royal Rumble winner (2005 and 2014).

He has not been with the company since late 2014 but has expressed interest in a potential match with Triple H one more time. He wrote the following on his official Twitter account:

“Avengers 3 was just as great the second time around! Who knows maybe I could headline #WrestleMania with #drax @DaveBautista someday.”
